Xiaocan who couldn't believe it shook her head nonstop as she walked slowly towards Feng Jiu.

"Feng...Feng Jiu?" A tear trailed down her face. "I can't believe this...No way... Where have you been child? Ah'Rong said he couldn't find you... My child... You are safe." Jiu watched as Mrs Xing II shake uncontrollably due to tears and tears streamed down her own face.

Madam Xiaocan didn't give birth to her but has remained her mother ever since her parents pa.s.sed away. Her parents died twenty years ago, back then she and Riu was only seven years old. Rongbo and her parents were close friends. They were childhood friends and grew up together. Her father ended up marrying her mother which was their female best Friend.

They had a fatal road accident in which none of them survived. They were coming back after the inauguration ceremony to celebrate with she and her brother but before they could get home... It was something better off not remembered than remembering with anguish.

She lifted her trembling hand to wipe her mother's tears as she tried to control hers.

Grandpa Xing watched this scene from his home office door and felt nothing but happiness. His daughter in-law was so worried when Feng Jiu left without saying goodbye. And now the la.s.s was back and he knew for sure his daughter's happiness has augmented.

Rongbo heard the series of cry and came out from his bedroom. He looked down and there Feng Jiu was holding onto his wife tightly and not letting go. He was going to get a scolding for sure.

Grandma Xing came out of her bedroom long ago when the doorbell rang and had been watching these two from the shadows.

"I'm sorry... Sorry... Sorry..." Jiu muttered in-between sobs. "I'm really sorry... Please forgive this prodigal daughter... Please..."

"It's ok child... There's no need crying over spilled milk..." Xiaocan paused to take a proper breath. "You are back and that is all that matters." Then she turned to the head maid, "Go call sir and prepare something to eat."

"Mother... How have you and my grandparents been? I'm sorry for leaving...I really can't stop apologizing... I'm really sorry."

"You don't have to be child... Yes I was worried, you were in another man's land...A foreign land, but seeing you here now fine and OK is better than anything else and I have been great."

Jiu felt immense sorrow. That day twenty years ago, she claimed to be the strongest Feng blood... Her brother had cried nonstop back then, she took it upon herself to console him. 'Stop crying already... Our parents won't come back no matter how much you cry so just be quiet.' She scolded Riu and made him cry more.

'We need to get ready for the cremation... Why are you crying so much? You always bragged to father that you were a strong boy and would protect your little sister, now I'm the one trying to console you but instead of you to stop you continue crying like a little child. You aren't a lion cub but sheep kid... I'm thick skinned more than you are...' She remembered crying in her bedroom tons of times, she would cry and cry then go wash up and eat her favourite snacks to look good in the morning or else Riu would mock her. Uncle Rongbo had been by their side all this while. He was by their side during the cremation.

It was when their Feng home was up for auction that Xiaocan appeared like an angel with little Zhaolin by her side, promising her that nothing would happen to her or her brother talk more of their home, it was the last thing they had of their parents. She promised them that the home would be theirs forever and she fulfilled the promise.

'Hey big bunny... Why are you being so mean? Look the male bunny is crying so much.' Zhaolin had said to her back then, when she kept on scolding Riu for being a weakling and all the tears she had been hiding away from Riu came flooding out of the hidden cave. She cried uncontrollably as Zhaolin smiled at her and told her to continue for it was good for the body...(Children can be fun=_=) she felt stupid at first but then after crying for so long she felt better. 'Take this lollipop, it's sweet and my mother makes them.' Zhaolin offered her a lollipop.

Riu hugged her and they both cried to their heart extent.

Back to the present. Xiaocan took her to sit and told the maid to go get a cup of Lu'an Guapian as that was her favourite tea and some snacks. Ma'am Xiaocan was the mother they lost. Grandma Xing emerged from the shadows as she beamed at Jiu. "Child..." She hugged Jiu.

"Grandma you don't want to grow old, do you? You can still work well poised." Jiu put her down on the couch and teased.

Rongbo climbed down the stairs and sat beside his mother Incase if he were to be scolded tonight, his mother will defend him.

"Look she's finally back..." Xiaocan said with a hoa.r.s.e voice. Her throat felt dry.

"Jiu." Rongbo didn't look surprised and Xiaocan eyes widened slightly, she felt something was wrong.

"Ah'Rong..."

"Hmm?" Rongbo didn't dare look at her.

"You disappeared all these years and just returned...You left without a goodbye. I thought we committed a crime we didn't know about." Grandpa Xing voice rang out from the other side of the room.

Everyone turned to him as Jiu stood up to say her greetings. "Grandpa..." She bowed to him.

He folded his hand to his back and looked down oh his son, he raised an eyebrow.

Rongbo tried to pretend he didn't see his father's raised eyebrow.

"Where did you leave me for? How can you be able to stay away from your mother for years? You have been away for so long, now it's time we catch up on the old times." Xiaocan said.

"Mother I've been good. Besides father had a tail on me."

"O" Xiaocan mouth formed to an O before her face changed to the one of shock and then sadness T_T

Feng Jiu felt the temperature drop and looked back and forth between her mother and father and discovered something wasn't right.

"He... he... Ah'Rong had a tail on you..." She said it more like a statement instead of question.

He had told her, he lost the track he had on her but she knew better. Even if he had lost his track on her, she knew her son had a tail on Jiu but decided to let her live the life she desired. So she didn't probe any further and just dropped it.
