I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 135 - Confidence

As she went home that night, her mind had been thinking of what Risa had told her in the afternoon.

"Don't you think you need to prepare yourself, Yan Yan? Physically and mentally? It's going to be your first vacation with a man afterall. And I am not counting that jerk ex husband or yours, alright? Grandma and I do not even acknowledge him!"

Ever since Risa threw that questions at her, Shao Yan had lost all of her focus for the rest of the day.

She decided to leave home early, and bought a take-out food for dinner.

During these few days of being apart, they had few phone calls as they were both so busy. However, Li Xiqing would still send her text messages every now and then to check if she has eaten.

Just like what he had sent her about an hour ago.

'I will be in a business dinner until late. You just go to sleep first, don't wait for my calls. Have you eaten?'

Shao Yan glanced at the time on the corner of her phone, while thinking, 'Shanghai is one hour behind j.a.pan, so it should be around eight for him.' Her fingers hovered around her phone screen, thinking of what she should send as a reply.

She kept typing and deleting her words, and finally decided on, 'I just saw your message, and I am eating now. Don't worry about me, just focus on your meeting. Fighting!'

Satisfied with her own replies, Shao Yan put her phone back down, before she reached out to the take-out box to start eating. But few seconds later, she picked up her phone again, and quickly typed, 'I miss you. Don't forget your meals!'

And then she locked her phone back, and picked up her chopsticks to start eating. The whole time, Shao Yan had a slight curve on her lips, as she enjoyed her food while still smiling so cheerfully.

After she had eaten her dinner, Shao Yan quickly went to take a shower. When she stepped out, her eyes suddenly went to the tall mirror next to the cabinet. Her head was tilted to the side as she contemplated her next action.

Shao Yan decided to walk over. She stood in front of it, with her whole body was still unclothed. She slowly moved her eye sight, tracing her own figure. Starting from her face, to her b.r.e.a.s.t.s, her tummy, and down to her precious part.

What Risa had said to her in the afternoon started to echo in her mind again. 

Shao Yan felt a little hesitant. She could see her own confused face as her soft eyebrows knitted as she was feeling puzzled.

She was not the prettiest woman in the world, but she could tell that Li Xiqing adored her. Sincerely.

Her hands slowly cupped her own b.r.e.a.s.t.s. And then Shao Yan turned to the side to look at her b.u.t.t. She did not have the best figure either. But they had been intimate many times, and each time, she had always succesfully made Li Xiqing excited; hard and longing for her touch.

'He never complained about my body either, I should not think too much.' Shao Yan tried to bring out her own confidence.

'Maybe tomorrow, I'll go and have a haircut, and maybe some other skin treatments. No harm in pampering myself a little, anyway,' Shao Yan thought inwardly as she grabbed a lock of her hair and weighed them on her palm.

After a few moment, Shao Yan felt her energy was back. She walked over to her vanity table, and started to lather milky body lotion all over her body.

The weather was amazing. Shao Yan could see bright blue sky as her plane touch the concrete runways.

"Welcome to Narita International Airport. The local time is 10:15 AM. Current temperature is 20 Celcius degrees with forecast of a lot of sun and slight breezy wind. We will be taxing for a few minutes before we go to the gate..."

Shao Yan stopped listening to the cabin announcement as she was getting distracted with the people around her who was getting anxious to get out of the plane.

At the same time, she was trying to remember what Li Xiqing had told her over the phone last night.

"I will be waiting for you right outside the Arrival Terminal, don't worry, alright? After you come out, we'll have to take a train right away, so try not to be delayed."

Shao Yan checked all her seat and surrounding, she made sure there was nothing that she would accidentally leave behind.

As the cabin crews allowed the pa.s.sengers to alight, Shao Yan followed the crowd and started to walk out as well.

He saw Yan Yan right away. It's only been a few days, but he had been missing her so much.

He had been used to sleeping while hugging her in his embrace. He had felt so empty without her.

And now, his light had re-emerged in his life.

Upon seeing her, Li Xiqing could feel his heart squeezed. His Yan Yan looked so different. 'Did she have a haircut?' he thought to himself as he tried to recall his conversation over the past few days with her.

He had been really busy, trying to finish all of his meetings so he could have a peaceful vacation with Yan Yan. Li Xiqing felt slightly guilty as he thought Yan Yan could have told him about the haircut, but he forgot about it.

'But this new haircut really suited her', he thought, as she looked younger and more cheerful.

Unknowingly to him, his feature had softened down so much as his eyes followed her every move while she was walking towards him.

Upon seeing Li Xiqing, Shao Yan broke out into a very bright smile. Her face shone up and her lips curved so beautifully. She very much wanted to run to him and just gave him a hug.

Her soft, slight wavy hair bounced as she walked towards him. Her happy aura indirectly affected the people around her, drawing the attention of those who were standing at the side; waiting to welcome their loved ones.
