Nothing happened so far as the blood of the pure-blood Sacred Devourer Ghoul was required. Thus Lucien congealed the kagune dagger and cut his hand and dripped several drops of his blood onto the mechanism. Only then the mechanism started working and glowing in the blue light, similar in color with that crystal.

So even though the Washuu Clan found the Ancestral Shrine, they weren't able to access it and open the door. They didn't even have a seal of the s.h.i.+ Xue Clan, that served as the key and they weren't pure-blooded ghouls either. Maybe they would try to open it with explosives or something, but who knows. Lucien though even those weapons that he obtained would cause problems if they fell into hands of the Washuu Clan and the Vasuki.

Lucien stepped away and let to huge stone door to open. They were opening slowly and it took some time for the door to fully open. After they opened, Lucien entered the place and there were two altars in the small room.

The entire room was dark and only light were generating those blue crystal, creating a very subtle atmosphere here. Altars were carved in simple architecture, without any decorations or something, just a plain stone and that's all.

On one altar was book laying. Lucien went to that altar and looked at that book. It was t.i.tled as "Eight Celestial Inner Gates". Lucien almost fainted from this, because he knew that technique. This technique wasn't something rare and it could be said that it was well known in the multiverse. Its only flaw was that it had extremely harsh requirements of the body of the pract.i.tioner. To open the first gate one must have Baron-ranked body, Middle-Grade. In Lucien's case, it means at least Kakuja V2 and RC Level of 50,000 to be precise.

Eight Celestial Inner Gate is a technique about opening Eight Gate in the human body. It was a supplementary technique as it gave a pa.s.sive effect for each gate opened. There were:

The Gate of Opening, when opened it would enhance reflexes of cultivator to the inhuman amount and gave better control of the body. It was the basic gate which was located at the brain. Enhancing reflexes was a very good thing for every cultivator because they could react much faster. This gate of the Eight Celestial Inner Gates is the beginning of the cultivation of this technique and the Gate of Opening is one of the most important ones because everything is starting with this gate.

The Gate of Healing, located also in the brain, when opened allows energies to have better flow in the body and also greatly enhances the regeneration of the body. With this, Lucien could achieve such terrifying healing abilities like Noro and even more. One must know, even when they severed Noro's head, he could still regenerate it and it was the same as before.

The Gate of Life, located ion the spinal cord, increasing blood flow and enhancing the function of inner organs, and also strengthening inner organs. Better immunity against diseases and poisons. Most notable is the increase of Life Force.

The Gate of Pain, located on the spinal cord, increase in resistance against the physical pain to a great extent. Also could prevent pa.s.sing out when exposed the great physical pain.

There was a hidden secret library, behind normal one, for very important and rare books. But even though he had it, he thought that putting it in the vault would be more appropriate.

And finally, next thing here was, of course, the Sacred Blood Crystal. It looked rather ordinary, like any other crystal, it was just in blood red color and it was constantly releasing a b.l.o.o.d.y aura of slaughter and blood. Crystal was now its so-called sealed state.

After storing both these items he continued to search this room for some other things. But unfortunately, only things here were the Eight Celestial Inner Gates technique and the Sacred Blood Crystal. Besides them this room was empty.

After searching through entire room several times, Lucien decided to go away and once more explore the underground region. There were still many buildings where he wasn't and there could be something valuable for him.

He exited the Ancestral Shrine and when he was at the entrance to the shrine itself, he bowed slightly, paying respect to ancestors of his race, that fell in the battle and betrayal by the Washuu Clan.

Lucien then walked away from the fortification and searched for some buildings. He mainly found some houses which served as housing s.p.a.ce for people. In these houses, there weren't many valuable things, almost nothing that had any use.

After some time, he was very happy because he found a big building. But when he entered he was utterly disappointed as this was some medical ward combined with a place for storing medicine. After exploring the rest of this place and getting to know that nothing valuable is here, he decided to leave.
