Get Back To You 29 Shopping For Our Party

Giselle took her kid Lia out to purchase few items for their party. The items included balloons, baking ingredients for the cake, and dinner. Giselle planned to go out all alone so that she can finish it off soon without any double-trouble. But Lia insisted on tagging along with her mother on one condition; that Lia won't bother her mother with buying toys and street food. Just like any kid, Lia agreed instantly. However, the promise went flying off the sky after taking a few steps outside. Lia noticed a hot dog stall and started looking at her mom with all 'puppy dog eyes'. Giselle had to control her feelings to never fall into the trap. She walked with Lia; holding her hand tightly. That way, she doesn't need to check for her every single time but also ignore those 'cute looks that can knock out you instantly'. They've entered a fancy shop that sells out decoration items. Giselle went in to get some balloons, scented candles, party hangers-on ceilings and some fancy 'welcome home' designed hangers.

Throughout the whole shopping, Lia maintained her composure. This was probably because after getting rejected at the first time, Lia must have endured herself from those wishes. Because Lia behaved well and didn't give Giselle too much of the trouble, the mother finally gave in to her daughter's wish. She granted her a wish to buy anything. Lia overwhelmed in joy. However, this is an 'only one' wish; Lia thought carefully before finalizing. She asked for a 'jigsaw puzzle'. It wasn't so bad, Lia likes these type of things. Giselle encouraged it by purchasing three different jigsaw puzzles. Either she was lucky or it was an accident; because Giselle found a combo offer with three jigsaw puzzles at a cheap rate. Lia graciously accepted her gift. Later, they both returned home. Lia went to her room and placed them in her closed. She ran back to the living room and followed her mother desperately.

Giselle was unable to arrange the purchased items. She finally gave the little girl some attention, "What is it baby? Do you want something?"

"Mom, I'm hungry. Can I have a snack?" Lia seemed really tired from all those walking. Giselle gave her chocolate chip cookies to eat. After getting them, Lia went straight to her room and never disturbed her mother again. Giselle decided the menu for the party.

Roasted Chicken, Greek salad, mash potatoes, fruit punch, wine, and some bread. She added fried veg curry with rice. Giselle loves curry because her mother prepares it often. She even got mastered in making curries. It will be a good choice of the menu since her parents will be present as well.

Meanwhile at Giselle's parents home:

Melanie, Giselle's mother was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch when Eric, Giselle's father walked into the kitchen to have a conversation. Melanie felt the disturbance while cooking. When she couldn't handle it anymore, she raised her voice, "What is it, honey? I can't move freely with you being in here just standing in middle."

Eric looked anxious. Although, in the beginning, he felt hesitated he continued to talk. Since it will be the first time seeing their granddaughter, Eric thought that they should buy Lia a gift. Melanie looked gloomy after hearing Eric talk. Why didn't she think of that? Melanie blamed herself however, this is not the time to weep. The old couple soon decided to buy presents for their lovely granddaughter. Eric and Melanie planned to go out shopping.
