She's My Girl 42 Chapter Zander's Worries

Carah was very happy seeing the expression on Lexie's face when she sàw her. "At least even though she was spoilt by her father and grand parents I hold a very special place in her heart despite of the happiness of reuniting with her biological father." She thought and was reminded of how Andre contributed in her up-bringing. Andre how can I repay you for all your kindness. She was contemplating on this thoughts when a hand reached out to her shoulder, she winced in pain, turning around she came face to face with Zander.

"What do you want?" She hastily asked to cover her painful reaction. she have some bruises in some parts of her body from the earlier encounter with bad guys

"Is there something wrong with your shoulder? are you in pain?" he asked.

"It's nothing! now what do you want? I'm asking you." she asked angrily.

"Is this going to be the scene when we meet ?, you're always so distant and angry?" He countered.

"It depends, why? does it make you guilty that I don't want to have anything to do with you?" Carah said.

"We are husband and wife."

" You should have thought of it before you throw me out if your home and out of your life, seven years ago."

"So now we are going down to history."

"Yes because of that so called history as you say that we are in this situation."

"Carah how can I make it right for what happened."

"No amount of regrets on your part can change the past."

"You are a hard woman to please."

"You have only yourself to blame for that."

"You don't know what I went through in life." he tried to reason out.

"All the same Zander! You don't know what I went through when as for you, You don't even recall any of it, I went through with all the pain and misery aware of all if this memories and events."

"You're just being vindictive."

"You on the other hand is just taking it all for granted that you can step in and out of my life just like that , that it never happened, let me remind you that the only link we have is Lexie. And don't be so sure that you can use that "we are husband and wife " label because I am filing our marriage to be nullified citing numerous reasons, such as psychological incapacity and irreconcilable differences among others." she doesn't what to see Zander so defeated with her arguments, but she let her profession gets the better out of and it comes out naturally.

"Carah , don't do this. Let me make it up to you to Lexie. Let's start over again." He tried to convince her.

"I don't know....everything has changed, I don't know if I can trust you."

"If you file it, I won't sign it."

" You can, if you don't , but you're forgetting I am a lawyer, I will find loopholes."

" No sweetie!!! just discussing important matters." They both answer in unison.

"Are you ready to leave princess, go bade goodbyes to your grandparents."

Zander holds an appeal on his face and Carah tried so hard to ignore it , she told herself all her bottled up emotion just explode by simple poke.

She thought she might be getting overboard with Zander, and getting unreasonable, quite not like her, but sometimes she just can't help it.

On the other hand she is very happy and satisfied on the way he is treating their daughter kind, loving and secured and can be a disciplinarian when the need arises.

Andre on the other hand has been showing some romantic interest on her that is quite bothering her because she doesn't see him in that light, he's been through some tough times in his life and she doesn't want to break his heart given the fact that he has been a great help to her in her tough time dealing with Lexie's looking for her father. He is such a very nice and gentle person that it pains her to see him broken even worse being the cause of this feelings.

Zander was alone in his study trying to concentrate on his workload filing up. He tried hard but the thought that his worst fear is indeed becoming a reality, keep on nagging to his senses. He is wondering what can be done to change her mind and instead give him a chance to set things right for her and their daughter. He is not freeing himself from blame from what happened to their marriage but he is trying very hard to break down the wall of ice that she built between them.
