Sword's Soul!

Boba did not hesitate; he took the initiative to attack. The silver rapier in his hand glowed in white. Although Udil was still a few body units from him, the latter was not completely limited to close-ranged attacks.

The Divine Swordsman diagonally slashed his sharp-pointed sword in the air before him. Suddenly, a flash of white shockwave shot out and sliced towards Udil's position.

Roll!

Due to the vast distance between the two, Al easily dodged the skill that was released by the swordsman. However, Boba did not lose heart. His main goal was achieved.

Boom!

The attack caused a ruckus as it destroyed the stacks of tombstones.

Lunge!

The Divine Swordsman's figure suddenly flickered. He instantly appeared in the previous position of Udil.

"I can hear you!" JanuaryEmbers grinned as he sent a message in their team chat. "I'm heading towards your location!"

Boba's scheme was simple - in a quiet maze, the sound is the best compa.s.s!

Al immediately discovered the goal of the swordsman. The latter was not looking for a fight; he was just rescuing the mage! However, he did not mind as he dashed forward towards his teammates. If he chose to stay and tangle with the swordsman, he'd be in trouble, once Embers arrived.

He was slowly learning how to play properly - to win; one must be deliberate, not desperate. The boy still lacked in wisdom and battle awareness; that's why his previous gaming profile was subpar.

Strike without mercy if necessary, but learn when to fall back, so you could live to fight another battle! It was the unspoken rule in War Grounds.

Boba did not mind the retreating Udil. He kept on slas.h.i.+ng the nearby tombstones, creating a consistent source of sound for Embers to follow.

Meanwhile, the three players that came from the right lane have finally arrived. Each one joined their respective teams in fending off the corpses that kept on sp.a.w.ning from the ground and nearby tombstones.

"d.a.m.n! These zombies are getting into my nerves! Is there no end to this?" Pilades grumbled.

"Haha! Come on, dude. This is nothing against the modules that the trainer had prepared for us." Zhahk responded, his daggers gleaming under the dark skyline as they flawlessly beheaded the attacking corpses.

[Closing left and right lanes in five...four...three...]

The system pop-up warned.

"They're here!" Pilades grinned as he saw Boba and JanuaryEmbers, barely escaping from the enclosing dome of black smoke.

"Sorry!" The nearing Embers apologized for the delay he had caused as he shot fireb.a.l.l.s that rained on the corpses that were surrounding Zaito, and the other two. All of the members of Burning Orient was finally regrouped.

WisDOOM's members were also complete. The final showdown was about to start.

The Grim Reaper stood between the two teams.

"What's the plan?" Macca, the team leader of WisDOOM, was at a loss. He was getting tired of firing arrows against the countless corpses. CancerIsLife was also having a hard time in maintaining their HP as most of his mana was already spent in restoring the reckless, Papa Bear.

"We kill the Grim Reaper." Al simply replied.

"Haha! Bring it on! I'm getting bored against these small skulls!" Papa Bear cheered on.

"The two of you are really naive! Do you really think that the other side will just watch us as we attack that monster?" CancerIsLife reb.u.t.ted.

"Of course not! They'll join the attacks too! After all, no one would let this opportunity go! It's a black-colored weapon that we're talking about!" Al supplemented his proposal.

"Sounds fair." Macca grinned.

"Papa Bear, take care of CancerIsLife and these little zombies. Let's wait for them to take the aggro." Al advised as he shot a look on the other side. "Here, they come."

Although the corpses were sluggish in their movements, each of their attacks dealt 5% True Damage. One could not wholly avoid these creatures due to their increasing numbers.

"We need to take down that monster immediately! If the other side joins the fray, find the chance to strike them." Zaito instructed.

"But, if we kill them now, we'll lose the chance of getting a black-labeled weapon." Pilades reminded.

"We'll see how it goes. Let's start. Time your trump cards, properly!" Zaito held his wand with both hands. One could see thin traces of silver aura flowing from the shaft - a crafted weapon!

Magic World!

Rainbow powder suddenly shot out of the tip of Zaito's Wand. He kept on conjuring until there were two copies of each of their members, including himself - an additional ten members to their team!

"What the...! More skulls again!?" Papa Bear growled as he saw what had happened on the other side.

The first batch of the five illusions helped in clearing the attacking corpses, while the other five charged towards the Grim Reaper.

"Fools! Do you really intend to die with the fireflies?!" The ma.s.sive figure of the Grim Reaper loomed over the charging illusions.

Slice!

Grim Reaper waived his scythe horizontally, slicing those who were intending to attack him. However, the five illusions effortlessly dodged the attack.

"What a powerful skill! These illusions could move on their own!" Macca gasped.

"Pilades! Begin!" Zaito commanded, his mana points were running low.

"Leave it to me!" The Divine Vanguard joined the attack, Boba and Zhahk followed from behind, while JanuaryEmbers was casting a skill.

"Come, we'll join too!" Udil grinned. He was excited!

"Be careful!" Pat reminded.

s.h.i.+eld's Call!

The two spiky bucklers of Pilades increased in size as one of his illusions joined him in casting the same spell.

Four yellow light beams from the ma.s.sive bucklers shot toward Grim Reaper. It was an aggro-stabilizer skill.

Ooooaaarrrghh!

Grim Reaper bellowed as he effortlessly sliced the light beams.

"What! It was useless?" Pilades was caught off guard, as black coils of smoke from the Grim Reaper, suddenly shot toward him.

Boom!

The illusion took the brunt of the attack, saving the real Pilades. Without putting a proper fight, the conjured image of Pilades instantly vanished.

All illusions created by Magic World contained twenty percent of the original player's attributes.

"Avoid getting hit at all costs!" Zaito reminded. Just one of those coils of smoke could take down at least 20% HP of their group's st.u.r.diest member.

"Let's see how high is this monster's defense!" JanuaryEmbers confidently grinned as he finished his casting.

Fire Dance!

He was a fire-oriented mage.

Giant swirls of red flames shot out of Ember's pestle-like staff, which immediately devoured the ma.s.sive Grim Reaper.

-1%

"What the....! That monster's magic resistance is too high!" Embers could not believe it! 'Fire Dance' was his strongest skill.

"The same case might not be true about its physical defense! Although it's a monster from the Undead Race, let's see if it has invulnerability against physical attacks. Pilades, find an opening for Boba and Zhahk!" Zaito advised.

Piston Lungs!

Devil's Tongue!

-7%

Grim Reaper's HP suddenly decreased by a visible chunk.

'Huh? Who caused that?' Boba wondered. He and Zhahk were just about to attack.
