It was unlike any day for Giselle. She woke up early on Sat.u.r.day morning. Her mood seems to be on cloud nine.

After parting ways with Lillian Grey yesterday, Giselle came home and went straight to studying. She kept revising until late at night and ended up sleeping late.

Even though the weekend is free, Giselle woke up before the sunrise. She only slept for three or four hours at maximum. Despite it, Giselle appeared energetic. She finished her morning routine and even helped her mother in preparing breakfast.

Seeing her daughter in high spirits, Melanie, Giselle's mother, celebrated as well.

"Giselle, what is going on?" Melanie asked.

Giselle transferred the sunny side up eggs onto a clean plate, adding a proud smile at the end, she cracked another egg into the pan carefully.

Looking up to see her mother, Giselle began to explain about the special guest who will be visiting her today. Melanie rejoiced from the news. Giselle has never bought anyone home, and this is the first time a friend from her school volunteered to study with their daughter.

Words couldn't describe Melanie's happiness. She grinned and continued preparing breakfast.

"Who is this friend?" Melanie inquired.

Giselle froze for a second thinking about the guest. She never mentioned about Lillian Grey to her family. Hence, it was tough for her to handle the topic.

Giselle's family is supportive of her. Both Eric and Melanie noticed the changes at the early stage and talked with their daughter.

They are comfortable with Giselle's s.e.xuality and had never felt troubled by it. Probably, this is why even though Giselle faced a lot of bullying at school from early days, she endured it very well because of her parents.

Nonetheless, Giselle never mentioned having a crush on Lillian Grey or that she had already confessed and got rejected. Even the incident with Mike, she never shared it with anyone. She feared that it might trouble her parents and so, chose to hide it forever.

When asked about the guest visiting her today, Giselle made sure not to expose her feelings, and hence, she tried so hard to keep it under control.

"Just friend of mine," Giselle laughed as she spoke.

Quickly transferring the final set of the cooked eggs onto a plate, Giselle excused herself and went back to her room.

Locking the door from inside, she squatted down, hugging to her knees, Giselle gasped. Back then, her face almost blew up from hiding. To cover-up, she dashed back to her room to cool down.

Just then, Giselle's mom called her to join in the breakfast. Giselle replied, and after settling down for a bit, she went to have breakfast.

Edwin Grey sat down on the couch, switching on the television, he set it on a news channel that had a debate ongoing. With one hand holding the newspaper, he reduced the volume down which was set high yesterday when Lillian watched a thriller drama.

It was a typical, quiet morning for Edwin Grey as the low voices of the people debating on television reached only Edwin's ears while he read the newspaper. Even the streets calmed down from the bustling traffic.

The time is 10:15 AM, as Edwin enjoyed his usual routine, he heard a loud thud from upstairs.

Edwin knew it was from Lillian's room and that the girl fell from her bed.

He did not react and only kept reading the newspaper.

It felt that Lillian Grey is up and rambling around.

After 15 minutes, Edwin Grey heard the footsteps rus.h.i.+ng downstairs. He looked out to notice Lillian Grey dressed up in a red tunic paired with ripped jeans along with a denim jacket.

She rushed hyper with a sling side bag hanging onto her shoulders loosely. Her hair down still had a few damps of wetness from the shower.

Lillian Grey went straight to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator to grab a carton of Orange juice. She gulped it in one go and looked for breakfast.

Edwin made scrambled eggs with bacon. Without using a plate, Lillian grabbed a fork from the kitchen counter. She ate a few pieces of the scrambled eggs and bacon. Again visiting the refrigerator to seize another carton of orange juice, she left the kitchen in within two minutes.

Entering the living room, she noticed her father's usual routine.

"Woah, a murder!" Lillian Grey snorted from taking a peek at the newspaper.

"Alright, dad, I'm leaving to meet a friend and study. Don't wait for me and eat your lunch. I'll see you later. Bye."

Just as Lillian Grey announced and ready to take off, Edwin asked her if she was going over to Anna's place to study.

"No, I'm letting go of Anna this time. I have someone else who is willing to teach me," Lillian smirked.

It came off as a shock to Edwin as well since he knew that Anna is the only person Lillian Grey would reach out for help. Alarmed by this new presence in his daughter's life, Edwin wondered who it was.

Lillian Grey said goodbye and left her home. Earlier she had texted Giselle for the address and so, leaving the place she started following the directions.

Giselle gave clear instructions to Lillian because she reached Giselle's house sooner than she expected.

Standing outside the door, Lillian Grey adjusted her hair and dress. She wiped off the sweat from her face and took a deep breath before pressing the buzzer.

She waited eagerly.

Soon, someone came to answer the door. Lillian Grey saw a woman, warmly smiling as she answered the door for her.

"Hi, Auntie, I'm Lillian Grey. I'm here to study with Giselle," Lillian Grey greeted.

She did not know why her heart was pounding so fast as if she had to watch out every single action. Regardless, Lillian Grey maintained a composed look and limited chattering.

Melanie, Giselle's mother, invited Lillian Grey inside her home and requested her to sit down while she went to the kitchen to bring out water for the guest.

...

Lillian Grey noticed the house to be homely and s.p.a.cious, no big decorations or like a house filled with lots of objects.

As she entered, Lillian Grey encountered the snow-white color painted walls. To her right positioned the shelter sofa, colored olive green. In front of it was the grey coffee table with a beautiful flower vase at the center. It had a mixture of two types roses, Dark Red and White, evenly proportioned.

Facing the sofa, the wall-mounted television at an angle slightly higher than the regular eyesight. The carpet matched the walls and interior design.

Earlier, Lillian Grey already noticed the French window on the right side of the house with the drapes inside parted sideways to let the sunlight inside. The color of the window drapes matched with the sofa.

Inside the living room, two paths separated at the right end corner. One led to upstairs, and the other led to the kitchen. Before the staircase stood a cupboard tall with gla.s.s doors. In it were stored wine bottles.

The side walls supported lots of pictures of the family members as they can see it while going upstairs. Lillian Grey only took a peek at the number of photographs. There were quite a lot and all arranged in a wave pattern.

Lillian Grey heard the footsteps clearly as it was so quiet inside the house. Quickly, das.h.i.+ng back to her seat, she saw Melanie holding onto a tray of snacks along with a gla.s.s of juice.

"Here you go, Lillian," Melanie placed the tray neatly on the coffee table.

Lillian Grey bowed in respect and took the gla.s.s of juice first to drink. The walk towards Giselle's home was sure exhausting. She took a large sip of it before placing it down.

Just as she placed the gla.s.s down, Giselle's voice echoed.

"MOM, I heard the doorbell, is she here?" Giselle spoke while rus.h.i.+ng down. When reached the living room Giselle saw Lillian Grey seated on the sofa and getting treated by her mother.

"I'm here," Lillian Grey declared, waving a hand at her.

Giselle's eyes grew in shock, she smiled. Giselle's eyes immediately landed at her mother. Melanie appeared natural, nothing suspicious.

Giselle joined them in the living room and introduced Lillian Grey to her mother.

"Nice to meet you, Lillian. I'm Melanie, Giselle's mother."

Melanie spoke softly, her voice subtle and friendly.

Lillian Grey greeted as well; All of her actions seemed cautious as if she didn't want to give a poor first impression.

Soon, Giselle informed Melanie and took Lillian Grey to her room.

On her way, Lillian Grey scanned all of the photographs on the wall. Most of it was from Giselle's childhood pictures. Lillian Grey took time with per step as she engraved each of those images deep into her memories. She chuckled for some and beamed with a radiant smile for others.

Giselle did not notice it as she kept climbing the stairs. When she reached the first floor and found Lillian not there, her eyes searched the stairs and saw the girl carefully studying every photograph.

One such photo being Giselle dressed as cupid child.

Instant blood rushed to her cheeks, brightening the soft skin to redden as Giselle appeared flushed. She went down again to grab Lillian Grey to her room violently.

"Come on," she urged, dragging Lillian Grey by her arms.

"W- Wait, I didn't finish seeing those photographs," Lillian yelped from the sudden startle.

"Don't see it, you are here to study, and so, let's go study right now," Giselle replied, without even sparring a look as she kept pulling Lillian Grey.

Lillian Grey purposely restrained from giving in to her force. She fought back with her strength, making Giselle exert more energy into pulling Lillian Grey to her room.

Within a few hard steps, Giselle finally bought Lillian to the first floor.

...

They both stood in front of Giselle's room.

Giselle throbbed as she flapped the door, and it opened. She went in and immediately fell on her bed from exhaustion.

Meanwhile, Lillian Grey stood by the entrance of Giselle's room.

She panicked from the intrusion. Taking a glance at the room, Lillian peered.

The room was near to perfection. The first thing Lillian noticed was Giselle on her bed. Instantly regretting it, she felt the same unfamiliar feeling arouse her.

"What are you doing there?"

"Come on in and close the door," Giselle spoke, still lying on her bed.

The voice sent chills down the spine for Lillian Grey.

'What the h.e.l.l does she mean by come on in and close the door!' - Lillian felt her heart rate increasing rapidly from hearing those words.

Mumbling to herself, Lillian Grey stepped inside and slowly closed the door.

The sound of the wooden door hitting its frame, startled Lillian Grey. She could feel the instant regret in choosing Giselle to partner up for studying.

'I should have gone to Anna.'

'I did not think this through at all,'

'Why the h.e.l.l it feels so weird right now?'

'If this goes on, I'll even forget how to spell the word 'Math,' - Lillian Grey shuddered.
