Unexpectedly, Yoona found her hands running through his hair, ruining the thick gel that kept his style tidy. His hair would surely become a whirlwind of a mess but at the moment, it felt so nice tugging on the strands.
People widened their eyes, blus.h.i.+ng at the two go. The scene was inappropriate for the gala but the couple didn't care. In this single moment, only two of them were present in their world and that was all that mattered.
Minhyun reluctantly pulled back after realizing how quiet everyone had become. The orchestra even matched a song to their mood, playing a romantic ballad.
For a kiss in public, they had clearly crossed the line. He could already sense the tension in the air. Not of disapproval per say, but of pure interest.
"Your response was very unexpected," he mumbled. His low timbre had a husky edge, making it incredible s.e.xy. Even though he was the one that stopped their kiss, he couldn't help but crave for more.
"So you didn't like it?" She teased. There was tint of pink on her cheeks as she was just as taken aback as him. Although she had expected for the kiss to be great considering the pa.s.sion both of them had, she never expected this. Minhyun was not only talented in his brains but he was an amazing kisser.
Wow. Ten out of ten. Everything about it blew her away.
Minhyun hummed and grabbed her chin, intensely making eye-contact with her. "Look at me in the eyes and tell me if you can truly say that I didn't like it."
She gulped. Her pupils wavered under his vision. "Ah. Never mind. Forget I said anything."
The corner of his lips lifted up. "Thought so."
Seeing that Minhyun had the upper hand, Yoona decided to turn the tables. After all, she still had to get him back for that almost kiss.
"So you want to kiss again?" She asked, glancing at his lips. Already by his gaze, she could feel the amount of self-control he had. He was really trying to not fall for her tricks.
Yet, he couldn't help it. For the girl in front of him was Yoona. While she leaned in, he mirrored her actions, ready for another take. Everyone was watching but he didn't mind.
When she was a few centimeters away from his lips, she quickly s.h.i.+fted to his ear. A whisper escaped her lips. "People are staring. We should stop. Don't even think about kissing me again here."
Minhyun's mouth opened in shock. This little... She had gotten a lot bolder hasn't she with her teasing? After he composed himself, he thought of what his next step should be. Should he follow along and give up or get her back? At the moment, the thought of kissing her plump lips again was very tempting.
"Not here? Okay, we can continue when we get home," he whispered. A smirk played on his lips. He got her back.
"Okay."
Minhyun furrowed his eyebrows. He hadn't expected such a bold response. "Okay?"
"I'm joking," Yoona giggled. Suddenly, a wave of seriousness entered her face and her smile disappeared. "Don't think about laying a hand on me back at home. You have to earn it you loser."
It was like a bullet to his chest. "Feisty."
"I'm not an easy girl," Yoona said while flipping her hair.
Minhyun chuckled. "I never said you were."
"I know. That's why you aren't going to get these lips easily."
"Is that a challenge?"
"Nope. It's a fact."
--- While the couple continued flirting, Jaeun who had watched the scene quickly left. Completely heartbroken and finished, she trudged her way back to the Moon group. Every last bit of her hope shattered. Chae Minhyun wouldn't dare look at her. The kiss made it clear. They were meant for each other. Her nails dug into her palms, drawing blood into her hands. f.u.c.k. It was all sickening. In the end, the perfect ones really did win. No matter how much effort she put. The pain in her hands didn't register in her brain yet. "It looks like you and your brother both have a thing for hurting your hands." Jaeun turned her head to face her uncle, quickly hiding them behind her back. "W-what do you mean?" He chuckled. A dark glint entering his eyes. "Your brother punched a wall resulting in his b.l.o.o.d.y hand and now you are hurting yourself." Jaeun didn't notice this. Now that she thought about it, he did strangely have his hand in his pocket the whole time. No wonder. However, hearing it out of this stupid uncle's mouth made her want to sneer. What did this have to have anything to do with his nosy a.s.s? The uncle noticed her expression and chuckled. Having been in the family and industry for so long, he knew how to push her b.u.t.tons. "It's a pity. The two Moon siblings loved by all have quickly fallen tonight. First Jaemin and soon, you are to be next. Am I not correct?" Jaeun grit her teeth. "Stop. You're being f.u.c.king annoying." The uncle didn't mind her profanity. In fact, it only made his smile bigger. To think everything would work in his favour was wonderful. There was a large chance the Moon group would become his son's now. "It's Karma. You bullied and tried to ruin Ms. Yoona. Now this is your punishment."
