He refined those B-rated and rated ghoul at first because they were weakest. They were around three hundred of them, Lucien didn't count them as it was too bothersome to do something so annoying.

As all of this blood essences would be used for Devourification, he didn't keep them and stored them in a special place. From all these ghouls he obtained around one hundred blood essences. Then he moved forward and started refining bodies of Vasuki agents. They were much stronger and were more potent compared to those mercenaries. They even gave more blood essences compared to their numbers. Almost eighty blood essences. This was a huge number as agents of Vasuki numbered in tens, maybe they were only a hundred altogether.

And finally members of the Washuu Clan. Lucien refined their bodies separately because they had extremely high RC Level compared to other ghouls. Each of them had RC Level of 10,000 with ease. Each of these blood essences was extremely potent.

And finally, the main dish was the corpse of the Grand Elder of the Washuu Clan, Washuu Tsunekas.h.i.+. Lucien refined his corpse and obtained blood essence, from whose he could even feel that overwhelming amount of Red Children Cells.

He took out several others blood essences, some were refined from demons, his last ones and some were found in the Ancestral Site of the s.h.i.+ Xue Clan. He was going to rise his RC Level, to match requirements for cultivation of the Eight Celestial Inner Gates.

When he ate all those blood essences he could feel his RC Level increasing at a terrifying rate but at the same time, his foundation was still firm and st.u.r.dy because he took other blood essences as compensation. After some time of digestion, he felt that he reached the required RC Level for the cultivation of the Eight Celestial Inner Gates.

He moved to his personal cultivation s.p.a.ce and started reading the first part of the Eight Celestial Inner Gates, describing how to open The Gate of Opening. This version of the Eight Celestial Inner Gates was adapted to the Sacred Devourer Ghoul race and he could use his Red Children Cells to open the gates. Of course, he could also use his Psionic Energy to do that, but as he was the Sacred Devourer Ghoul, using his Red Children Cells would be more effective.

He followed the description and started to circulation his Red Children Cells in a manner that technique was describing. Then after acc.u.mulating enough Red Children Cells, he directed them to attack the one point in his brain which was, of course, The Gate of Opening.

He attacked The Gate of Opening with all Red Children Cells available and the gate slowly opened. When the Gate of Opening fully opened, Lucien felt like his brain was going to explode as every neuron was connecting to each other and his brain was evolving at a terrifying speed. As something similar already happened in the past, when he awakened his Psionic Powers, he was able to retain consciousness.

When the Gate of Opening was finally fully opened, he immediately felt changes. Everything was much more clear to him and when he focused he could see several kilometers in distance or hear something from the same distance. Even when he wasn't focusing, his eyesight improved greatly.

Lucien then opened his record to see complete changes what happened. Looking at the record of the cultivator was the best way to tell his exact strength, cultivation and combat prowess.
