At noon, Zhao Zilin found a place to eat lunch, then returned to Guangming Law Firm in a good mood.

She had achieved her goal. She had shown herself worthy of Zhuang Wentian's 'cultivation' and 'trust'.

Though she had returned triumphant she kept her pride in check and carried on life like normal.

She continued to face the bitter glares and comments of her colleagues. But now it did nothing to affect her confidence she knew her truth and that was enough for her.

When Zhao Zilin stepped into the office, her colleagues immediately began to gossip in their groups occasionally casting a contemptuous gaze over to Zhao Zilin.

To their actions Zhao Zilin turned a blind eye.

Arriving at Zhuang Wentian's office, Zhao Zilin smiled and walked in. Though she had given him a basic breakdown of what had happened on the phone. She needed to give a detailed report now.

Removing the self-satisfied grin of her face she walked in.

Zhao Zilin unhurriedly took out a check for 18,500 from her briefcase and placed it on Zhuang Wentian's desk. She smiled and said: "The case was handled this is the agency fee."

Zhuang Wentian finally released a sigh. All this morning, he had been completely restless, even though Zhao Zilin had said she had succeeded. He wasn't willing to believe it till he saw it.

Fortunately, it seems Zhao Zilin didn't let him down.

Zhuang Wentian readily accepted the cheque, seeing the amount he thought it was only a small case.

However, for Zhuang Wentian, this was a good start. for her to finish her case in just one day was great.

"So you managed to solve your case in one day.... well done. How was it, completing your first case?"

"It was quite simple just a contract disputes. I managed to negotiate with New Century after pressuring them. They failed to live up to the terms of the contract so they compromised. Which meant HuaXiang managed to get their artist without having to pay the withdrawal fee which would have been one million yuan they even compensated our party for economic loss." Zhao Zilin said concisely and truthfully.

"New... New Century Entertainment? One million?" Zhuang Wentian was stupefied.

"Uhh, yes." Seeing Zhuang Wentian's abrupt behaviour, Zhao Zilin asked in confusion.

"You just said that New Century Entertainment chose a compromise which saved your client's one million in cancellation fees?" Zhuang Wentian slowly stood up and pressed his hands to his desk, staring at Zhao Zilin intensely.

"Yes sir, is there an issue" Zhao Zilin asked cautiously.

Zhuang Wentian stared at Zhao Zilin with a sorrowful gaze, and said unhappily: "You have saved a million for HuaXiang Entertainment but you only brought back 18,500 yuan."

"Dammit, this case involved more than one million yuan. According to the charging standard, our lawyers should take a commission of 10%, that is 100,000. But you actually only took 18,500 from the other party." Zhuang Wentian said dejected.
