Mu Qing said as he stared at the man wearing a black outfit with a veil on his face. The veiled man was holding a soft sword while glaring at him.
The veiled man did not speak. He readied himself and was planning to run forward and pa.s.s through Mu Qing but before he could even make his way through, a small dagger almost grazed his face. The veil that was covering half of his face was ripped apart, only a small portion on the upper part of the veil kept it from being torn completely. As the wind blew, the ripped veil swayed, showing his delicate chin.
The veiled man was none other than An Wei. He turned his head and glared at the direction where the small dagger came from. When he saw that the person who threw it was a young eunuch, An Wei could not help but be surprised.
"Tsk. It's you again? Why can't you stay put?" The young eunuch was exuding a different aura unbefitting to a feminine man who was working inside the palace.
The young eunuch turned his head and looked at Mu Qing.
"Why are you still trying to talk to him? If he does not want to follow, just catch him and tie him up. Only one person and yet you cannot contain him."
Hearing the young eunuch's words, Mu Qing's face darkened. The young eunuch was none other than Zhang Wu Li, Xu Fei Yi's personal eunuch. Before, Mu Qing thought that Zhang Wu Li was a soft persimmon, a weak hearted person. Later, after finding out Xu Fei Yi's other ident.i.ty, Mu Qing also found out that the weak Zhang Wu Li who was a eunuch was only a pretense, a false persona created by Xu Fei Yi's most loyal man, his second in command, in order to secure his safety in the palace. It was only recently that Mu Qing learned that Zhang Wu Li's true name was Yue s.h.i.+n.
"Why are you trying to stop us from seeing our Young Mistress? What malicious plan are you planning?!"
Suddenly, YuShang's accusing voice echoed in the surroundings. She did not care that the manner of her address towards XuanRong had changed back from when XuanRong was still an unmarried woman. Due to her anxiousness, she had forgotten that XuanRong was no longer a young miss but the wife of a first rank prince. It was nothing for her but to Mu Qing, it held a different meaning. He could not help but sigh inwardly.
YuShang's dress was full of dirt but she was not wounded. She, YuShen and YuYing were tied in a complicated knot and could only sat on the ground obediently. The sun was almost up and they feared that it was already too late for their Young Miss to hide while trying to suppress the female Gu.
Looking at the aggravated faces of XuanRong's maidservants, Mu Qing's head throbbed. He felt helpless as he recalled the event that happened a while ago.
When XuanRong postponed her plan to leave Qinw.a.n.g Fu for an hour, YuYing and the rest obediently waited on the residence gate. When the allotted time pa.s.sed, XuanRong did not arrive, making YuYing and the rest anxious. If XuanRong would not leave immediately, they would not be able to reach Chen Fu before the full moon arrives. If the situation was unfavorable, there was a possibility that XuanRong would have no choice but to suppress the female Gu during their travel outside the residence which would make her delicate and weak. If they would encounter a highly skilled a.s.sa.s.sins from the JiangHu, they would be in a difficult position. Thus, YuShen and XuanRong's other maidservants planned to call XuanRong once again but before they could even take a step forward, Mu Qing and the rest of the imperial guards under his command s.h.i.+fted their body, blocking YuShen's path.

"What is the meaning of this, Chief Mu?" YuShen asked suspiciously. YuYing and YuShang could not help but be alert when they also noticed the imperial guards' suspicious action.
Looking all serious, Mu Qing opened his mouth and spoke.
"Lady Shen, why are you acting all anxious? It was clearly Her Highness' order to postpone your travel for a while to accompany His Highness. Why would you try to defy her order? As a servant, do not act beyond your master's wish."
Hearing Mu Qing's question, YuShen fell silent. There was nothing wrong with Mu Qing's words. It was indeed XuanRong's desire to accompany His Highness Xu Fei Yi but she wanted to remined her Mistress that the time is running out. Although Mu Qing's words were a bit harsh, there was truth behind it.
"Chief Mu, YuShen JieJie is not trying to defy Qinw.a.n.gFei's words but she only wanted to remind Her Highness that it would not be long before the sun sets. Once night comes, it would be dangerous to travel outside the Fu. We are Her Highness' personal maidservants; how could you treat us like this?" YuShang's brows were knitted together as she spoke. There was nothing wrong with her words but her voice was a bit impolite. In her eyes, Mu Qing's high rank was useless. For YuShang, aside from XuanRong, no one had the right to be arrogant if front of them.
"YuShang." YuShen gave her a warning. Under YuShen's gaze, YuShang could only close her mouth.
Sensing the atmosphere becoming stiff, YuYing immediately mediated.
"Chief Mu, since it became like this, why don't we ask Qinw.a.n.gFei directly? This servant will go back and ask Her Highness. If she decided to leave, then we will leave but if Her Highness decided to stay, then we will follow Her Highness' wish. No need to have an argument here."
After speaking, YuYing moved and walked forward, planning to return to the residence, but how could Mu Qing allow her to return and destroy Xu Fei Yi's plan? Thus, Mu Qing moved and stood in front of her, blocking her way.
"YOU-!!"
YuYing felt vexed. She could not help but glare at him.
"Move!"
Mu Qing stayed rooted on the ground as if he did not hear YuYing's word.
YuShang and YuShen looked at each other and silently had an agreement.
In a split second, the two placed their left hand inside their sleeves and pulled a black colored powder. Without saying anything, the two threw the black colored powder to the imperial guards standing around them, catching them off guard. The black powder was only a poison that could paralyze the Imperial Guards for a couple of incense stick of time and would not bring harm to them.
YuYing saw that YuShen and YuShang made her move and tried to run forward, planning to use the situation as the diversion. Too bad, Mu Qing's reflex was good and YuYing was unable to run forward. An Wei suddenly appeared behind YuShen and YuShang, planning to help.
When the Imperial Guards fell one by one, the Yu sisters and An Wei thought that they succeeded but suddenly, a group of black clothed men appeared out of nowhere. An Wei became alerted. When he was hiding, he did not sense them, and now that they appeared out from thin air, he realized that he was only a couple of levels above them. It would have been advantageous for him if it was only one person but the black clothed men were more than fifteen. Even YuShen who was the strongest among XuanRong's maidservants could not defend herself in a one on one fight.
