He was sweating a bit as his eyes were locked on the entrance of the hospital, clearly expecting the arrival of a very esteemed guest. He has been waiting for more than an hour and the more time pa.s.sed, the more nervous he became.
At last, the guest arrived, it was a red-haired woman who was wearing sungla.s.ses and nonchalantly dragging a suitcase. The first place she headed to was this hospital, she didn't even bother taking her luggage to her hotel room.
The moment he spotted her, Tom and several doctors behind him went to greet her and guide her. She was a very famous doctor and is known worldwide, furthermore, she's the only student of Dr. Galen. It is said that her talent exceeds his and she come up with several cures to ancient diseases which not only increased her popularity but also saved thousands of lives.
"Dr. Scarlett! It's such a pleasure to have you here."
He, and the others bowed toward the blue-eyed woman who glanced at them and said:
"Where's teacher's office?"
While still rubbing his hands, Tom quickly replied
"Yes yes, please follow me, I will guide to his office."
Scarlett didn't seem interested in greeting the eager doctors or even conversing with them. She silently followed Tom, wanting to know more about the mysteries revolving around her deceased teacher.
Dr. Galen died of a heart attack but he strangely left three letters as if he knew he'll die soon. Very soon, Scarlett was guided to Galen's office, which was organized and bigger than any other office in the hospital. Except for his body and the letters, nothing was touched so Scarlett immediately started searching for a clue, after kicking everyone else out of the room, of course.
While the other doctors resumed their work, Tom stood before Galen's office and patiently waited for Scarlett to come out. If she has a favorable impression of him, it'll bring countless benefits to him and the hospital.
Inside the slightly dusty room, Scarlett searched every nook and cranny but found nothing of interest. She wanted to know what her teacher was doing here but it won't be an easy task.
After fifteen minutes, she angrily stormed out of the room only to find Tom waiting for her. She pondered for a moment before asking him:
"Did teacher leave anything?"
"ah yes, letters were found on the desk near his body."
Scarlett, who was unaware of this, frowned and snapped at Tom
"And you tell me this NOW?"
Shaking, Tom wiped the invisible cold sweat off his forehead while replying with an unsteady voice:
"I-I've informed your s-secretary…"
"Then how I come I only hear of this now?!"
In fact, Tom really informed Scarlett's secretary, but it was that secretary who purposely hid it from her to keep her from coming here. Although he took all the blame, Tom didn't dare talk back to the angry woman and merely dropped his head.
"Where are the letters?!"
"I-I'll bring them r-right away!"
As if he was pardoned, Tom swiftly left toward his office. As for Scarlett, she let out a sigh while feeling slightly anxious. Since Galen left letters, one of them is surely for her. She felt hesitant and part of her didn't want to read it.
In less than five minutes, Tom, sweating profusely, came running from the other end of the hallway with two letters in hand.
He panted heavily while handing her the two letters. She inspected them while asking again
"Did he only leave two letters?"
Still taking deep breaths, Tom replied:
"No *huff* he left three and one of them was already delivered."
"Delivered? To whom?"
Tom felt pressured, not knowing where to answer truthfully or not.
"D-dr. Scarlett… I'm afraid that's confidential."
In response, the woman raised a brow and glared at him, making him feel even more restless.
"S-sorry, Dr. Galen specifically told me to not tell anyone."
"Teach did?"
"Yes yes!"
"Alright…"
She waved her hand dismissively and entered the office again.

This morning, while the family was eating breakfast, the atmosphere was quite heavy and a bit suffocating. Only Mina was nonchalantly eating the delicious food presented to her.
Angelica took care of her yesterday and even provided her with one of the empty guest rooms. The room not only had small fridges filled with all types of drinks, but there were also a lot of snacks and fruits on the tables. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy, to say the least.
It was a heavenly place for Mina, who's used to sleep on the cold and hard ground and only cover herself with a thin blanket. The first thing the little girl did was look for her big brother and were it not for the madam, who told her that her Bin is working, Mina wouldn't have stopped calling for him.
Jasmine, whose eyes looked horrible and her hair was messy, didn't touch her plate and only stared back at the calm Angelica. Theodore, Angelica's husband, was absent-minded as he gazed between his wife and the unfamiliar little girl happily enjoying the morning meal.
"Isn't she a lovely kid?"
Angelica smiled while talking to him. Theodore looked like a strict father but he was quite a doting parent and never raised a hand against his wife or his daughter. He loved them both dearly and always provided Jasmine with whatever she needed.
He only acts strictly from time to time so that his daughter doesn't get overly-spoiled, though it's a bit too late to behave like that since Jasmine's character is rotten to the core, or so thinks Bin.
In response to his wife's words, Theodore coughed a few times and turned his away, choosing to keep his silence. As for Jasmine, she very much wanted to ask her parents about Bin but couldn't since Mina was here.
She didn't want to worry the little girl, who's having such a great time. If she were to know that her brother is missing and is most likely injured, it'll be a huge shock that may even traumatize her.
A while later, the tuxedo-wearing Rock entered the manor with a bunch of doc.u.ments in his hand. Angelica took Mina for a walk around the garden while Jasmine and Theodore went to the living room along with the lawyer.
He presented a few doc.u.ments to the father while saying
"The blood found on the scene belongs to three people. The twin brothers and… Bin."
Hearing this, Jasmine's body slightly shook, she clenched her fists and asked

"Have you found him?"
Rock shook his head while saying
"He was spotted by some CCTVs but he didn't seem to be heading to a hospital, for some reason."
"What of the two brothers? Did any of them wake up?"-Theodore
Rock hesitated and glanced at Jasmine, not knowing whether to answer in her presence or not. Only when Theodore nodded to him did the lawyer talk.
"That's what's strange, both of them died. One of them had a failed surgery and died on the spot, which is acceptable but the other one, who wasn't in a serious condition, mysteriously died."
"If he mysteriously died then isn't the police or prosecution supposed to investigate? An autopsy or something."
Rock sat next to Jasmine and explained
"That's where it gets stranger. A distant relative of the two brothers said that he wanted their bodies cremated. His request was approved in less than a day… this is ludicrous!"
