When Fayre woke up she immediately thought of her child. She was currently in no pain, but she clearly remembered being stabbed. Which could not be good for the small life growing in her. She sat up, starting to panic.

Feeling a gentle hand push her back down, she glanced up at her husband, "The child?"

"It's fine, just rest, love," Jayesh had a worried expression on his face. But there was no sorrow of losing his child, so she relaxed.

She stroked her stomach, looking down wis.h.i.+ng she could see the b.u.mp of the child. While her husband had just a.s.sured her that it was fine, and she knew he would never lie to her, she still wanted to be able to check. "How long have I been out? I don't feel any pain?"

"A few hours, Dev healed you," He paused, "We actually almost did lose our child..." His voice broke a little, and she saw the way it looked as if he had suffered a great scare.

"But we didn't right?" She patted his arm in a comforting manner, "I'm safe, our child is safe, so no point crying over what might have happened, right?"

Jayesh took a steadying breath as he sat beside her on the bed, he timidly reached out and stroked her hair, "I've never been so scared in my entire life....I am just so glad that both of you are safe."

She pulled his arm so that he was laying down beside of her and laid her head on his chest. As long as her child was safe she felt no need to be upset.

"I should probably let our best friends know that you woke up, they were rather worried about you as well."

She smiled at him, "Yes, you should."

Her husband called one of the people lingering outside in case he needed any help and told him to go let the two know that Fayre had woken up.

Fayre looked at her husband, letting her eyes roam over his tired face. He had such tenderness on his face as he looked back at her, and she knew he would have been devastated had she actually died. She stroked his arm, trying to rea.s.sure him that everything was okay.

There was a knock on their door "Can we see her?" It was Zylvia, she sounded like she had been crying.

Jayesh immediately said that they could, much to Fayre's relief. Zylvia, she knew, would not feel better till she had made sure that her best friend was safe and sound.

She watched as her best friend and her husband came into the room. Kaldrek, she noticed, had an arm wrapped around his wife's shoulders. A smile came to her face upon noticing this. Seemed like he was trying to give his wife comfort through his physical presence.

"How are you feeling?" Zylvia's voice was quiet, and the look on her face resembled Jayesh's a lot.

"Well, I am not in any pain, my child is okay, so I would say I ma doing pretty good," She laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

For the most part it worked. Zylvia cracked a small smile, Jayesh looked relieved, and Kaldrek nodded, he had probably expected as much due to his understanding of what the healing magic would have done.

"How about mentally?" Kaldrek removed his arm from his wife's shoulders as he asked this.

"I would say alright," Fayre let out a soft chuckle, "I probably won't want to be alone for a while, but other than that."

"Of course, that is fairly minor considering what happened." Kaldrek smiled, "It's good if you don't have any major trauma though."

Jayesh wrapped an arm around her shoulders, "Oh, darling, I'll make sure you won't have to ever be alone."

Zylvia walked over and took her hand, "I'm glad you are okay." She seemed to be able to say much more than that.

Looking at all of them, Fayre could not help but feel loved. These three...they all obviously cared about her deeply, though in different ways. It was hard not to feel lucky having three friends who would protect her in any way they could from harm.
