Chapter 25 – Killing The Chicken To Warn The Monkey

“Uncle don't have to worry about it since Tao Di Restaurant's business is not doing good.” Yun Ling Xuan said sarcastically. She was thinking in her heart that they must be regretting now. They tried to steal a chicken only to end up losing the rice used to lure it. (T/N: The actual Chinese words are 偷鸡不成蚀把米 which means to try and gain an advantage only to end up worse off.) But all these, she would not care about it. She would be even happier if they went to bang the wall in agony. “Do all of you feel the same way as Shopkeeper Yuan, that the business is declining?”

Everyone looked at the young girl who was standing in front of the owner's seat. They were thinking that she was not having any stage fright, and she had a domineering little face. They finally realized that the children raised by the mistress was not to belittle.

Like their children and grandchildren, at this age, they would only cry and behaved like a spoiled brat. They would not have such courage to do so. They had long regretted coming here and create such a mess for themselves.
