Shriya went to sit beside him. He folded the clothes neatly and put them back in the bag. She looked at him and he placed his hand over hers and rubbed it soothingly.

He asked "Shri, you know I was born in 1992 right which means I am 28 years old and you were born in 2000 and you are only 20 years old."

She nodded her head and he asked looking straight into her eyes "Is that really okay with you. I mean eight years of age gap is afterall not a simple matter."

He then looked at her and said slowly to make her understand his point "See, I know you are with me because you love me not because of grat.i.tude or something like that, but I still want to remind you of this".

Shriya said "Didn't I tell you already at the college function. I didn't say it just because I wanted to win the award. I said it from the bottom of my heart and I mean it. But let me tell you once again 'Age is just a number for me. I love you and I am ready for this. Don't try to confuse me. I am not so fickle minded".

Abhi laughed with satisfaction but still explained "You knew we love each other and that's enough but if your parents are alive, do you think they would accept this relations.h.i.+p ?".

"Be a sensitive girl, don't go by the emotions" and he looked at her and said in a firm tone but with a smile "Because once we take this step, there is no turning back for you. Brace yourselves".

Shriya looked at him and said "I can't be any more sure about this."

Abhi kissed her with happiness but it was not with desire, it was a light refres.h.i.+ng one.

Then he looked at Shriya and said "Well I want to tell you something else but promise me that you will listen to me without asking me any questions or getting emotional".

She smiled and nodded her head in agreement. He breathed and said "I thought you will ask me how did I get that picture of your brother. But you didn't. Aren't you curious about it ?".

Shriya said "Yeah, I was so happy that day I totally forgot about it. Where did you find it ?".

Abhi replied "I found it at Sony's place?" and Shriya asked "Which Sony".

Abhi looked at her and seeing his obvious expression, she understood but asked once again to confirm "Is it our Sony ?".

He nodded and she asked "Why did she have it ?".

Abhi told her the entire story of how Varun and Ris.h.i.+ being friends from college and how he knew Sony and his relations.h.i.+p with the entire Kaur family. He also briefed how Ris.h.i.+ and Sony came to her house at the time of the accident and how Ris.h.i.+ died there and how Sony was survived and later how she forgot about the incident.

Tears rolled down from her cheeks and fell on her lap. He decided to tell her everything and told her that it was not an accident but was created as one by someone.

Shriya wiped her tears sooner than Abhi expected and asked "Does Sony know about it?".

Abhi nodded and said "She knew everything about the accident but she didn't know that you were the same Shriya till recently."

Shriya looked at him and asked "since when?" and said "I mean how?".

Abhi said "Kunal must have said to her today."

Abhi didn't tell her anything about that first meeting. He thought to take one step at one time.

She didn't have the appet.i.te. Abhi asked the kitchen staff to send some milk and fruits to his room when Shriya went to bath. Later she calmed down a bit and changed into some home clothes.

Despite her insistence he fed her and coaxed her to sleep.

Next day Shriya was ready to go to college as it is Monday. Naveen waited for her in the car and when he saw her distancing herself into some thoughts he asked "What happened?".

She didn't reply to him and sensing that something is really wrong he asked to lighten up the mood "If you are worried about yesterday's shopping, trust me I completely forgot about it".

Shriya looked at him with a grave face and he said with a teasing smile "If you don't believe, ask me the shop address and see, I can't tell because I totally forgot". Listening to him she couldn't help but laugh.

He sighed in relief and said "So what's that in your mind that's bothering you?"

She said looking ahead but it looked like she was thinking about something "Sony know Varun before. If that's true, then the girl whom he told me about earlier must be her too".

The car came to a sudden halt as Naveen put a sudden brake. Both of them bounced forward but it was not something serious.

He looked at her and asked "What did you say ?".

She was so angry and yelled at him "Why did you step on that brake so suddenly? Are you trying to kill us both ?".

He ignored her and asked "What did you just say ?"
