"It took that turn, huh."
He mumbled to himself as he stared at the woman's sleeping form.
"Though I have to admit, I've never seen such a desperate soul. To think it would change so much of their fate."
Modor prepped his hand to rest on his head as continued to lay on his side. Feeling aggrieved, he released a sigh as he once again peered at the bowl.
Closing his eyes, millions of visions flowed through his mind and as per his duty, he immediately delegated these tasks to his little Fates.
"So many preparations ruined just because of this instance. Guess I have no choice but to call them now."
He grumbled as he hoisted himself off the bed. After stretching a while, he fixed his robes just as one of the Fates had entered the room.
Through his ability, the All-Knowing mind, he can connect all knowledge of the fates with one another. And this allows the coherency of Fate as well as telepathy towards his people. This was in order for them to easily communicate with each other without the fear of information being leaked. After all, if one's fate was to be known, someone would most likely take advantage of such knowledge.
But although Modor can easily know what all his little Fates know, since he is a King, when they do try to communicate with him, they only are able to know what Modor wants them to know.
The impenetrable barriers in his mind are near perfect, making even the different Kings unable to pierce through it.
And so, hiding the knowledge of a certain person's fate, he wordlessly instructed the little Fate to check on Inna's world.
It was supposed to be his plan before but now that everything has changed, visiting the Garden of Eden took precedence.
So, while sending the Fate to Inna's world first to check on the things with Inna's so-called 'friends,' Modor readied himself to enter the Garden of Eden.
He laid back down on his bed as he separated his body and soul. And after saying a quick goodbye to his alter ego after such a long time, his soul searched for a nearby winged animal. Then, after finding it, he prayed towards Fauna, the King Amara, and to Aves, the King Vinge, to inform them of his visit. Knowing both were probably having a discussion by the fields of Fauna, he hurriedly made his way to the Gates of Heaven.
In a second, he appeared before Aves and Fauna with a bright smile. The two didn't even flinch as they simply looked at him with a blank expression.
"Fancy seeing you two together."
He started with a chuckle as he gracefully sat on the soft gra.s.s of the garden's open fields.
Across him was Fauna, the King Amara, with various land animals comfortably resting around her. Her fiery red hair covered the animals like a mother's wings as it provided them the warmth they badly craved for.
Dressed in robes of blood red, she looked as stunning as ever as she lovingly caressed the saber-toothed cat by her lap. But despite her beauty, her words were filled with spite as she spoke to him.
"No need to act as though you didn't know. Such is the will of the fates for us to be here, no? After all, you've decided to kill off the last family of this poor little animal for the fates of those beloved humans under the reason for it to be the will of the Fates."
"Indeed, indeed. No wonder the Fates have been messing around with my beautiful Giant Ibis. I'll have you know I absolutely reject the thought of it going extinct! That was why I wanted to talk to Fauna on the matter."
Sitting right beside Modor, Aves, the King Vinge, roughly crossed his muscular arms as he spread his pristine white wings to show his protest in the Fates decision. He loved his animals dearly and if the fates were to deem one more of them to be extinct, he wouldn't be afraid to storm into Modor's kingdom.
Modor chuckled at the animosity of these animal-loving Kings.
Of course, they would have a little grudge on him. For far too many years, they were tasked to take care of animals that were given to them by the Supreme G.o.d again and again. And here comes Fate, taking those animals away one by one and making them disappear in all the different worlds they resided.
It was even worse when they took favor of one animal that was on his extinction list.
Modor could only s.h.i.+ver when he recalled the day where Fauna snapped. The memories of her wrath still instilled a small sliver of fear in his little Fates. But thankfully, by Heaven's will, they were not allowed to quarrel at all hence all their wrath would soon diminish over time.
So, knowing that the threat Aves made was just a cute little bluff, Modor softly patted his short silver hair.
"Now now, Aves. I'm not the one messing with your little creature. It is the humans so don't direct your blame on Fate but on the ones making their own Fate, no?"
Showing his displeasure of being touched, Ares narrowed his light grey eyes at him before using his wings to create some distance between them.
"Why are you here, Modor? What do you need from us?"
Aves commented as he fixed his hair. Modor sighed as he knew that it was time for him to talk about the serious matters on hand. He looked at Aves now with a serious glint in his eyes as he spoke.
"A thunderstorm. By the country of Anemoly, the thirtieth thousand world under your domain."
Aves furrowed his brows as he tried to figure out what he was up to.
"The whole country? What for?"
Modor's eyes twitched as he tried to speak but couldn't. The Supreme G.o.d was once again reminding him of his boundaries.
"It's the will of the fates."
That was all that he could muster out. Then, he faced Fauna with a small smile as he apologized beforehand.
"And the death of a few horses plus a rabid wolf. I'd need the death of the horses to be caused by an attack by the rabid wolf. After that, leave everything to fate."
Fauna narrowed her eyes as the thought of her precious animals dying greatly displeased her. But knowing that it was her duty as King to follow Fate, she could only nod in agreement.
"Is that all?"
