'Birds chirping, I feel the light, coming through the windows. It's so quiet that all I keep hearing is the birds chirping sound. This is so peaceful. I wish I could stay like this forever.' - Lia thought to herself - still fidgeting in her bed. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see the suns.h.i.+ne.

It was a beautiful morning with a clear sky. There were no clouds which made the suns.h.i.+ne spread wide across the sky, giving it a beautiful orangish color. Lia smiled looking at the scenario. She stretched out her arms and turned around to see the time.

Time - 7:30 AM, Wednesday

"The time is 7...: 30... AM... Wed...nes...da...y." Lia read the clock display at a slow pace.

Next thing, the quiet peaceful morning turned into a nightmare. Lia screamed out loud. She ran out of her room and found no presence of her mother, Giselle.

'Mom, where are you? Is this a dream?' Lia feared.

Quickly, she went to the living room, kitchen, bathroom and finally to Giselle's room. Steadily, she took step by step, opening the door and searched for her mother.

Lia's face turned pale. She saw her mother on her bed, still asleep. Lia went from pale to furious within a second. She walked towards the bed and stood near her mother.

Giselle who's sleeping peacefully heard a loud noise from her sides. The screaming sound increased by seconds and haunted Giselle in her dreams. With a quick and sudden movement, Giselle sprang out of her bed. Her breathing was unsteady. It looked as if she got choked while dreaming. Giselle had to calm herself down before becoming aware of her surrounding.

A few seconds later...

Giselle turned to look at her nightstand. She noticed Lia standing there, glaring at her mother. For a second, Giselle thought it's was a child ghost. When Lia moved further towards her mother, Giselle got startled. She moved away, literally taking Lia for a ghost.

"Mom," Lia shouted.

"Mom? Me?" Giselle looked at the kid.

It was Lia. Giselle exhaled. "What'up baby?" Giselle smiled leisurely.

"Mom, do you know what time it is?" Lia grunted.

"What? It's..." Giselle looked tried to look out. Her room never received the morning vibes entirely. All she could notice is that 'there's light outside'. Giselle came to the conclusion that it was early morning. She patted Lia on her head and replied, "It's morning, Lia."

"Mom," Lia shouted again. This time she didn't give her mother a chance to reply.

"It's Wednesday morning. The time is 7...: 40 AM now." Lia's eyes widened as she talked.

Giselle's mind took a second before realizing that Wednesday is when Lia starts her school. Slowly, the mother's reaction went from low to extremely high level of anxiety.

"WHAT" Giselle shouted this time. She crawled out of bed and took her mobile phone to check if Lia's saying the truth.

It was real. They slept off and woke up late. Giselle's mind filled with horror and fear. She had to calm herself before rus.h.i.+ng things. She looked at the time once again and devised the plan:

The time now - 7:42 AM

Cla.s.ses start at 9:00 AM

Must be there at School by - 8:30 AM

Remaining time - 48 minutes.

"Lia, go brush up first. I'll make breakfast for you. Did you have your dress ready?" Giselle asked.

"Yeah, I prepared it last night. It's ready."

"Alright, go brush up first and then take a shower," Giselle walked out of her room. Lia followed her. With a concrete-like plan, the mother and daughter combo moved their b.u.t.ts faster on Wednesday morning.
