THE CEO's LOVE 92 A

Xueyan sat with s.h.i.+huan in the living room. Their eyes glued to the TV. Qingran came out of the bedroom with her books.

"Mom," Qingran called. "My teacher said you should help me."

Xueyan looked at Qingran, she hasn't told her about Xiujun. "Little Xue, come over."

Qingran jogged over with a light smile on her little face. The name "little Xue" excited her.

"Guess who I met the other day..."

Qingran mouth twisted. "Who is it?"

"Du... Xiujun."

"Hahaha," Qingran laughed out. "I don't believe you." Qingran was still smiling. Her face said Xueyan was lying. "How you met him?"

"At the hotel," Xueyan answered sincerely.

Qingran raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yes. I collided into him with my housekeeping truck."

"Ooooh!" Qingran gasped. "Did he get a scratch? Hope it wasn't much? By the way, what were you looking at?"

"And me? You didn't ask if I got injured."

Qingran pressed her lips into a thin line. "Well you didn't. Now how you met Xiujun? Oh you said you collided into him. Did he get any scratch?"

Xueyan frowned. "I broke his wrist."

"What!?"

s.h.i.+huan watched the two and couldn't help but laugh. Seeing them talk about Xiujun so casually like he was a family member brought smiles to his face. Xueyan had told him about it and about the three doc.u.ments. He wondered if good things were so easy to find and he hasn't found any by himself.

Their game had now been cancelled by the national team and until the next year before they can get a chance to compete and qualify if they didn't miss any score.

"Alright, alright. You should enquire about your mom first. Xiujun will surely be able to take care of himself." s.h.i.+huan said. Xueyan nodded.

"No uncle," Qingran waved her hand. "Xiujun is so lonely that his only friend only cares about his endors.e.m.e.nts, dramas and shows. He doesn't ask him how he feels. He Jingtang is supposed to be a friend to lean on but now he's his manager and sees nothing else than all I mentioned earlier."

s.h.i.+huan had no word to refute. He doesn't know Xiujun nor even Jingtang that Qingran talked about.

A knock at the door had all eyes turned to it. s.h.i.+huan walked up to the door and pulled it. Yuxi strode in, a little worry written on her beautiful face.

"Good evening." She greeted.

"h.e.l.lo aunty, did you have a great day?" Qingran sprinted forward. Her smile very bright.

Yuxi sighed. "Ah ha?" It was written all over the little girl face that she had something to either request or demand.

"You work at All Stars Media, have you met Xiujun yet?"

Yuxi pretended to think. "No. Not until your mother smashed into him and broke his wrist."

Qingran's mouth formed an O. "Its really true. What happened then?"

"The management is about to sue your dearest mom."

Qingran eyes bulged, she drew in a breath. What is going to happen to my mommy? "Why?"

"Isn't it obvious?"

"No,"

s.h.i.+huan almost laughed out. Qingran expression said she was scared out of her senses.

"They will sue your mommy for damage of property. Xiujun is a property owned by All Stars. Your mother will be fined of a lot of money that serving him for a lifetime wouldn't be enough." Yuxi said with all seriousness.

Qingran stared at her mother. "No. No. No. Xiujun isn't so heartless."

"I agree! Xiujun isn't. But you can't say the same for his management."

She traipsed back to Xueyan. "Mom? Please don't ever leave Qingran... Please," her plea made Xueyan's heart hurt.

"Never!" Xueyan promised.

Fifty minutes later, they had all had dinner and Qingran was already asleep.

"A dinner with Qiangshen's parents," Yuxi said.

Xueyan was taken by surprise.

"What for?" Xueyan asked.

Yuxi heaved a sigh. Then her mouth twisted. "Till I meet them."

The black FW2100 came to a roundabout with a fountain at the center, swept around it, and continued up toward a fantastic sprawling house.

The car finally stopped in front of a very lit up mansion. Inside the expensive car was a very well suited Qiangshen. His suit jacket was designed with sequence, making it s.h.i.+ne with every turn he made.

He climbed down, walked round and pulled the door open for Yuxi. The beautiful young lady was adorned in an ankle length gown. The gown was of a tube cut with lace as the outer layer and line shape. Floral patterns from the high neck gown cascaded down to the waist line. A necklace and love pendant hung from her neck to her chest.

Yuxi's curly hair fell to her back, lately she hadn't gone for tr.i.m.m.i.n.g so some were longer. She wore a gla.s.s slide-in heel.

A little touch of make up to highlight her features.

With her heel, Qiangshen wasn't so tall anymore.

He formed a greater than sign with his elbow and she slid her hand in.

The guards at the doorpost bowed. The butler rushed forward when he saw the young master and the beautiful young lady and bowed.

"Welcome Young Master,"

Qiangshen nodded. And was escorted in by the butler. They pa.s.sed the hallway and into a sitting room. It was big and beautiful. Decorated with gold paints. Paintings hung on the wall. The expensive couch was soft more like fluffy.

Qiangshen gave her a slight nod and she sat down. The butler sprinted away to go inform the madam of their arrival. Qiangshen strode to the water dispenser and got a warm water for Yuxi. There was a tray on the dispenser and he used it to serve her. She didn't drink immediately and muttered a thank you.

Two minutes later, a woman in her early forties appeared, she was very tall unlike the normal Chinese woman. She had long black hair that swayed with every step she took. She was so richly dressed that her clothes screamed wealth.

There was no single smile on her stoic face.

Yuxi stood up, gave a slight bow and raised her head to see a familiar face approaching from behind with a big smile plastered on her face.

Grandma Xing.

"Oh darling, you look gorgeous." Grandma Xing declared. She came forward and wrapped Yuxi in a warm hug.

The other woman scowled. "What is your name?" There was no single niceness in her tone.

Qiangshen sighed, he expected nothing more. "Mom,"

With a very unique smile she turned to Qiangshen. "Shenshen, you finally decide to visit us. How are you fairing?" She pecked his cheek.

He frowned in return. 'Why is she pretending to be so nice? She never even called to check up on him and bet she hasn't contacted Jing s.h.i.+.'

Grandma Xing watched the tensed Yuxi and tilted to whisper in her ear. "Just be you. Don't wear on any character. She's just pretending to be harsh."

Yuxi looked up at the ceiling but instead was met by the big chandelier with golden light.

"I'm great." Qiangshen's answer reminded the woman that she had thrown a question to Yuxi.

She opened her mouth but Yuxi beat her to it.

"Bai Yuxi," she bowed again.

She eyed Yuxi as she pressed her lips together. "Mother, where did you find her?"

Grandma Xing was forced to glare at her daughter In-law. "Tingting!"

Tingting rolled her eyes. She hated the fact that her mother In-law was always trying to pair the grandchildren up. She didn't have a problem until she told her that Qiangshen was old enough to be married. He was barely 24 and was still blooming. She didn't want her son to be in a forced relations.h.i.+p like Zhaolin and s.h.i.+ya.

"How old are you? Tell me the name of your parents. Where were you born? The name of your high school. Did you graduate within the country or overseas?"

The series of question made Qiangshen and Grandma Xing frown.

"Ting..."

"Can't I ask that much? You are forcing her on my son. I need to know more about her." Tingting defended when Grandma Xing tried to stop her.

"Welcome her first," Grandma Xing said.

"There's a couch behind her, she isn't blind, is she?" Tingting enquired with a smirk.

Grandma Xing pressed Yuxi down to the couch. "You have to be strong to deal with her." She said out loud and it made Tingting frown.

Qiangshen's lips curved.

"Where's he?" Grandma Xing wondered.

Qiangshen pushed his hands into his pants pockets and strode out of the sitting room.

Tingting stood there staring daggers at her mother In-law. 'She should have gone overseas...' She wondered what her husband was up to. 'He had promised to send her oveaseas.'

The butler came out with a tray filled with different juice pack. Grandma Xing uncapped one and poured for Yuxi. "Drink," she offered it to Yuxi.

"How many things do you know about Qiangshen?" Tingting asked and came to sit close to Yuxi.

'More than you,' was at the tip of Grandma Xing tongue with a little poke and it will come rolling out.

"I'm 22 ma. My father, Mr Bai Junjie has a small business he runs in Beijing. My mother w.a.n.g Zhangjing is a designer but is currently in Shanghai. I was born here in Shanghai and attended Scholar high. Graduated within the country at a private Science and Technology university." Yuxi glanced at the woman. "Qiangshen's favourites..." She trailed off when she heard sound of footsteps approaching and the woman stood up with the same unique smile she had when Qiangshen called her, she turned to the source.

It was him. Xing Jingze. He was same height as Qiangshen, well she didn't expect that. He was in a grey suit. When he got close Yuxi saw the striking resemblance Qiangshen shared with him. He was handsome that no one needed to tell you he was quite a stunner in his young years.

The light smile on his face concealed a lot. Yuxi had stood up when Tingting did and gave a deep bow.
