Tempted By My Boss: Book Two 9 Chapter 9

Hailey felt warmth, and she drew herself closer to him. His lips were so soft and she melted against him. Then the magic was gone. Valerian had pulled back and she stumbled a bit. She bit her lip and didn't know what to do.

She turned and ran into her and when she got home, she went into her house and she sat on her bed. She smiled when she remembered the kiss, she looked at the time and she saw that it was really late and she needed some rest.

She s.h.i.+fted in bed for a long time. She couldn't bring herself to sleep It was impossible. She tossed and turned until her body gave in. Hailey woke up the next morning and put on her clothes. She felt a bit tired and so many things that she didn't want to remember.

What was she thinking? In her pajamas, she had gone to go see him. What was wrong with her? Since Valerian came into her life again, he was turning her life upside down. She slugged out of bed and took a shower, she felt a bit better. She went and got some food and went back to lay down. Today she wouldn't do work, she was going to sleep and eat.

She called Bethel and informed her that she wasn't going to come to work and anything that she needed to be done she should see it tomorrow.

Halfway through the day, she heard the doorbell ring and she got up and opened the door.

"Alex, what are you doing here?"

"I came to see you since you aren't at work. May I come in?"

"Sure."

Hailey opened the door wider and let him in. She took two cans of soda and handed him one.

"Thank you."

"You are welcome."

"I thought you could use some company." Said Alex.

"Thank you, I appreciate it."

Hailey was having a hard time looking him in the eye, she kept on thinking about Valerian and what had happened last night. Hailey decided to some movies to watch and they both laughed.

She decided to order some takeaway for dinner and when it arrived they ate.

"One last movie and we call it a night."

"Deal." Said Axel.

Hailey put in a chick flick. And she and Alex shared a light blanket. She looked up to see if he was watching, and he looked down at her. He leaned down and placed a light kiss on her mouth. He pulled back a couple of seconds later and he put his arm around her and drew her closer. Hailey leaned her head against his chest.

Hailey opened her eyes and she found some sun streaming, she found herself still in Alex's arms and he was asleep. They had both fallen asleep.

She got up and went to shower and put on a new set of clothes. Alex roused and he opened his eyes.

"You are awake?"

"Yes. I have showered. You can go shower whilst I make us some breakfast."

"That sounds good Hailey."

Whilst Alex was showering, she made some eggs, bacon, and waffles.

"Smells good."

Hailey looked up at Alex and saw that his hair was wet, and it suits him so well. He sat on the kitchen counter whilst she served him a plate.

"This is really delicious."

"Thank you, sir."

When they finished eating, "Let's go to the park."

"Now?"

"Yes, Hailey."

"Okay."

When her driver arrived, they got into the car, "Can we make a quick stop, to my place I need a fresh set of clothes."

"Sure."

Alex quickly jumped out the car and a couple of minutes later he came back wearing a fresh set of clothes and her breath caught. He really looked good; the white s.h.i.+rt he was wearing complimented him so well. His blonde hair was so wavy and it complimented him so well.

He got into the car, "What?"

"Nothing."

They drove to the park, and they got out. The park was a botanical garden and it looked great. They walked side by side and she took some pictures. Her eyes widened when she felt him grab her hand.

They intertwined their hands together and she smiled.
