Sitting down on a couch after getting out of the bath, Dax realized just how much fun he had had in just a single afternoon with Solaris, Alice and Lilly. Having made and eaten dinner with the girls they had spent the time talking until the sun started setting, then Dax had taken a quick shower before handing the large bath over to the girls.
(Man, I really don't wanna die doing this upcoming operation…)
Just thinking about all the fun he could have with everyone, Dax grew a tiny bit afraid of dying for the first time in his long life, something which was quite unusual for a qiton. Having spent most of his life doing black operations or fighting on high intensity battlefields Dax had looked the grim reaper in the eyes more times that he wanted to count, each and every one of those times he had done what he could, but sometimes it came down to simple chance, either he would live, or he would die then and there, without even realizing it. The most recent of those occasions was when he faced the shadows of the Emperor when his mana controlling implant failed it was truly only fate which decided if Dax lived or died. While that was just par for the course with his occupation, Dax now found himself a bit more reluctant to die, it would seem that he had really done something impossible for a qiton, he had well and truly fallen in love. While more rational parts of his brain wanted to deny such an absurd notion altogether, Dax felt surprisingly calm about it.
Until he was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of some footsteps coming from the bath that is.
"Did you enjoy the bath?"
"Yeah, I did, thanks."
For some reason the first one out of the bath was Alice, it seemed like she had chosen to only wear a large dress s.h.i.+rt and underwear, her white hair with a few streaks of its original chestnut brown colour was still damp, so it stuck to her body just like the dress s.h.i.+rt which made the outline of her body even more enticing.
"Um, I-it's embarra.s.sing if you stare that much…"
(Then put on some more clothes!)
Barely able to keep his inner thoughts from spilling out Dax awkwardly broke eye contact as he rushed to change the subject.
"S-so what's up? Are the others still enjoying their bath?"
"Y-yeah, because we came to an agreement."
As her face heated up a considerable amount just from squeezing out that single sentence, Alice hurriedly broke eye contact with Dax as she started fidgeting over something. With nothing being said between the two for what seemed like forever, Dax suddenly found it interesting to read the back of a label of a bottle which stood on the coffee table in front of him and after some more time had pa.s.sed Alice seemed to have made up her mind as she slowly walked over and sat down way too close to Dax.
Smelling the sweet scent of soap Dax did his best to restrain himself, even as dense as he was he had an idea of what was going on.
"S-so, what kind of agreement did you all come to? D-does it has something to do with me?"
Stammering like a prep.u.b.escent teen Dax suppressed the urge to dig himself into the ground and die as he looked straight ahead with a straightened back, refusing to look towards Alice as he felt his face heat up greatly.
"Y-yeah it does… C-could you look this way, please?"
"I'd rather not…. But that would be rude to say in this kind of situation wouldn't it?"
"Yeah it would, you really are terrible."
Succeeding in cracking a small joke Dax felt like he had slightly lowered the tension between the two of them as Alice chuckled. Overcoming nerves he had never felt before Dax turned towards Alice which had sat herself down on her knees, looking straight at Dax's face with a tense expression plastered all over her face.
"... Y-you see… Solaris, Lilly and I decided on our t-turns…"
Without making much sense to Dax Alice herself seemed satisfied with her explanation of their 'agreement' as she broke eye contact and her cheeks flushed all the way to her ears.
"Turns? Could you explain further?"
Suddenly Dax started feeling like his embarra.s.sment didn't matter anymore, drawing a bit closer to Alice, Dax somehow managed to maintain calm under the pressure he felt he was being trapped under.
"I-it's r-really nothing t-to elaborate on…"
Still not wanting to make eye contact Alice prayed that Dax would get the hint already, while being forced to explain she felt like her insides were burning up as her heart seemed like it suddenly had gotten a mind of its own and wanted to jump out of her chest.
('There comes a point where men need to be men and do what needs to be done'... Well, if this isn't the time then I'm beating the s.h.i.+t out of you next time I see you mom.)
Remembering some random advice from his mom which suddenly made a lot of sense Dax reached out to Alice before carefully brus.h.i.+ng aside her hair as he moved in for the 'kill'. Shearing a tender kiss for what felt like an instant Alice suddenly felt out of breath a separated from Dax, looking at him with teary eyes she kissed him again before the embarra.s.sment became too much to bear.
Getting up on her feet with slightly unsteady feet Alice scurried to the door which led to the bedroom, turning her head halfway back to Dax.
"... Treat the two others with that amount of care too, it was nice."
Having maxed out her embarra.s.sment Alice hurriedly ran off to the bedroom.
"... What the f.u.c.k was that just now?"
Looking down on his hands Dax clenched his left hand a few times, then he made a fist and punched himself in the face, confirming that what just had happened wasn't a dream or some sort of illusion from the pain and dizziness which spread throughout his face.
Hearing a sound from the bathroom Dax froze in place as his mind focused on what Alice had told him.
(Wait, decided on our turns'?... Don't tell me!?)
Looking at the figure who had just entered the room Dax felt like punching himself in the face once more, but instead, he settled with stealthily pinching his arm.
"G-good evening Solaris."
"... Evening."
Wearing a white nightgown with pink linings that failed to hide things it really needed to hide, greatly contrasted with her slightly red skin, pure white wings and flushed cheeks, her blonde hair stilled looked like a sea of sunlight and the tense expression and slightly fluttering wings made Dax suffer critical damage just from looking at the angel in front of him. It seemed like Solaris was somehow aware of what had just happened in the room as she decided the best plan of action was to hide inside her wings, occasionally peeking out from the gaps in between her wings as she was too embarra.s.sed to move closer to Dax.
(Yeah I would like to order now, one of that to take home, please…. Wait, what the f.u.c.k am I thinking!? 'There comes a point where men need to be men and do what needs to be done'!)
Once more repeating his mother's words inside his head, Dax waited for Solaris to hide inside her wings once more, then without a sound he got up from the couch and moved right in front of the clueless angel without making a sound.
"Eh!?"
Surprised that Dax was suddenly right in front of her face, Solaris hurriedly tried to close up her wings, but before she could do that Dax forced his way in. Overwhelmed by the sweet smell that was coming from Solaris and her wings (as well as her fully flushed cheeks and teary eyes) Dax instantly found himself drawn in and kissed her. Initially overwhelmed by the new sensation, Solaris displayed that she was of a superior race and quickly adapted, coming to find the entire thing quite enjoyable in the matter of a split second.
After a few more minutes had pa.s.sed Solaris found herself unable to bear any more and she quickly escaped to the bedroom with an extremely happy expression on her face as her wings fluttered. Standing in the middle of the room for a few seconds after being frozen in place by such an adorable sight, Dax suddenly formed a smug smile on his face as he went back to the couch. Lying down on his stomach Dax rested his elbows on the couch below him and used his hands to support his head as his legs naturally started swinging back and forth in a rhythmic fas.h.i.+on. Of course, doing that made him want to die from the sheer amount of embarra.s.sment he would feel if Lux saw him like that, but even still, the potential reward of doing such a thing made it all worth it.
"Lilly~ Why don't you stop hiding and come out here?"
"..."
Hearing the clear sound of breathing from right behind the door, Dax clearly noticed Lilly who was on the other side.
"... Why? Won't you just laugh at me?"
"I would never do such a thing I swear~"
Having finally achieved contact with the other side Dax's grin only seemed to increase in magnitude as he tried coaxing Lilly to come out.
"Y-you definitely would! When I saw what Solaris and Alice were wearing I realized I had chosen poorly…"
(So that's what she's worried about?... I guess she still is a girl so it makes sense, although as I am a guy I really don't care about things like that…)
Understanding a bit more where Lilly was coming from Dax decided to stop fooling around as he sat up straight before answering the nervus sounding elver.
"Don't worry I won't laugh, not this time."
"... Are you sure?"
"Yeah, although it seems like me just saying that won't solve anything… Then let's do this: If I laugh I promise I will spend all the time until the operation pampering you from sunrise to sunrise."
(Although I'll most likely do that anyway…)
Making an offer Dax was initially just met with silence from Lilly, but just as he was about to come to her it seemed like the elver had collected her resolve.
"T-then that's a deal you better not break! If you do I'll never forgive you!"
"Sure, I wouldn't propose a deal I couldn't keep."
Having surprised her with an uncharacteristic seriousness Lilly felt herself calm down a little, she was fully aware that she was 'lacking' compared to the other girls, but still, she would be quite sad if Dax really laughed at her.
"T-then I'm coming out!"
Overwhelming her nervousness Lilly stepped out from hiding with a brisk pace, shutting her own eyes due to embarra.s.sment.
"Come on, go ahead and laugh as much as you want!"
With her eyes tightly shut Lilly felt like her face was on fire as she waited for Dax to say something, but she heard nothing but silence as Dax walked up and stood right in front of her.
"You're just as beautiful as always."
"... Really?"
Timidly opening her one eye Lilly quickly shut it again when she noticed that Dax was looking at her, something she hadn't really prepared for.
Unlike Alice who wore a casual dress s.h.i.+rt and Solaris who wore something as daring as a s.e.xy looking nightgown, Lilly wore some cute looking black pyjamas with a hood which had a set of fake ears on top. But Dax was okay with that, in fact, he was way more than okay!
Or at least that's what Daxs mind told him.
The set of arguably immature pyjamas which the normally so adult acting Lilly created a great contrast, that along with the few strands of her red hair that fell out from the hood and her completely flushed face and ears made Dax unable to hold back.
"Yeah, you're extremely cute."
"I-is that s- Ah, what are you doing!?"
As Dax suddenly hugged Lilly mid sentence she initially felt quite mad, but after only a few seconds in his embrace, she felt like it was quite pleasant, what she didn't prepare for was that Dax suddenly picked her up and threw her down on the couch.
"Hey, w-what was that for..."
Feeling quite surprised by such an action Lilly flared in anger to hide her own embarra.s.sment, but when she opened her eyes she found Dax face right above hers.
"So, what do you want to do now?"
With a teasing smile on his face, Dax looked deeply into her eyes, unable to contain her anger Lilly once more flared.
"Why do you have to ask!? Honestly, you're such an idiot!"
Locking lips with Lilly as she was quite fl.u.s.tered, Dax spent a few minutes 'battling for supremacy', easily winning in the end and proving his superiority for combat as a qiton. Allowing Lilly to escape out of his grasp, the elver hurriedly ran off and disappeared into the bedroom, poking out her flushed face after cooling down a bit.
"C-come on, we're going to sleep now."
"Got it."
Being the kind of person not to look a gift horse in the mouth, Dax joined the girls for some rest.
Although none of them really got to sleep that night.
