"I had meeting here." Anna replied checking her phone for any damages, luckily she was holding her phone in hand so she could save it but there was light scratches on the screen.
"Come on we'll go to hospital you might be injured." Anna smiled at his concerned look.
"I'm fine, don't worry, now I shall get going." Bidding bye to Ji Qiang Anna left the driveway.
Ji Qiang was surprised to see her calm att.i.tude after being robbed. If it was some other women they would have probably caused a huge scene acting scared and all clingy for no reason. He understood now why his cold hearted big brother fell for Anna.
---
Anna reached Glory Manor, she was still fl.u.s.tered from the morning event.
Her cheeks heated up remembering his shameless act just to be with her. Unknowingly a smile crept up on her face.
Entering the house Anna was greeted with the aroma of delicious food. Anna immeadiately walked to the kitchen and was greeted with the sight of Ji Yang setting up the table for two.
As the aroma hit her nostrils her stomach growled in hunger. She didn't eat anything after the lunch as she busy with all the back to back meetings.
Anna felt embarra.s.sed when Ji Yang gave a teasing smile with raised eyebrows but there was something different with his look.
Not caring to freshen up after a long day Anna sat in her usual place to satisfy her growling stomach giving a 'don't judge me' look to Ji Yang.
Ji Yang shook his head and sat opposite to Anna. If it was other days he would have lectured her about hygiene but not today.
Anna began serving the food for both of them. As she held the chopsticks to pick the dumplings a sudden sting hit her palm. Anna quickly covered her pained expression and continued to pick the dumplings.
"Get up." Ji Yang's deep commanding voice stopped Anna's action.
Anna tilted her head in confusion blinking her eyes. Ji Yang took her to the living room and made her sit on the sofa.
Upon the coffee table rested a first aid kit, Anna didn't notice it when she entered the house.
"I was waiting to hear from you but you're too stubborn and hard headed." Ji Yang scolded her taking out the first aids.
Anna understood what he is referring to. Ji Qiang had already informed him the incident.
"Sorry." Anna asked in soft voice.
"It wasn't that big deal so I thought I could skip it..." Anna tried to justify herself. Ji Yang gave a pointed look shutting her up.
"Someone tried to harm you and as your husband shouldn't I know about it." Anna held her head low at his questioning gaze.
"Even the tiniest things about you matters to me." Ji Yang said very sincerely. Anna's heart warmed.
Folding her long sleeves Ji Yang examined her right hand. The temperature in the room dropped and his gaze became dark.
Her skin was grazed just below the palm, since it was not treated on time Anna's sensitive skin was red around the wounded area. Luckily there was no blood clot.
Ji Yang immeadiately picked his phone dialling a number.
Looking at the contact he dialled Anna quickly stopped him earning a dark glare.
Ji Yang was calling a family doctor when it was not at all necessary.
"It's just a small graze I'll be fine with a simple first aid." Anna tried to convincing him although she was s.h.i.+vering inside at his dark aura.
"Please." Anna begged him with her puppy eyes.
Ji Yang sighed and did the first aid very carefully.
"Remove your s.h.i.+rt." Ji Yang said simply.
"What?!" Anna's eyes widened in shock, she hugged her body backing away from Ji Yang.
"Let me check for any other injuries." Ji Yang replied in serious tone.
"No, I don't have other injuries just this graze I swear." Anna backed away fl.u.s.tered.
Silence consumed both as Ji Yang stared at her intently.
"How do you want to deal with that supposedly thief?" Ji Yang asked wrapping the first aid.
"You caught him?" Anna frowned. She didn't go through that just for her plan to be failed.
"Nope. He's under my radar. My wife must have had a plan to let him go." Ji Yang smirked. Anna smiled in return proud of his observation. She was impressed.
"I want him to reach his destination." Anna answered simply.
Ji Yang gave a look asking for elaboration.
"Well my supposedly step sister stole my project six months, it was incomplete. So I just thought why not give her the complete project." Anna explained without giving much details. Ji Yang gave a curious look.
"It won't be fun to take revenge on a incomplete product. Let her enjoy all the glory and fame now, later the impact will be much more higher." Anna smiled mischievously.
Ji Yang couldn't help but be amused by her. She's unique in every way.
----
It was midnight and Anna was sleeping peacefully.
Ji Yang got a call as a signal to open the front door.
Opening the door stood a middle aged man with a doctor kit in hand.
"Where's the patient?" The doctor asked anxiously as he got a call from Ji Yang stating it's an emergency.
Usually his senior doctor attends all the affairs of Ji family so he was quite nervous as it's hard to please Ji Yang.
Taking him to master bedroom Ji Yang showed his sleep beauty.
"Has she fainted?" The doctor asked quickly taking out his tools from the kit.
"No she's sleeping."Ji Yang stated simply.
Doctor:"...."
"Where is she hurt? Where's the wound?" The doctor asked examining Anna.
Ji Yang took Anna's hand carefully trying not to wake her up and showed her bandaged right hand revealing the graze.
Doctor:"..."
'Seriously! It's just a graze and you acted like she has serious injury.' The doctor grimaced inside.
But he didn't dare to voice out his thought. He was already warned not to tell about this to anyone.
Giving a professional dressing on her graze the doctor left.
