As the throwing knife that Miya have thrown earlier flew towards Moonlight's direction, I hastily activated Telekinesis and lock-on to the throwing knife and like really grabbing it in the air. To avoid it hitting on Moonlight, I controlled it and slammed it to the ground. I saw Moonlight trembled in fear. With her body still under the control of the chief, the throwing knife that she can easily dodge is now something she can't defend right now. I didn't let the knife go to waste. Once more, I controlled the knife and throws it to one of the elf guards attacking us. It was a precise hit and it contains a bit of force, so when I send the knife to the guard, the knife burrowed straight to his chest and ended up killing the unlucky receiver.

"Let's attack! We can't defeat the chief if the guardsmen keep on blocking our attacks!" Leto shouted.

Everyone nodded except Miya who seems to have experienced a breakdown. Although I want to console her this time, I can't do it because I have to save Moonlight first. I saw the chief click his tongue when I managed to get near him, backed up with Moonlight, Maple and Leto. The elf guards remained to stall for time for the chief to escape.

"Don't let that guy escape our sight!" Maple shouted as she kicked one of the elf guards on his jaw.

I gritted my teeth as I controlled the knife as fast as possible which would be stabbing enemies again and again. It's quite hard to deal with but I managed to quickly defeat the guards without any problem but with my exceeded use of mana, I am weakening at the moment and would be in need of moderate mana usage.

The battle lasts for at least an hour before the battle ended with the elf guards dead. I huff in exhaustion after the battle. It was quite hard and dangerous for me to do so because the limit of my mana is almost there and if I used another spell, this mana I have left would get drained. The lively camp of elves turned deathly quiet after the battle, leaving only corpses of the elf guards on its wake.

The civilian elves were now on the hiding and the whole village is already similar to a raided town. I sighed in despair. We ended up doing things like this without considering the innocent lives that got caught up in this mess. I hold Moonlight's hands. They are still warm but she is getting pale. Her wounds are also a bit bad too in which, all of them are my fault. The burn marks are excessive which makes me feel so cruel due to this.

"I'm sorry about this Moonlight. I didn't mean to hurt you at all."

Moonlight looked at me and smiled.

"No worries Kazuma. You still did well. These injuries won't last forever," Moonlight said.

I still feel guilty about what happened. I can't believe that I let Moonlight fall into a trap that made her get endangered. Since Moonlight's injury is quite a lot, she needs to return to the ruins and recuperate in there. Of course, she is escorted by Maple and Leto to avoid enemies that might attack them in the middle of the night while the rest will go and attack.

After Maple and Leto left in the middle of the night, only Miya, Catmod and I are left behind. Miya is still the same with her blank expression. It looks like she had taken a direct hit from the revelation of the chief. Her emotions are in turmoil and she had no more sense of what is going on. One thing to do is to snap her out of her trance and give her a slap to return to reality but before I could give her a wake-up slap, Catmod stopped me as he tapped me in my shoulder.
