The fight started without any delay. The black-clothed men were Xu Fei Yi's subordinates from the Dark Palace and his personal shadow guards. Hiding in the shadows, those men knew that their Lords.h.i.+p pampered their Ladys.h.i.+p. After a month of observation, they saw their Ladys.h.i.+p cared for her own people and knew that if something bad would happen to YuYing and the rest, their Ladys.h.i.+p would never forgive them. Their own Lords.h.i.+p, who was the sole culprit and the one who ordered them would only look at them with cold eyes when the time comes.
Thus, the black-clothed men could only cry silently. They decided to treat YuYing and the rest 'gently', trying their best not to make YuYing and the rest miserable. As the time went by, XuanRong's maidservants were defeated one by one. The poison tricks they did with the Imperial Guards was unsuccessful towards those black-clothed men. They effortlessly countered those poisons and nerve numbing powders YuShen and the rest had.
The fight escalated until the only one left standing was An Wei.

After accepting the fact that Xu Fei Yi and her benefactor were the same person and decided to admit the complicated feelings she had for him, XuanRong had become comfortable being inside his embrace, as if there was an invisible layer of protection enclosing her, making her feel safe.
'That's right!! YuYing and the rest must have been waiting for me!'
XuanRong wanted to push Xu Fei Yi away and leave the bed but another thought halted her movement.
The sun would rise up soon and the night would end few minutes later, but XuanRong had not seen them after that time when she ordered to postpone their journey for an hour.
Last night was full moon and given their loyalty and care towards her, YuYing and the rest would definitely urge her to leave Qinw.a.n.g Fu once again…. unless…..
XuanRong's eyes darkened when she thought of a possibility. She whipped her head towards Xu Fei Yi and glared at him.
"What did you do?"
Xu Fei Yi avoided her gaze and once again buried his face on her neck, refusing to speak.
"Fei Yi." XuanRong's face grimaced. Her voice was hard, not an ounce of softness could be heard. Although XuanRong's tone was full of warning, it carried a bit of helplessness. It was different when she was speaking with the childlike Xu Fei Yi that was full of tenderness and love or when she was speaking respectfully towards her benefactor. Subconsciously, XuanRong did not notice the changes within her actions.
Xu Fei Yi stilled for a while before he murmured, "So annoying. Locked away."

"They are my people. I do not want them to be hurt. Release them or else I will get angry with you."
Xu Fei Yi tightened his embrace as if he did not want XuanRong to get angry at him.
"Mmm…" in the end, Xu Fei Yi could only hum in agreement.
Moving his face away from XuanRong's neck, Xu Fei Yi called out.
"Yue Mi."
Outside the room, a shadow appeared and knelt.
"This subordinate is here."
XuanRong's eyes narrowed when she heard a familiar voice.
"Release them."

The shadow disappeared immediately.

XuanRong laughed inwardly. She did not expect that the child whom she saved few years ago and had received a name from her was Xu Fei Yi's subordinate. When XuanRong met her, she felt pity towards the child and decided to bring her in the manor, giving her the name 'YuMi'. It turned out that what happened few years ago was a premeditated plan from Xu Fei Yi.
'Since when did he start spying me? Don't tell me…. from the start?'
As if he could not feel XuanRong's annoyance, Xu Fei Yi righteously spoke.

Thus, when they were 'released', An Wei left Qinw.a.n.g Fu, leaving only a message saying, "This subordinate has failed to protect you. This subordinate will return once this subordinate has the power to stand beside you."
XuanRong had no idea as to where An Wei would go. Even if she did not want An Wei to leave, she understood that she should not stop An Wei.
XuanRong tossed An Wei's matter at the back of her mind. She had many things to do. She had to cure Xu Fei Yi's illness but she had to wait for a while since the full moon had just ended. Aside from that, it was now time to settle things with Li Jung Li. She had been waiting for the right time… Now that Li Jung Li had been addicted to Baili Chen's taste, the bait she had painstakingly prepared, it would be a waste if she would not stir trouble.
