Xueyan closed her tired eyes. She just got off the phone with Qingran. She yawned and stretched she felt extra tired today even without doing much. Mei Han had already dozed off on a chair nearby. And Yuxi had left with Qiangshen, as he had said it was too dangerous for a woman to be out. Not that she was even alone, Xueyan smiled. Are the Xings brothers that caring or just a facade?

The phone in her palm started vibrating, she looked and saw who it was. Then her eyes darted to the time. Thirteen minutes past nine. She tapped Mei Han to wake up and enter the tent.

After that she picked the called and yawned again.

"Is that the sign of hunger?" She could hear the worry in his question.

Actually she didn't eat anything that was served this night because she was overfed by Mei Han and Yuxi in the afternoon and as the sun went down.

So she wasn't really hungry so to say. "No it's not."

"Come out,"

"What‽" Gooseb.u.mps enveloped her. What does he mean by come out? She hoped and prayed he wasn't really at the shooting area.

"Come out, I brought some food for you. I don't want you loosing weight in the name of modelling or being an actress."

"I'm not hungry,"

"I can't take it back."

"The main gate,"

"... You're joking right?"

"No, come out now before the food gets cold. Or should I come over to you?"

"No, no, no. Just stay where you are." She quickly got up, went into the tent to look for a shawl. She wrapped herself in it and headed towards the exit.

The director area was still lit up, she heard small laughs coming from the two men.

As she continued on her way out she didn't notice two black figure follow her.

He was resting on his car, his hands folded in front of him and was looking down at his leg. She couldn't see his features clearly because it was dark out here.

As if he felt her eyes on him, he raised his head, straightened and now stood facing her. When she got closer, she saw that a deep frown of his face.

"What is wrong?" She asked.

"Is this how you sleep out here?"

She had changed from her earlier clothing into a much loose dress. It was long sleeved but it was still able to help s.h.i.+eld her from the cold. And, she also had a shawl wrapped around her.

"Am I not covered enough?"

"No!" Without hesitation he took off his outer coat to drape it over her shoulder.

"No," she rejected. "I haven't even had the chance to return the jacket from the other day."

He smiled. "Even if I give you ten more, it won't shake me up." He smiled at his work, he had successfully removed the shawl, wore her the coat and put the shawl around her neck. While she just stood there watching him. "You should always be covered from the night weather," he looked down at her leg, she was wearing sandals. "What is really your problem? Can't you take care of yourself?"

She frowned. "I have been taking care of myself all my life, what do you mean?"

"Not enough! Put more effort into it!" His eyes scanned her. "Or the clothes weren't enough?"

"Yes, I don't want you to. It's not enough for two people."

She could only sigh and unwrapped the food. There was steamed buns with custard and egg yolk filling, chicken feet and a rice noodle roll.

While munching on the steamed buns she heard herself moan and turned to check if Zhaolin had heard it too.

"You like it that much?"

Her head bobbed twice, it tasted so delicious. He uncapped a bottle water and pa.s.sed it to her.

She thanked him and accepted it.

When she was done eating, she belched loudly.

"You should stop lying to look sleek!"

Her eyes popped out. "What do you mean by that?"

"You finished everything even after claiming you weren't hungry."

Worst part isn't that she didn't even feel any form of shame. "It's because it was delicious."

"You forgot to add that it was mostly your hungry growling stomach wanted to eat so much."

Xueyan sighed. "Whatever,"

"Sure,"

Now she didn't like this there sudden closeness, and she really beginning to relax with him by her side. "I'm going back," she belched for the second time. "Thank you for the food."

He didn't say anything, just got down, went over to pull her door open. It was after coming out that she realized he was too close. Their face was only two inches away. She looked away as she couldn't look him straight in the eyes without her heart palpitating.

"Come, I'll escort you a little." His soothing voice came as a surprise to her. She put her palm in his and let him lead her.

This was wrong! Going out with a married man, but he had said he wasn't married. He still hadn't explained to her what he meant, and there was a part in her praying and wis.h.i.+ng it was true.

When he saw there were no longer far from the shooting place he turned to face her. "I'll get them to send you more clothes, thicker ones this time. The gown you wore last time was too short,"

She chuckled. "No it wasn't."

"Okay, but I will select them myself."

"You don't have to, I made some money already. I will buy thicker clothes as you wish."

"No. That's just a penny you made. And you had spent out of it already..." He searched his pocket but couldn't find what he was looking for. "I must have left it in the car, stay right here. I'll be back."

Before she could stop him he was already gone, she stood there patiently waiting for. Then there was a rustling from behind her. She turned and the noise stilled. She didn't see anyone as it was totally dark.

Zhaolin returned a minute later, he wasn't even panting upon rus.h.i.+ng away in such speed. "Here," he pa.s.sed her something like card. She couldn't see what it was and took her phone out so she would see clearly. But he quickly covered her palmed. "Look at it when I'm not around." The fear of her rejecting it had overwhelmed him.

She nodded.

He kissed on her the cheek and urged her to go forward, he would stay behind and watch.

Once she was out of sight and he felt like she was safe enough, he turned, heading back to his car. He got in and revved away.

Just at the moment he got in, his phone lit up. It was a message, a smile crept up on his face thinking it was from Xueyan.

"Where were you?" Mei Han rubbed her eyes.

"I went to go fresh air."

"And where's the coat from?"

When she heard the soft snore coming from Mei Han she sighed.
