"I have the same reaction, but it is true that no matter how strong you are, there is always someone who is much stronger than you." Before Anna got to know about Johan's existence, she always believes that her mother is the strongest person in the world. But now, she's worried that the people who are stronger than her mother will come together and bring her mother down.
"So what are we gonna do now?" Lucia asked. If they can't kill their target now because of this other man, they have to figure out another way to finish their mission.
"You're the leader of this mission. You decide what to do next."
Lucia almost clicked her tongue when she heard that. She can't believe that Anna is letting her make the decision when she has no clue what this other can do.
"Fat Man, you did what I asked you to do?"
"I... I did, Sir." It's clear on this guy's tone that he nervous talking yo Johan. And every pa.s.sing second that he's with Johan, he feels like he is about to collapse.
"Good. I hope that I hear good news from you soon then." Johan looks around the place and he feels like someone is watching them.
Since he's having this feeling, it better for him to leave now. He's leaving because he doesn't want to get in the way of whoever it is watching them, and not because he is afraid.
"Y-You're leaving now, Sir?" Honestly, he would rather have Johan leave right away, but he can't act rude to the person who helped him earn the money he is earning now. If he even manages to get on this man's bad side, it will be bad business for him.
Not only his business will end, but also his life. Other than money, his life is much more important to him.
"Yes. Do you want me to stay here?" Johan asked with a smirked plastered on his face. Does the way he smiles and talks really scare people that much? Sometimes he wonders what does it feel to be on the other end of the stick.
"N-No. I mean, I would love for you to stay longer, b-but I'm sure you have a much more important job to do than to accompany me, S-Sir."
Without saying anything further, Johan left the room, then he called his a.s.sistant. "Get all of Fat Man's a.s.sets. He won't use it anymore since this will be his last day living. And no, I'm not the one killing the guy."
Back in the room where Anna and Lucia are hiding, the man is currently resting his head. He is having so much stress just talking to Johan. If only there is another way of communicating with that man without personally talking to him.
"That was such a small conversation and we didn't even get any information," Lucia muttered to herself. She thought that she could a piece of information that could really excite her.
"It's not exactly a complete detail, but it's the starting point of the search." After saying that Anna came out of her hiding and pointed her gun to the target.
"I wonder why that man called you Fat Man?" Lucia's voice startled the man. What shock him the most is the fact that Anna is pointing a gun at him.
He's wondering how these girls got into this room without making any sounds. "H-How did you two get inside here?!"
"Is that the question you're supposed to be asking right now?" Lucia somehow felt like people are purposely making her feel disappointed.
'Is how we got here that important rather than asking the reason why we're here?'
"Guards! Guards!" The man called out his men outside of this room, but none were able to respond to him.
"Have you forgotten already? You sent your men away from this room when you let Johan enter." Now that Anna is mentioning this, she thinks that this man is stupid to have his guard to go far away from this room, especially if the visitor is Johan.
Having someone outside of this door when Johan is around is important. You never know what could Johan can do when he is in the mood to kill someone.
"That move is really stupid, you know?" Lucia mockingly asked.
"Before we get to the part where things could go b.l.o.o.d.y, I think you should answer my question." Anna puts her gun away, then took out the dagger hidden in her boots. "What was the task Johan asked you to do, hmm?"
The man can tell that the blade in Anna's hand is sharp and can easily slice through his skin. He is afraid of it, but the thought of Johan scares him more. If Johan were to know that he shared such information, he will die. But if he doesn't, these two teenagers will kill him.
'I'm going to die either way.' He inwardly cried. He sees no opportunity for him to escape his death in the hands of these girls or Johan's.
"Wow. Are you really crying right now? You're supposed to act like a tough guy right now, but this... this is just way too disappointing, don't you think so?"
Years ago, men act superior to women, even now some men still do the same. To them, women are just tools and women are nothing compared to them. This man right in front of them is the same, he thinks women are lower than him.
Yet, here he is crying in front of Anna and Lucia. Such embarra.s.sing sight that Lucia would not dare share this story to other people.
"P-Please spare me. I will say and do anything that you want from me. J-Just please, spare me." The man weep. But Anna and Lucia feel no pity for the man. He uses human beings as a tool to become rich. Such a man doesn't deserve to be pitied at or even deserve to live.
"You are in no position to ask that to us. You know what you did, and you should know that sparing you will not bring justice to the people who you wronged. Whether you tell us the information that we need or not, it doesn't matter because the end of your life has already been decided."
Anna is no Grim Reaper or G.o.d, and she has no right to decide on how people should die or when they should die, but it doesn't matter. To those people who are worse than sc.u.m, Anna thinks that they deserve it.
"Anna, look into his computer. It seems like he is not willing to cooperate with us unless we give him our word to not kill him. And since we don't want to, it's best to look for the information that we need ourselves." Lucia said with a smirk. They don't have to delay eliminating this man, but for Lucia, it's fun to watch this man's scared face.
Anna followed Lucia's orders, and soon after, she found the information that they need. Along with that, her reaction is not what she had in mind. 'I can't believe this.' Anna inwardly said to herself.
"Lucia, we need to get to where my grandfather is quick! He needs to know what Fat Man found and what Johan is planning to use it for." She frantically said. Her grandfather is not in any danger just yet, but it is vital for her grandfather to know the information that she just found.
The sooner her grandfather know about it, the better it is.
"Too bad. It seems like I won't have the pleasure to torture you."
Before the man can even respond to what Lucia just said, Lucia already pulled the trigger.
Both girls managed to sneak out of the mansion and reunited with Aaron and Ophius without getting caught by the remaining guards. And on their way towards their ride, they saw the driver laying down the ground, and thankfully, the driver was only unconscious.
On top of the driver's body, they found a letter. Anna picked it up and started to read it, "Little Coleman twins, you and your friends should feel thankful to me that I didn't say a word to Fat Man about your a.s.sa.s.sination mission. And I must say, you little punks are getting better and better. I almost didn't even notice it."
"He knew we were there and didn't say a word. W-Why would he do that?" Lucia is now confused. Naturally, an enemy like him will reveal anything, but Johan, he's different.
"He has ulterior motives, that's what it is. He's been purposely letting me and my brother go freely whenever we cross paths." Anna said as she grips on the letter tightly. She desperately wants to know what Johan is thinking.
