They Said My Status Stayed The Same Even Though I Reincarnated In Another World!? Chapter 90-91

Chapter 90: Fari's Doubts. Fari von D'azell . Previously Nanjou Yukiho, nicknamed Yuki by Kami.  Is currently 10 years of age. Ruby red long wavy hair and striking gold eyes not fitting her age. Also Fari uses, 私 aka female p.r.o.noun watas.h.i.+. Her Father is Gilbert Von D'azell. Master warrior. Quella von D'azell. Fari's older sister. Is 16, has silver hair and red eyes. 2 horns on her head, and two fangs in her mouth. She also uses the more masculine "Boku" refer to herself. Kami-sama, or also known as Kamille. Is a girl that looks 12 but is a G.o.d. Has silver hair and red eyes. Gave Fari, Exscolibur Rigurett Beuze Crausus or simply Rig: She is 14 Long blond silky hair, blue eyes. Uses 2 bayonet guns, and is really good at magic, four attribute magic. She actually speaks polite and proper, but that's hard to translate. Anne Cowlman: Half human half cat-girl. Has a normal human face with short brown hair but with cat ears and red cat like eyes, then has fur from the points of her hands, legs, and chest. Fur is striped with light brown on her brown fur, her tail has the same pattern. They are students of St. Valeria's Royal Hunter's Academy. Lilina is a magic's teacher. Also Girl X Girl can have babies. And zero "life" doesn't equal death, just fainting. Team name is Pure Ruby Translator: Mamuni ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We finished collecting any useful remaining parts from the dead Cyclops as we could. Along with the parts from the other monsters, we got a decent amount of supplies.

Some of the meats can be used as food, and some or the organs can be used in medicines.

So everything that was useful was extracted, and the rest was incinerated with magic and buried into the ground.

The dirt cavern they created was pretty useful for burying them in.

My storage was packed with various monster parts, animals stuff and raw materials. 

The sun was setting once everything was packed and ready.

So we decided that we should set up a camp first.

We prepared a tent, roasted some of our game we caught before, and decided to eat together.

It was a simple dish. The meat was roasted with no seasoning, but it was still good.

We had a fun meal. We shared stories, talked about some random things, and what we think we could get for all of these monster parts

We also walked a lot today. So that made the meat and our rest extra satisfying.

Once our meal was over, it was time to go to bed.

However, we can't all go to bed at the same time.

We are in a dangerous forest were monster are likely all around us. There is a possibility that some of the monsters will detect us. And if that's the case, we'll be sitting ducks if we are all asleep.

So therefore somebody needs to keep watch as the rest of us sleep.

We decided to alternate in order to disperse the workload. How long is based on how long our campfire burns. Once it gets closed to extinguis.h.i.+ng, their s.h.i.+ft is over. Then the next person's s.h.i.+ft starts with them rekindling it.

First will be Onee-sama, then Anne-chan, me and finally Rig.

With that being said I finally went to bed until it was my turn.

"Alright, Nyah, thank you."

Anne-chan said that to me as I left the tent to swap with her.

To start off I'll rekindle the bonfire. The fire is useful to see what's around us. However for me I don't really need to worry about it. Because I have super search.
So I'm not too anxious about the monsters. . .

. . . I'm worried about something else.

It's about my power.

My full strength is insane.

Today those three Cyclops were killed in an instant.

Rather than it just being strong. . .It was aggressive. Destructive. Terrifying.

And if I used super search I could've killed everyone around me easily.

It was scary. That's why I decided I don't want to rely on my crazy high magical power.

I'm going to keep the seal on. 

I won't take advantage of that outrageous power. Not because of pride, but because I'm scared. 

Then there is super search. This might be selfish, but It's far more convenient to fight based on my own ingenuity and skill, rather than an OP ability.

Other wise I can't take full advantage developing my magical prowess. I won't become a skilled fighter if I just rely on a single skill.

So I won't rely on these dangerously powerful gifts.

But, maybe it might be good to rely on those powers.

Because when all of those Cyclops corned us I felt like Rig, Onee-sama and Anne-chan were truly in danger. So of course I wanted to defeat them by any means necessary.

I don't want any of my friends to get hurt.

So to make sure that doesn't happen . . . I should use super search. Because it's useful for everyone and my power as well.

. . .But that power was dangerous. It was so effortless, like I could accidentally destroy something I didn't mean to. It was hard to control, like if I angled it wrong or been less cautious it would fly off and hit something. 

I'm having flash back to my Papa. With how easy and sudden it came, and how close I came to losing somebody because of it.

And if I use super search all the time I won't get better!

I really am terrible. Just because of my own fears and my selfish desire to test myself.

". . .Hahh. . ."

Geeze, maybe it's just my bad luck. I've always been an inconvenience to people.

Perhaps it might be better to go off alone.

That way I could do my best without needing to use the power and skills. 

And I don't need to worry about them getting hurt if my seal does break. It is hard to control, I'm scared if it goes haywire.

But I like everyone.

I don't want to leave the team.

. . .I don't know what to do.

"- – -Fari."

I jumped up a little in surprise.

I looked behind me towards the voice that suddenly called for me.

". . .Rig?"

It was Rig. She seemed to have woken up and left the tent.

Chapter 91: Together.

Rig slowly approached me from behind.

"What's wrong Rig?"

"That's my line."

She then hugged me from my behind.

It's warm.

Yeah. . .I don't know if I could be alone anymore.

"Fari. You've been out of it ever since you fought those Cyclops. What's wrong?"

Ohh, Rig figured it out.

I thought I kept it hidden.

I want to be honest with Rig. We made a promise not to keep secrets.

". . .I feel like I may be a nuisance."

"Huh, Why is that?"

"I always try to go easy on people. I try not to use the power given to me by Kami as much as possible so I seal it. But I feel like I'm walking on eggsh.e.l.ls. Like if I give too much force, something may break. Also bad events just follow me, I'm unlucky. I just feel like I could be a nuisance to the team."

After I said that Rig brushed my head.

"You aren't a nuisance. In fact you saved up."

"If I had used super search, I could've spotted the 3 Orcs behind us. Allowing us to have a safer retreat. So then we would have never been at risk."

Everybody- – -shouldn't have been exposed to those Cyclops.

My heart is having that hazy feeling again.

Then I felt something near my ear.

"- – -Mobu."

"Hyaa!?!"

It bit my ear!? Wait, Rig just bit my ear?!

It was sudden. I have no idea what is happening!?

"W-Wait, Rig. Stop!?. . ."

She bit harder.

It's painful but much more embarra.s.sing. I'm starting to squirm.

"G-Geeze Rig!? Isn't it enough yet? It hurts. Hya!?. . ."

After a little while, Rig finally released my now reddened ear.

"- – -I wonder if that's enough of a punishment?"

"UUuu. . .What do you mean?"

"It's penance for thinking about bad things."

After saying that she tightly hugged me.

". . .Don't say stupid things like that, Fari. Yes, you are strong. But n.o.body is going to put the responsibility on you to use it or taken care of us."

. . .Oh, it makes sense now.

I was feeling like it was my responsibility to protect everybody. 

That's why I was making excuses not to use my powers. Because I don't want that responsibility.  To be everybody's protector. I was just trying to run away from it.

"Hey Fari. I like you."

"Huh!?"

That completely took me off guard.

However Rig continued talking.

"I like Fari a lot. I like the Fari who goes easy on people. I like the Fari who is kind to people. I also like the Fari is an idiot. Fari is important to me."

When you say it like that, I can't help but blush.

"So you don't have to worry about it. I won't complain or get mad no matter what you choose. Because it's your power. You choose what you want to do with it."

"Rig. . ."

I could feel tears flowing down my cheeks.

Oh, I see.

I was worried over nothing.

"I- – -I love you too! I love Onee-chan, I love Anne-chan! I love everyone!"

"Yes, we know."

"So. . .I want to be the best I can. I want to be with everyone."

"That's right. We are a team. We will always be one. So don't blame yourself for everything. So just be comfortable. Because we are a team, Fari. A team doesn't equal just you. So please trust in us as well. We will all do our best together."

She said that in a kind voice and stroked my head.

Thanks to Rig I can feel my heart warming up.

It feels like something heavy has been lifted off my shoulders.

Rig really is my best friend.

She healed my heart so easily.

Having her is much more amazing than having my magic.

Rig and I hung out for awhile.

We continued past both of our patrols while watching the bonfire and with Rig hugging me.

I feel like I'm getting really attached to her.

I feel so warm when I'm with her.

I don't want to leave this feeling of security.

I really wish we could stay together forever.

h.e.l.lo. Sorry for the delay on such a short chapter bunch. I got busy and had a birthday. More so with these 2 chapters, this ends volume 2, also pa.s.sing 90 chapters. Yeah, I forgot to mention these are supposedly categorized in volumes. So it felt off to attach some other not really related chapters.

For transparency sake, these chapters (More so CH:90) Were edited by me. It was edited in the sake to flesh out what the author is saying and trying to clean up the chapter. I really felt like the author didn't know what Fari was doubting about,and just wanted some kind of internal conflict. The parts were there, but they didn't flesh it out, or clarify it. So I did add some paragraphs and changed the order of how this chapter was presented. All of the edits were made using what the author already stated in the past or in the chapter, and I was just adding to flesh it out. Or were just added to put some more flavor into the text. This also allowed me just to fix up the flow and fit it in more with how English paragraphs are written like.

A simple example of adding flavor would be:

Original: We had an enjoyable meal. 

Edit: We had a fun meal. We shared stories, talked about some random things, and what we think we could get for all of these monster parts. 

This isn't the first time I've done this with a novel or even with this novel. But I never done so much adding like I did for that chapter.

It also just makes translating more fun for me.
