"What did you do? Why can't I teleport?…" Ruven stared at Mika like she was his arch nemesis.

Why won't this girl just die!

"Little ole me…? What did I do?"

"You did something! Don't try to make a fool out of me!"

"Nah, I can't take the credit for that, you doing that all by yourself." Mika grin as her dusted the ash from the fire falling on clothes off.

"Argh!" Racing towards her with daggers out, Ruven wanted to see Mika dead.

Revealing the last bottle she bought from the office to the rooftop, Mika sprayed Ruven's body with the liquor. Caught by surprise from the sudden shower of liquid, Ruven paused.

What the h.e.l.l is this?

Getting a whiff of the strong alcoholic fragrance, he felt a deep fear set in his body.

Mika used this time to call back her nanos from Ruven's body. 

With the embers from the main flowing in the wind, the fire had spread to the nearby buildings.

"What happen I thought you wanted to see me dead?"

Ruven didn't know what you do. With Mika standing at the edge of the building nearby the raging flames of the main residence, he was afraid of one small burning ash would set him on fire. However, he couldn't stand to leave her alive.

This feeling of defeat was not something he wanted to eat.

d.a.m.n, all her tricks!

Glancing around the rooftop, he look to see if she had more schemes up her sleeves for him.

Seeing her hands free of weapons and no more bottles of liquor, he felt more confident in going forward.

"You think I'm going to stop because of this?" Ruven continued to walk towards her, with every step bring him closer to the high flames.

Mika knew in order for her to survive she had to get rid of either the monster or Ruven first. Facing two enemies at once would just spell her ending. 

Since Ruven was easier to trick and toy with, he got the short end of the stick.

Happy with the fire she created, Mika glance to the direction of the government building.

This should be enough for Ailwin to see, right?

Looking back at Ruven, she saw he was just six meters from her. With him almost being in the area she needs him to be, Mika cursed her luck at leaving her weapon behind during such a time.

This could have been so much easier with them in my hands…

Seeing Mika looking left and right, Ruven's confident peaked. 

"It seems you're all out of tricks...and luck!" The heat from the fire was making his skin red and sweaty. His alcohol soak clothes were already dried. He needed to finish her off and then quickly escape this inferno.

Sprinting the last couple of meters to reach her, Ruven lunge his dagger towards Mika's chest.

Dropping down low and slanting her body to the left. Using her hands to grab into his extended arm, she tossed him to the awaiting flames.

Not expecting Mika's small body to be able to throw him, Ruven lost his footing as he tumbled forward.

Hitting the edge of the rooftop where the flames were licking to sides of the building, Ruven had no other option but to drop his the other dagger. Holding his hands out, he was able to stop his momentum from throwing him off the rooftop.

The orange flames and the steep drop made his heart stop in his throat.

Patting his chest he glared back at Mika.

This runt has made me look death in the eyes more times than any other enemy I have faced before!

"You know, I have to admit...I've underestimated you." Picking up his drop dagger, Ruven slowly cleaned the blade. "I've learned my lesson. No more tricks or surprises...it's time you die."

"You sure about that."

"Yes…"

Mika nodded her head in understanding, "Okay...but there is just one more surprise for you."

"What?"

Mika raised her hand and pointed to the sky.

Ruven lifted his head towards the sky to see the monster's head looming above him.

"F**K"

When it mouth opened wide, Ruven tried to make a run for it but it was already too late. The monster's teeth clamped onto his right shoulder.

"Aaaarrrgh!" 

Taking the dagger in his left hand, he stabbed at its head over and over again, however the monster was determine not to let its meal go.

"Y...ou! Help...help me!" The pain was too excruciating, he wanted it to stop. He didn't mind begging Mika for help.

"Now, why would I do that?"

"We can both live, if you hel-ahhhh!" The monster bit down harder against Ruven futile attacks on its head.

"Nah, I'm good."

"You!"

The monster pulled Ruven's body from the roof and shook his body back and forth, making him drop the dagger.

 "Yo...you...ca...n't...do...t...his..." 

"Of course, I can. I'm Minx, b.i.t.c.h."

Having lost a lot of blood, Ruven could no longer stay awake against the pain. In his last struggle, Ruven pull out the little bottle of liquid in his pocket, pop the cork and down the liquid.

With the drug quickly working it's way throughout his system, he felt no more pain. 

Since its prey has given up the fight, the monster tossed Ruven's body high up into the air. Opening its mouth wide, Ruven's body to fell in. It crushed his body between its teeth before swallowing every last bit.
