Dragon's Heart 17 Chapter 17: Witness The Next Level, Dragonic Surge

The two immediately resumed their battle after they transformed. Clashes after clashes, they fought each other. The thing is that they're fighting not because they don't like each other, it's just Dragonkin nature. Of the Dragonkin race, they're divided into elements. Since most elements have opposites, so does the Dragonkin. Fire and Ice, Earth and Wind, Dark and Light, Water and Lightning are some examples. Because of this, if any Dragonkin meet their opposite, they'll have this natural dislike for each other. Jasper, flies back and shouts, "come on, you hit like my grandma". Takeo appeared beside him and said, "then take this!". Takeo shouted, "Blazing Dragon Rapid-Fire Talon!!" and barraged Jasper with a flurry of fiery kicks. "And Blazing Dragon Battle-axe Talon!!" he shouted as he finished his combo with a blazing drop kick. This sent Jasper head-first into the ground.

Jasper spit out some blood and laughed. "At least you're making this enjoyable", he said as he got up. Jasper looked up at Takeo and said, "Glacier Dragon Ice Spike". Jasper stomped the ground and a bunch of ice spikes shot up from the ground. Takeo used Blazing Dragon Demolition Claw and destroyed all the ice spikes. Jasper then jumped up and said, "Glacier Dragon Crystallized Missiles". He raised both his hands forward and, out of his palms, shot multiple ice bullets that homed in on Takeo. Takeo flew away to avoid them. Takeo performed multiple aerial maneuvers, dodging the missiles each time they came close to hitting him. He flew higher into the clouds, down low to the ground, and around in circles. Eventually they all got destroyed because they flew into things.

Takeo landed with a slide and shouted, "Blazing Dragon Blasting Roar!!". Takeo fired the trademark Dragonkin attack. This time his Blasting Roar was more concentrated than back when he fought Bahamut. Jasper clasped his hands together and slammed them on the ground. He then shouted, "Glacier Dragon Mirror Ice!!". The blast hit the wall of reflective ice and got shot back at Takeo. "Hm?", Takeo said in a bit of surprise. The blast hit Takeo and exploded. Nina shouted, "Takeo!!". But, through the dust and smoke, Takeo stood, uninjured, with his hand held out in front of him. He had blocked the rebounded blast with his hand. "Hmph, you think I can't stop my own attack?!", proclaimed Takeo. Jasper smiled and said, "so, we're pretty even...for now". Takeo looked at him with confusion. Jasper then began to glow and ice swirled around him.

Jasper's horns grew a second smaller pair of horns. His icy scales along his arms and legs changed to a icy gauntlets and greaves. His wings began to emit icy air. "What do you think of this level, the Dragonic Surge state?". Takeo smirked and said, "oh good, I thought it was something that was super threatening". Takeo looked at Jasper and proclaimed, "you're not the only one who unlocked that level". After making that statement, Takeo began to glow as well. Like Jasper, his horns grew a smaller pair of horns attached to them. His scales began to stick up like spikes and they turned a burnt color. Takeo had flames spewing off of him constantly and his wings emitted fiery embers.
