As Hua was running and contemplating on what to do, she heard the sounds of tree branches cracking and breaking apart from above. She quickly pulled the lady down to the ground.
Just an arm's reach, the yellow claws of the black falcon had almost sunk into both of them. Wan Hei dove down on the pile of dirt instead and just missed his target. His eyes grew redder from losing the pair of insignificant beings. With his strong metal-like wings raised up high in the air, he turned around full of fuming energy. He let out a great shriek to let the men catch up to where he was. Those red eyes of his then turned to focus on Hua's figure who had brought out a long sword that was glistering in the moonlight and completely ignored the defenceless lady beside Hua.
Wan Hei smiled. A simple sword would never hurt or bring a wound to him. Then, a sinister laugh was let out from his throat. It would need more than that, without making any more haste, he leapt towards Hua powerfully.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
Hua positioned herself and brought back her sword ready to strike. She saw the content in her enemy's eyes as he looked at her sword like it was a trash. Well, this sword was a gift from her leader and Xiao Bai, and both of them would never give anything useless, hmph! As her opponent drew closer, she began running towards him fearlessly.
Wan Hei's eyes were mocking the little human being even more. Running to your death young one haha.
Just as the sword and large claws were about to clash into each other, Hua took a sharp turn underneath the big winged-creature; diving on her knees below it. Before the creature completely flew past, she took an abrupt halt and immediately stood up on her legs again. She did not wait any longer and thrust her sword from behind her into the creature's back.
Another loud shriek came out from the large creature. This time it was full of agony and anger. This weakling! At once, Wan Hei drove his big mighty wings around. He turned around mightily and with his wings he forcefully pushed Hua who was off-guard a couple of meters away.
The sight of the huge creature made Lady Ru Yin stunned for never in her life had she encountered anything like this. She watched as it was now approaching towards Hua.
Hua was thrown away in the air with the great force from Wan Hei. She landed on the ground and threw up a mouthful of blood. However, she did not stay on the ground for long and shakily tried pus.h.i.+ng herself up with her sword for the big creature was now slowly approaching her as if a predator would to its prey. Hua quickly glanced at the lady who was behind and signalled to her to run away. By anytime, more men would come and they would be in more trouble.
Lady Ru Yin was full of reluctance. She would not leave the young girl to face this creature alone. Though she was s.h.i.+vering throughout her body, she trembly reached out for a sharp stone and shakily stood up.
In contrast, Hua could not help but shake her head. However, right after, she was preoccupied by the huge claws that were now aiming at her. This time the trick she had used before would not work again, but her feet stood firm in place as the creature grew closer.
Just as Lady Ru Yin was about to throw the stone in her hand, there was a terrifying low snarl of another creature behind her. Out of fright, she dropped the stone in her hand down almost immediately. Slowly she turned around, only to be faced with another gigantic creature. Her eyes were looking into a pair of crystal blue eyes.
She could not help but let out a small gasp. Was this the end for her as well? She stared at the other creature in terror. Then, the creature leapt out from the darkness and as she had thought it would leap at her, she closed her eyes frightfully. Lady Ru Yin waited for the creature's sharp teeth to grasp her, but that moment never came.
Another loud painful shriek came out, but it did not come from Lady Ru Yin, and had come from the big black falcon that was about to sink its claws into Hua's flesh.
Lady Ru Yin quickly opened her eyes and she watched with amazement. The big white creature had its sharp teeth sunk into one wing of the falcon. The white creature looked as if it was a wolf but bigger. Its fur was a silky white that reflected the moon. Truly majestic. Lady Ru Yin could not have praise in her heart.
Then, another fright came to her heart for Hua had thrown her sword straight pa.s.sed Lady Ru Yin without any notice. The middle-aged lady was terribly startled. The next moment she knew, Hua was already fighting with other figures in black that were trying to capture Lady Ru Yin.
In the once peaceful mountain, a small battle began. The great white snowy wolf was battling ferociously with the great black falcon and Hua was fending off the group of a.s.sa.s.sins alone. The fight lasted almost an hour when the victor was made.
With whatever strength Wan Hei had left, he dove into the sky where his territory was. He flew as fast as he could to get away from the jaws of that snowy wolf. Though he had gotten away, he was badly injured and had lost his face with it. The majestic air and magnificent being of Wan Hei was stripped away. All was left were his black feathers that were all tainted with blood.
Seeing their strongest force leave, the group in black began to panic. They all hastily came to a decision to retreat as well. In a smoke of white mist, they were all gone.
Hau had no more strength left to follow them and Xiao Bai had the slightest concern to even follow them. What a pain in his foot. He had to come all the way flying, not fan, in a private jet just to get here. It was good that Hua had informed Mi Rong before.
3 hours ago, in the market
Hua had come down to the market which was around an hour away from where they were staying. She had a simple hat on with her and went around the market to get fresh food. However, as she was buying the groceries, she saw the group of men searching or rather looking for someone. They were all dressed like commoners but their faces expose them off. All of them looked like fighters and not ordinary fighters but a.s.sa.s.sins to be on point.
Going by her instincts, she could smell nothing but trouble from them. She had followed them to where they were hiding out and there, she saw the shadows of an even bigger problem. It was the bird. The bird that her Xuan group were talking about. Hence, immediately, she called her leader and asked for help for it was only her who was taking care of the lady. All their forces were all resting from rooting down their target's headquarters from the other night, so Hua was left to take care of lady Ru Yin.
If it had been only these group of men, she would be fine, but the men together with the bird; it was not fine. Hua had immediately notified her leader about it and at once, Mi Rong had sent Xiao Bai on a private jet to j.a.pan. Mi Rong had told Hua to distract the men with false clues before Xiao Bai came.
Hua had followed the orders and all was fine when she was only tricking those men but when the bird joined, she could barely escape from it's tracking eyes. Then, the place where she was living with the lady was found out eventually.
Back to present.
Xiao Bai was now licking Hua's injuries and had also given the girl some medicines. The pill had appeared out of nowhere hovering on top of Xiao Bai's head and Hua had taken it without thinking twice. He was now healing the girl; with every lick, a special healing component was covering the wound slowly. It was also how Xiao Bai would heal himself with.
Usually, he would not lick anyone else' injuries except for Mi Rong, but he knew if Mi Rong was here, she would have told him to do so anyway. That girl cared for too many people. Hence, Xiao Bai was licking the wounds away.
Both Xiao Bai and Hua were used to each other, but Lady Ru Yin was still stunned. Full of curiosity, she could not help but ask, "This is?"
