While they were talking and Ailwin was busy battling Braeden, Ruven was observing it everything. Taking it all in with great detail, he was enjoying himself watching this group slowly revealing their idenities.

When he saw Nylian rus.h.i.+ng to protect Prince Ailwin, he moved to throw a dagger hidden in his hand to cut the mask off. However, Mika must have caught his movements for she stopped him from executing his plan by moving both their bodies behind a pillar.

About to teleport Mika outside of the windows of the thirtieth floor, Ruven forgot that he needing to keep a tight hold on Braeden's mind in order to get him to keep attacking Ailwin and the guards.

Feeling a spark of magic, Braeden turned away from his initial opponent, Ailwin, and charge straight at Ruven.

Ruven didn't realize that by using two of his gifts at once, mind control and teleportation, would cause one to weaken.

Noticing the swift change in Braeden's focus, Ruven tried to reclaim control over his mind but he had always been weaker in his mind control gift than his teleportation. 

Panicking at the sight of furious Braeden charging at him, Ruven was too frazzled to concentrated on teleporting himself away from danger. 

Braeden drove straight in him, hitting him square in the chest. Ruven's body flew in the air and straight through the adjacent wall.

On seeing Ruven wasn't getting up, Braeden's head swerved to the next closest person, Mika.

Noticing that Braeden was about to attack Mika, Ailwin shouted for her to run as he tried to get to her in time.

Unfortunately, Braeden didn't allow anyone enough time to come to Mika's rescue. At a speed Ailwin had never seen Braeden use before, he arrive to stand to front of her; raising his hands ready to attack.

*Boom* *Bang* *Crash* *Boom*

Punches and kicks were being thrown in session that there wasn't enough time for a person to block. 

Blood began to spew all over the floor and walls, wails and yelps of pain could be heard coming from inside the room.

"Mika, stop! He's down!...he down...Enough, Mika!" Ailwin voice yelled as he tried to drag Mika away from Braeden's p.r.o.ne body on the floor.

Struggling to pulling the still attacking Mika off of his friend,  the soldiers who were still conscious in the room were stunned frozen as looked at their b.l.o.o.d.y and bruised Braeden.

Ailwin looked at Mika in obvious surprise and anger.

"What...?" Mika looked around the room at the stupefied faces.

"Did you have to go that far?" Ailwin ask after watching the one-sided battle.

"What!?.... You all saw it, he attacked me first!" Mika refreshed everyone's memory.

"Yea...but couldn't you have stopped after he was unconscious on the floor."

"I didn't know he was unconscious, he body was still flopping around."

Ailwin shook his head as he looked at his sick friend. Braeden's body was covered in blood and deep dark bruises all over his body. Regrettablely, Ailwin couldn't tell if they were from the infection or from Mika's punches.

"Let's move him back to the bed…"

"Okay." Mika went to help grab Braeden's arms when one of his legs gave a little jerk at the sudden feel of someone touching his sore spots.

Mika delivered three sharp kicks to Braeden's midsection.

"Mika!"

"He leg move... It never hurts to make sure...and by the way my name is Minx." Mika whispered the last part to Ailwin as this was third time he called her by her real name.

At seeing his friend get beaten to a pulp, Ailwin had mistakenly call Mika by her real name. Afraid that he might have outed her ident.i.ty he began calling her by her codename immediately.

"Lady Minx, please just stand back.... Your servants to come help me lift my General back onto his bed."

"Fine...you two, help Prince Ailwin." Mika pointed at Hycis and Nylian to help.

Hycis was a little scared to touch Braeden. He was afraid that he will suddenly attack them if they try to move him. However, when he got a good look at the damage Mika did to Braeden's face, he's feeling moved from being afraid to feeling sorry for the poor guy.
