"Alright now".

Shao Yan decided to stop Lee Ying and Wenhai's argument.

Shao Yan looked at Lee Ying, "Xiao Ying, can you go to the design department and look for Su Yimeng".

"I got the preliminary rundown from the event organizer this morning. I need Su Yimeng to come up with preliminary design for the invite."

Shao Yan typed in her phone and quickly sent out the email to Lee Ying.

"Wenhai, come with me to collect the architecture books from last month", she said that while typing her email.

"You can drive, I will need to go back to my desk to take the guide doc.u.ment, I will meet you downstairs."

Shao Yan kept giving instructions while they were walking back to their floor.

"Fan jie, Huo ge, I will leave the rest of the item from this morning meeting for you to take care".

Shao Yan turned around and looked at everyone, "Sounds good?"

Everyone nodded and started to move.

Inside the meeting room, President Huang and VP Zhuang were still talking to Li Xiqing and the others.

They were discussing to do a quick break. Some people suggested to go to a teahouse next door.

Gold Crane had set up one floor for AG international to sit while they worked on finalizing the acquisition process.

AG International had three physical offices: in country U, country G and country J.

But they had not set up anything here in this country yet.

They had been working out of floor 58 for few months now.

And this was how Li Xiqing was able to pay attention on Shao Yan ever since he first met her.

Ever since the first time Shao Yan had b.u.mped into him and knocked over his coffee, Li Xiqing had been seeing her face more frequently, everywhere in the Gold Crane building.

When Shao Yan was walking with her teammate for a meeting, he had happened to see her from afar.

Or when her group walked out of the office for lunch, Li Xiqing saw her from the coffee shop in the lobby.

Li Xiqing had been more conscious of her presence ever since he thought Shao Yan was attractive.

When Shao Yan was scolding an intern for a mistake that he made, that caused her to report a wrong number during a meeting, Li Xiqing was just walking out of a meeting room nearby, so he saw her again.

He began to notice more of her facial expression.

When Shao Yan was excited for lunch, her eyes sparkled.

Or when she was nervous when she ran around looking for people, Shao Yan had a slight frown on her forehead.

When she was happy during a discussion, Shao Yan had expressive, beautiful eyes.

When she was clearly upset during a meeting, but she had to stay professional, she went stiff but she kept her mind clear.

Li Xiqing became unconsciously started to search for her figure whenever he was visiting Gold Crane.

And he wanted to get to know her more.

Shao Yan went back to her desk and quickly grabbed the doc.u.ment that she needed for the printing house.

She was waiting for the elevator to go down to the lobby when Wenhai texted her to tell her he was already waiting in front of the lobby.

Shao Yan was typing a reply when the elevator door opened.

Shao Yan took a step forward and lifted her head.

She saw there were some people already inside the elevator, also heading to the lobby.

VP Zhuang, VP of finance Madam Mei, Li Xiqing, Karl, Martin, Head of Sales Mr. Hong and Cissy, the supposedly top sales person of Gold Crane.

She stopped on the spot.

What was this!

True enough.. When people said the more you wanted to avoid something, the more you would meet them!

Uhh.. Should she get in?

Shao Yan didn't want to be in the same elevator s.p.a.ce as these people.

Step forward? Or avoid?

Shao Yan stepped back from the elevator door, "All of you can go ahead, I will take the next one", finally she decided to avoid.

As the elevator door was going to close, Li Xiqing held the door open with his hand, "Shao Yan, get in."

All eyes were on her now. Shao Yan's face went pale, she panicked.

What was he doing!! He and she were supposed to be strangers!!

Li Xiqing, on the other hand, didn't think too much about it. He was just looking at her intently.

Shao Yan could only helplessly stepped inside and stayed in the corner, trying to be invisible.

Shao Yan really could feel a lot of eyes were on her back now. She tried to keep her cool.

Shao Yan lamented in her heart, why did she had to be on floor 56.

The elevator journey was too long ah~

Li Xiqing and Martin were discussing something in j.a.panese now. They tried to keep their voice down, but the s.p.a.ce was small, so everyone could hear them talking, although no one understood the language.

Shao Yan wanted to play around with her phone, but there was not network connection.

Mr. Hong noticed her folder and casually asked her about it, "Miss Shao, are you going to the printing house?"

Shao Yan nodded, "The book for Architect Liu is done. I'm picking them up for internal review tomorrow".

VP Zhuang suddenly spoke up, "You can pick them up later. We are all going for tea break now. Why don't you join us?".

All eyes were back on her again.

Shao Yan gave a stiff smile. Her mouth twitched.

"Thank you for the invite, VP Zhuang, but Wenhai was already waiting for me". Shao Yan quickly refused and left no room for negotiation.

Shao Yan kept praying in her heart for the elevator to quickly descended down.

Her prayer was answered, they finally reached the lobby area.

Shao Yan quickly walked out of the elevator.

She spotted Wenhai's car already waiting for her in the lobby. She walked briskly and got it to the car.

Wenhai saw her from afar and helped to open the car door from inside.

Shao Yan hurriedly went in, and they left for the printing house.

Along the way, Shao Yan was quiet and she was drowned in her own thoughts.
