The System Of A Vampire Chapter 88: Skyfall: A Feratu Awakens

Draig's ravenous eyes seemed to gain clarity for but a moment before he started scratching at his skin, his eyes shot wide open with a madness carried by only one other.

His heart beat thunderously in his chest and he began squirm on the ground tearing the flesh from his own bones as he clawed at himself, though an obvious difference could be seen as the previously red life essence had turned into murky substance darker than oil. However the Founder also took notice of a familiar Dark presence he knew even better than Draig's causing him to sneer.

'My sniveling brat is there too, he better not have played a hand in this' thought the Founder as his dark side began to show.

There was no room for affection nor familial ties when training someone and as such the Founder had treated Draig horribly and even tortured the youth in order to bring the most out of him and help him achieve his potential but still their was the fact he was proud of his young Heir and prided himself on having such a person as his descendant despite his obvious lack of Feratu parentage.

Meanwhile back in the Forest Draig's skin had become tinged black and shocking mutations began to appear as his snout elongated like that of the Werewolf while two bones extended from his back attempting to form wings but even more odd was the Horns that had begun to sprout form his and the whip like tail shooting from his back side.

A constant wriggling underneath his skin showed that his body wished to change but as it grew and shrunk abnormally while constantly growing and losing hair it seemed it didn't know what to transform into. Draig's demonic wailing rang out through the forest drawing the attention of the humans and demons alike.

'A master has returned' was the unanimous thought among the demons while the Awakened huddled together in fear of encountering a beast that could carry that kind of power just with its voice alone.

Dracule also heard the scream and recognized the signature of the Dark energy though, it was very different from what he knew.

"The Master calls us" came the voices of the Lanterns as they abandoned Dracule in favor of going to see their Master.

Not far from the location Kira and his pack also began running to the source.
