Xin Mei looked at Su Yuchen and her eyes again got filled with tears. Heart of Su Yuchen pained when he saw her in this condition.

He glared at Li Nian who dared to open his big mouth in front of an already emotional Xin Mei.

"Love, please calm down. It was an accident. Who would dare to kill your husband? It will be a suicide attempt. Now stop crying." 

Su Yuchen rocked her in his arm and coaxed her lightly. He gently whispered sweet nothings in her ears to calm her down. She was continuously murmuring murder and death.

Su Yuchen sighed when he saw Huang Chu and the head of his security, Ji Si. He quickly signalled to Huang Chu.

"Boss, we have completed our investigations. We have found that it was an accident. The driver was drunk, and he didn't have any control over his car."

"Are you saying the truth?"

Xin Mei calmed down when she heard Huang Chu.

"Yes, missus. Our report is absolute true."

Xin Mei sighed and the next second, she started to scold the driver. "Why do people drink and drive? They don't care about their health and safety, also they don't care about the safety of others. Such people should go to h.e.l.l. They should be banned from the country, no not from the country, but from the whole world."

Xin Mei was continuously scolding and cursing the driver. She also became violent and started to kick an imaginary driver who dared to drive his car towards her husband.

Su Yuchen hugged Xin Mei to calm her down when his eyes clashed with Huang Chu. Huang Chu sighed and negatively shook his head. 

Eyes of Su Yuchen became dark at the confirmation that indeed someone had planned to kill him!

Su Yuchen took Xin Mei to his hotel. He asked w.a.n.g Wei to arrange some fresh clothes for Xin Mei. He took her to his room where he let her have a hot bath in a tub.

He was afraid that she would fall sick because she had soaked in rainwater for a long time.

"Mei are you feeling good now?" he asked with concern and looked at her face.

"I am feeling good, Yuchen." She smiled softly and again looked at his injured shoulder. "And how are you feeling?"

"Very good. This injury is nothing for me." He smiled back. "Now can I join you in the bath?"

Without saying anything, Xin Mei made some s.p.a.ce for him in the bathtub which could easily accommodate five people.

Su Yuchen smiled and removed his dress. He entered inside the bathtub and pulled Xin Mei on his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his head on her shoulder and started to whiff her familiar fragrance.

The feeling of reunion hit both hard. Both became emotional and their hearts started to beat fast in the same rhythm. Happiness filled in their hearts.

Su Yuchen intertwined his fingers with hers and looked at her with warm eyes. There were many indescribable feelings in his heart.

"Oh, Mei, I have missed you badly. I am feeling like I am at home after having you in my arms." He breathed against her hair.

"Yuchen, I have missed you too." Xin Mei turned in his lap and looked at him with various emotions filled in her eyes. She gently caressed his cheek to again make her heart calm that he was truly in front of her.

"I was so afraid when I heard the loud bang and when the line went dead…I thought…I thought you died…" Her heart turned heavy but the next second, she smiled. "But I am happy that nothing happened to you."

"Mei, I am not going to die easily. My enemies will die before me. I am going to live a long life with you. I will turn old with white hairs, a big pair of gla.s.ses in front of my eyes and will have a mouth without teeth, and you will be still the same, my beautiful Mei."

Xin Mei smiled when she heard him. She laid herself on his chest and closed her eyes, feeling his heartbeat. She was feeling calmed that he was alright, and her dream was just only a dream.

Su Yuchen smiled when he saw this calm smile on her face. He gently applied soap on her body and washed her clean. He also cleaned her face and made it tear marks free.

"Mei, wake up." He gently shook Xin Mei who has dozed off in his arm.

"Amm....hmm," she mumbled groggily and opened her eyes. She looked at Su Yuchen who helped her in standing up. Su Yuchen rubbed her body with a towel and helped her to the bedroom.

Su Yuchen felt bad that he had to wake her up, but he didn't have another option. His shoulder was injured, and he didn't wish to take the risk of carrying her in his arms.

He helped her in laying down on the bed. The moment her head touched the pillow, she was again asleep due to tiredness.

Su Yuchen smiled when he saw how care freely she was sleeping. He ma.s.saged her head gently and then made his way towards the window. He pulled down the blinds to make the room dark.

That day, Xin Mei had a beautiful dream of her life. She saw old her and Su Yuchen. 

She saw they were of the age of eighty or more. Both were sitting on a swing and were watching a big family. The family was laughing and smiling at one another.

"Chen, thank you for giving me everything."

Xin Mei smiled and placed her head on the chest of Su Yuchen. She chuckled and teasingly placed her hand over his grown belly.

"Chen, when are you giving birth to another baby?"

"Mei, you should stop teasing me now. My overgrown belly is all thanks to the delicious food cooked by you. So, stop teasing me. I may be old, but I can still punish you." Su Yuchen warned her in an angry voice.

And the very next second, he coughed loud and denture of his teeth came out of his mouth which made Xin Mei chuckle.

Su Yuchen smiled when he saw the mesmerizing smile on the lips of Xin Mei who was sleeping peacefully. He was also tired, so, he climbed on the bed and laid over it before falling asleep with his wife.
