I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 33 - Together, Together!

Shao Yan had agreed to meet Li Xiqing and his friends at the lobby downstairs for lunch. Li Xiqing said that they would have to drive out, so they arranged it that way.

What she didn't know was that, Li Xiqing never actually agreed to this.

The whole floor 56 was full of people, hustling around, talking on the phone, or just chatted with each other. The project office was always busy with activities. Some people in the corner were even playing dart games to relieve stress.

But then it suddenly went quiet.

Their attention was on the door, looking at the newcomers who walked in with confidence. Three great G.o.ds just descended from floor 58 to bestow them a visit??

Shao Yan was arguing back and forth with a supplier on the phone. Suddenly, she felt shadows on the side covering her desk. She turned her head around and saw three gorgeous guys were looking at her and she lost her words.

Li Xiqing, now standing next to her, just stood silently with his hand behind her chair. He just smiled down at her.

Karl and Martin waved at her with full of enthusiasm.

And the whole project office just went crazy!

Shao Yan glared at them but she still finished her call. She also decided to ignore the three of them while focusing to finish her other tasks.

The three G.o.ds didn't mind. They just stood around and talked with each other excitedly. Shao Yan could hear they were talking about the latest movie blockbuster now.

Fan jie, Lee Ying and Li Na were staring at her. Shao Yan knew it. But she chose to pretend she didn't see anything.

Huo ge and Wenhai were out of the office, on site inspection. That meant less people would teased her today.

Shao Yan just focused on finis.h.i.+ng her work as fast as possible. So she could quickly get out from here!

"Handsome brother!"

Fan jie just decided to thickened her skin and walked over to Shao Yan's desk. "Are you guys here to invite Xiao Yan for lunch?" Fan jie spoke ingratiatingly.

Li Na and Lee Ying were looking at the three men in awe. Shao Yan could only helplessly looked away.

Away from all of them!

Karl, the friendly one, answered Fan jie in mandarin, "h.e.l.lo, beauty!"

Shao Yan seriously wanted to dig a hole and hide.

"Yes. We are here to invite Yan Yan for lunch", Li Xiqing confirmed her guess earlier. His hands were still on the back of her chair.

Shao Yan felt her heart squeezed and her cheek warmed up when she heard Li Xiqing called her 'Yan Yan' so gently.

Lee Ying was so shocked, her mouth just went wide open and looked at Shao Yan with wide eye. She was thinking, 'Yan jie!! You strike big fat lottery!!!'

Fan jie tried to keep her cool, but she couldn't.

"Is that so?" She stroke her chin playfully, and then added, "Then, do you know that if you want to ask YAN YAN for lunch, you have to invite all three of us sisters as well?" Fan jie purposely enunciated her name when mentioning 'Yan Yan' to tease both of them.

Fan jie rounded Lee Ying and Li Na with her.

And then Fan jie turned to Karl and Martin while pointing to themselves and said in English, "Together. Together." Signalling as if they four sisters had to go together.

Li Xiqing didn't mind. He just put his right palm on Shao Yan's shoulder and stayed there, "Sure. Let's go together". He gave a little squeeze.

Shao Yan seriously couldn't stand it anymore. She decided to just abandon whatever she was doing and stood up.

"Let's go. Let's go now".

She quickly grabbed her purse and then she walked out hurriedly.

Shao Yan was so rushed, she even forgot her phone. Li Xiqing could only shook his head at her, and took her phone with him.

And now, the lunch that was meant to be for four of them, had grown to a group of seven.

Since there were seven of them, they decided to take two cars.

Fan jie offered to drive, so she took Karl and Martin with her, and told Li Na and Lee Ying to go with Shao Yan and Li Xiqing. Li Xiqing told her where to go, and all of them started to drive there.

Shao Yan got on the car. Li Xiqing looked at Shao Yan's phone and saw that her battery now was left to half. He plugged it into the car charger. Shao Yan looked at it, and didn't say anything. She felt that she had said too many 'thank you's to him.

On the way, Li Xiqing frequently talk to them, while Shao Yan was sometimes distracted with replying to her emails. She still had a lot of things to do ah~

After about thirty minutes, they arrived at their destination. It's an old Chinese style house that had been converted to a restaurant.

With 70% of the building still maintained it's originality, despite the few modern features inside, this place was very charming. The place was huge with high ceiling. Everything was decorated with vintage style. Shao Yan could not stop looking around. She promised herself, next time she would bring her camera over and took a lot of pictures.

Li Xiqing had made a reservation, and they were quickly brought to their table.

Their menu was all cla.s.sic Chinese dish that had maintained it's authenticity. Li Xiqing had never been here before. He chose this place based on Shao Yan's interest on old vintage building.

He searched for a while and finally found this place with good reviews online, so he decided to try it.

Each of them ordered a dish and started to chat while waiting for their food to come.

After a deadly glare from Shao Yan, Fan jie did not dare to tease her at all. She decided to channel her excited heart to talk to Karl instead.

With Fan jie limited English, and Karl limited mandarin, everyone was looking at chicken talking to a duck.

Dishes were finally here. Everything was plated with artistic sense, they looked too pretty to be eaten.

Li Xiqing, as usual, always paid attention to what Shao Yan liked to eat, and didn't like to eat. He was scooping dishes every now and then. His doting behavior really made others envious.

Shao Yan didn't feel as awkward as before when he constantly taking care of her. Sometimes, she would also scooped some food to his bowl.
