Xiu Mei stretched her stiff body and walked out of the lab. On reaching the living room, she saw a frantic green monster, pacing around the living room with a dark expression. In the corner, Aunt Mary and Butler Tom were scrunched, with head lowered and pressed lips.

"I'm asking you one last time where is Mei? If you don't tell....." He turns around at a lightning speed and stride like a hungry monster towards her helpers. But stopped seeing Xiu Mei standing in between them, with her hands crossed and raised brows.

Within a second the green hulk monster was back to human form, his expression softened accompanying with a smile of relief on face. "Mei…" He was about to take her in his arms when she turned around to look at her helpers. "Aunt Mary I'm hungry… What's for dinner? Uncle Tom, please set up the dinner fast" saying she went back to her room without sparing another look at Jianyu.

"Y-Yes Miss…" they both left the living room hastily, away from the scary master of theirs.

XIU MEI's BEDROOM

She was standing facing large floor to the ceiling gla.s.s pane, looking at the sunset, when a strong hand hugged her from behind and pulled her back. She collided in a rock like a wall, apparently, that was Jianyu's chest.

Neither she tried to break free from his warm embrace and nor she spoke anything. Giving silent treatment is the best technique that she had mastered. And any man would rather prefer to take a beating from his beloved than this silent treatment.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, resting his chin on her shoulder while tightly embracing her in his arms. He knows his behavior in the parking lot was that of a possessive lover, but when it comes to her, all his hidden insecurities sprouts out instantly. Probably their relations.h.i.+p has just started, he doesn't want any other man to come near her and try to s.n.a.t.c.h her from him.
