The Gods' Decree 244 Awakening The Beast - My Modus 2

Having noted the conflict being resolved with Barthelemu providing protection for May, Jason with a tactically placed smile once more turned his attention to Taf. Yet as he stared at the youth a chill ran down his spine.

The Mouse's demeanor had totally taken a 360-degree turn as his eyes resemble a ravenous beast thirsty for blood. It was as though Jason's presence became trivial as he stared at s.h.i.+noda rarely showing his true emotions.

He has always been calm and collected, however, there are certain lines that should never be crossed in his view. Having failed at his attack on him, s.h.i.+noda had then targeted May. Through this means, he had but cemented his fate.

To any who seeks harm on the people you love, only one thing awaits, utter annihilation. It is his modus and way of life.

s.h.i.+noda sensing Taf's gaze only had one gesture, his middle finger. Realizing he had seeming tugged a string by attacking May, he even went further to mouth the words,

"f.u.c.k you and the b.i.t.c.h."

As Jason was about to interject with a warning to s.h.i.+noda he felt a faint wind. When he turned around to face Taf, he was nowhere to be seen.

"Where did he?"

the words barely escaped his lips and when he turned around Jason was shocked to see Taf's fist embedded in s.h.i.+noda's gut.

Puk!

Blood splurted out from s.h.i.+noda's mouth as he looked down at a strong iron fist thrust against his intestine. He looked in the youth's eyes and for some reason, he saw his death.

"How are you so stron..?"

s.h.i.+noda tried to speak as never would he in his wildest dream believe a day would come whereby an opponent bested him in merely a second. He then unleashed the full force of his qi of half-step lord causing huge dust clouds to form and nearly uprooting most of the nearby trees.

Yet as s.h.i.+noda looked at Taf all he did was sway his head as the brown and black locks on his head blew. With an expressionless face, he then uttered a phrase which sent chills down s.h.i.+noda's spine,

"Why are you so weak?"

Taf then followed up the utterance by ruthlessly grabbing s.h.i.+noda's throat. While continuously feeding his gut with brutal punches which caused all the onlooker to wince at the sight. 

Bartholemu for one still could not for the life of him fully comprehend what was unfolding. Was s.h.i.+noda really incapacitated by a mere fist? They were basically of the safe strength so wouldn't his fate be similar?

Puk! Puk!

Blood gushed from s.h.i.+noda's mouth as though he was a geyser, He then felt as though all of his mohawk hairs were being ripped from their roo,t as Taf held clumps in his hand.

Wack!

He then sent s.h.i.+noda head pummelling into the ground while stamping on his back. Not even a second was given for s.h.i.+noda to plea for mercy as Taf had already heard everything that he previously wanted to convey.

A black Warhammer was then summoned to Taf's hands, yet it seemed too heavy even for someone of his strength. His hand became visibly veiny, as for the first time in a long while Taf unleashed his qi. Though it was hampered by the bronze bracelet.

Boom!

It shredded all the trees around sending them flying into the air and even Jason in the distances found that he was being affected. For the first time in his life, he uttered a word when speaking of another being,

"Genius!"

Finally, the Warhammer lifted as Taf readied to smash down but heard a shout coming from the sky,

"Don't you dare!"

Yet he paid to no mind replying, "I'm sorry I didn't hear your cry."

Wack!

The hammer smashed down on the head of s.h.i.+noda who was sadly unaware of his destined fate. With a drop of the hammer, there wasn't even a scream escaping his lips as death was instantaneous. 

His corpse was now headless as only a piece of his vertebrate could be seen pointing out. As if spoken into being, May's last word to s.h.i.+noda held true, as his brain was scattered throughout the forest. A small fragment could even be seen on the shoulders of Jason.

Still, he paid it no heed after what his eyes just witnessed. s.h.i.+noda was ma.s.sacred and when looking in the youth's eyes who called himself Sir Mouse, there was seemingly no remorse. How can one be so ruthless at such a young age? Even he would second guess himself before killing someone the way Taf did.

Didn't this youth know the consequences of his actions?

While in his thoughts, above in the sky he Jason felt stifling qi which caused him to feel suppressed. When he and the others looked up they observed two elder rus.h.i.+ng down in order to save s.h.i.+noda but it was too late.

They were elders Alders and Mu. A vein protruded on Alders's forehead as he saw the headless corpse of s.h.i.+noda. This was the second corpse in under twelve hours and it was the same culprit.

Yet unlike Darwin, s.h.i.+noda was one of the most prized disciples, destined for great things. Only for his short life to be snuffed out by someone of his own sect. Where are the limits of this youth's morals?

"I don't care about your status. You're just a cold-blooded murderer who will only bring our sect into disrepute. Your talent has only corrupted you and from the actions, I have seen your chest bares no heart. " He uttered out loud for all to hear.

Taf on the other hand acted as though it was on the buzzing of mosquitos in his ear. He already knew the consequences of his action and still choose the coa.r.s.e he did.

That being the case he was ready for anything thrown at him. Including person who had an opinion of his action. With his decision, a bracelet clattered on the ground and soon he felt a presence beside him. 

"You're not usually so hot-tempered. Is it that somehow the devil or beast qi influenced your perception? You knew I was in no harm and would have easily put him in his place."

May inquired while speaking to Taf telepathically using her s.p.a.ce stone as a medium. She too discarded the bracelet as this was how things now stood. Her actions were Taf's and his, hers.

Hearing her words Taf could only smile. In all that unfolded all she worried about was if he was fine internally,

"No, it was all me. Anyone who tries to malicious harm you dies an excruciating death and I make no exception. This my modus and will forever be as I have etched it on my soul."

Though this perhaps was the most unromantic moment with s.h.i.+noda's body splattered all over May could not help but feel a warmth in her heart.[1]

"Well that being the case let's face it together."

[1] I can't wait to write these two when they are as strong as G.o.ds. I could just imagine them walking through a sea of corpses holding hands thinking it is the most romantic thing ever. Sigh morbid huh?
