Day after day, Lu AnLing would spend her time exploring her surroundings like a curious child and, when she wasn't at work, she was spending her time playing with Kang Mingyu.
He loved his auntie and so he tried his best to monopolize her affections while Kang Jun was away at work.
Lu AnLing felt that her relations.h.i.+p with Kang Jun had barely changed and she sometimes began to wonder if the man even liked her at all, but this thought quickly left her when the man would come home.
The first thing he would do was come and find Lu AnLing and Kang Mingyu. Before anything, he would go and hug Lu AnLing with all of his might, like a child who had been away from his parents for too long.
Feeling his warmth envelope her, Lu AnLing sank into Kang Jun and smiled.
"Welcome home."
Kang Jun kissed her on the cheek.
If there was something Lu AnLing had noticed, it was that Kang Jun liked physical contact. At first, because of what she had witnessed when others touched Kang Jun, she had tried her best not to touch him but this just caused the man to touch her more.
He would touch her cheek. He would hug her. He would kiss her neck.
The intimate touches made Lu AnLing's mind blank and she would allow the man to have his wicked way with her but he wouldn't go all the way.
Since the day they had gotten married, Lu AnLing and Kang Jun hadn't had the time to have s.e.x and for some reason, after tasting the pleasures, Lu AnLing began to crave it. Though, Kang Jun didn't seem like he was going to instigate anything anytime soon.
Feeling Lu AnLing's body heat up, Kang Jun let go of her and then he went to go pat Kang Mingyu's head
Lu AnLing checked the time. Seeing it was late, she poked Kang Jun on the shoulder. "I need to go soon."
Kang Jun's expression was cold but he nodded.
When Lu AnLing had first found out that Sheng was coming back from abroad she was pretty happy but at the moment, remembering her situation, Lu AnLing pinched the s.p.a.ce between her eyebrows.
"Mr. Kang…?" She had said.
Kang Jun gave her a frown. "Mmm"
"My friend is coming back from abroad and I promised him that I would find him a place to stay…"
Kang Jun could see where she was coming from. "Okay?"
"So can he live in the room I lived in at Hotel Helios? I promise he will pay rent!"
Kang Jun: "Of course, but... You've used up all your wishes miss Lu."
Lu AnLing pouted. "Didn't you say you would give me more wishes if I married you?"
"No. I said you could wish for more wishes if you became my wife."
Lu AnLing frowned. "Then I retract my previous wish. I want more wishes instead."
Kang Jun laughed.
"No returns, refunds or exchanges."
Seeing that his wife's face was beginning to darken considerably. He poked Lu AnLing on the forehead and said, "Whatever your heart desires I will make come true, my darling."
Hearing this Lu AnLing blushed horribly.
"So… who's this friend?"
When he asked, Lu AnLing told Kang Jun about her friend Sheng who had been one of her closest friends since high school.
"He's a man but you don't need to worry about anything happening between us. He's like a sister to me."
And Lu AnLing was like a brother for the boy.
Sheng and Lu AnLing barely ever saw each other as a member of the opposite s.e.x unless Sheng needed someone to shoo away his admirers.
"I understand," Kang Jun had said as he patted her head.
A part of Lu AnLing hoped that Kang Jun would be a bit jealous of Sheng but he didn't seem fazed at all. Noticing her strange thought, Lu AnLing was ashamed of herself.
Why in the h.e.l.l would she want her new husband to be jealous? Did she want her relations.h.i.+p to be ruined so quickly?
Even now, as she was about to walk out the door, the thought lingered a bit on Lu AnLing's mind.
When she had dated Yang Yize he had been slightly jealous over certain things Sheng had done and Lu AnLing believed this to be normal because of the romance comics she'd read and drama's she'd watched, though, maybe it wasn't…
Maybe an adult acted more calmly like Kang Jun was doing.
She wasn't sure, but the thought quickly disappeared when she felt a warm kiss on her cheek.
Kang Jun: "I'm sending Rong Xin to watch you."
Lu AnLing didn't argue.
There was something she wanted to say to the man but before she could speak, her phone began to ring.
Seeing the caller ID she c.o.c.ked her head curiously before she answered.
Sheng: "Where are you?"
Lu AnLing: "…Home?"
"Come and pick me up," His voice was commanding but also slightly nervous.
Lu AnLing: "Why?!"
The line was quiet for a moment.
Lu AnLing wore a frown on her face and it gradually worsened the more Sheng didn't speak.
Sheng: "Do I have to say it?"
"Listen, you don't call me out of the blue to ask me to pick you up and not—" Lu AnLing scolded, but not wanting to hear anymore, Sheng cut her off.
"Okay! Okay! I get it, mom." Then there was a pause once more but this one didn't last long. "… I don't have enough money to pay a taxi…"
Lu AnLing sighed.
"Fine. I'll be there soon. You better pay me back for this."
"Bro, once you see the present's I brought for you, you'll be the one who owes me."
Lu AnLing: "Highly unlikely, sis."
Listening to their banter, Kang Jun's face was frigid making everyone who noticed, in the room, uncomfortable but then, a smile appeared on his lips.
He grabbed Lu AnLing by the waist causing the girl to suddenly jolt. Unwillingly, she let out a small yelp which alerted Sheng.
"Are you good? What happened."
Lu AnLing turned her head to starred at Kang Jun who held her tightly from behind.
She was silent.
Sheng: "h.e.l.lo? Lu AnLing, what's going on?"
Swallowing her spit, Lu AnLing, finally answered the boy.
"Nothing! Nothing at all… I'm heading out, I'll see you soon. Be ready to pay me back that cab fare."
Quickly, Lu AnLing hung up on Sheng.
Once she was finished with her conversation, Kang Jun wrapped his arms tighter around her and whispered in her ear.
"You don't need to pay the cab fare."
Lu AnLing thought she understood what the man meant, so she answered, "No, you're already doing so much for me. The least I can do is pay the cab fare…"
Hearing this, Kang Jun smiled and took her by the hand. He began to pull her slightly and led her away from the rest. Though, seeing this, they quickly followed behind.
Lu AnLing wondered where he was bringing her but she didn't resist him. She patiently let herself be dragged until she reached a mini parking garage.
Once inside, Lu AnLing's eyes widened.
There were so many cars. Some were brand new but the most of them were vintage ones that she had only seen in Sheng's magazines. If she wasn't mistaken, some of these cars were worth more than a billion…She couldn't believe she was witnessing this.
Not letting her stay in a stunned state, Kang Jun brought her all the way to the back where there was a car covered by a black cover. Kang Jun swiftly pulled it off and let the black fabric fall to the floor like a leaf.
Underneath it revealed a taxi.
Lu AnLing c.o.c.ked her head.
Kang Jun: "Rong Xin will be driving you in this."
Lu AnLing: "Oh…"
Hearing his name being called, Rong Xin ran towards them. Seeing the taxi Rong Xin tried his best to hold back a frown. The car was an exact replica of a taxi with the exception that Kang Jun had had it modified and strengthened.
'Wasn't this illegal?' Rong Xin wanted to ask, but instead, he kept his mouth shut.
Kang Jun repeated what he had said to Lu AnLing to Rong Xin who obeyed the man.
Both Lu AnLing and Rong Xin were about to hop in the car but seeing this, Kang Mingyu frowned before he ran to hold onto Lu AnLing's leg.
