Chapter 246. Buying a building 

"Ren, what is this?"

Ren's mother said as she gaped at the luxurious building in front of her.

"Can't you see it's a building? Or I should say that it is our new home."

Ren said with a bright smile on his face but his words were enough to shock his parents.

His mother opened and closed her mouth like she wanted to say something but her words were not coming out of her mouth.

Standing in the back, his father was already sh.e.l.l shocked and his mind had already gone blank. 

The huge building in front of them was theirs!!

"Why are you so shocked? Your son is a big celebrity now. Buying a building or two isn't much for him. We can't live in our small house for a lifetime, right."

"I, I know that."

His mother said with a shuttering voice.

Ren hadn't told him about the building because he wanted to surprise them and his surprise had really shocked his parents. 

He had been thinking about buying a house for a long time but he was not able to find a suitable house for them online.

As he was making good money from dramas and advertis.e.m.e.nts, there was no need to hold back in spending it. 

A nice house was a desire of everyone and he wanted his parents to live a good retirement life.

In the end, Ren had asked Director Zhao for it and he had told him about a real estate agent who had then shown him around some places. 

After looking at some houses, Ren had finally settled on this building.

The building was fairly old but luxurious at the same time and it spanned a total of 2000 sq. meters. 

Ren had finalised on this building two months earlier, in October but due to work and other matters, it had been delayed. 

But a few days ago, Ren had finally signed the doc.u.ments and this building was legally his now. 

"Let's go in."

Ren said and he and his parents went inside the building.

"Wow!! So beautiful. The flooring is made of marble."

"I have never seen such s.h.i.+ny wallpapers before. It looks expensive."

His parents once again gaped when they saw the interior of the building. They had never seen such a house before in their life.

It was almost like they were in some kind of fairy tale.

"Ren, can I touch things here?"

Ren laughed when he heard that. His mother was acting really timid, unlike her actual personality. 

"Why are you asking? It's our house anyway. We don't have to ask for permission here."

When his mother heard that, she began going around the house, checking everything.

The building was too big for them to explore in a short time. After exploring for sometime, his parents both looked at Ren.

"How much is the cost of the whole building?"

His father asked. 

"It was just 5 million dollars."

"5 million dollars….what?? 5 million!!?"

His father's expression was a sight to see when he heard the price of the building. He even choked on his saliva because of the shocking amount.

"Ren, this building is too expensive."

"It's fine. I'm earning lots of money currently and it's not like I spent all my money in it. I still have a lot of money in my account."

Ren's earning's mainly come from his movies, dramas and most importantly advertis.e.m.e.nts.

He was also planning to release a debut alb.u.m soon, so his earnings would only increase in the future.

"But still, buying a whole building isn't necessary. It would be tough to maintain the whole building anyway."

"I would hire a maid. So, you don't have to worry about cleaning or cooking. You once wanted to open a cafe for your retirement plan, right? We can now open one downstairs."

Hearing all of that, his parents were not able to say much. Their son had already decided everything and they can see that he was doing it for them.

Honestly, Ren should have done this way earlier but it was really busy with his work.

It's only been 1 and a half years since «Secret spy» was released. Many things had happened since then and Ren was mostly busy in his projects. 

As his popularity was rising quickly, there was a need to stabilise it. So, he was neglecting his parents in all of this.

The most he had done was the trip to Los Angeles. 

'Drip!''Drip!'

Suddenly, his mother started crying.

"Dear, what happened?"

"Mother, are you ok?"

Ren also came close to her but she pushed him away, as he cleaned off the tears from her sleeves. 

Then, she said.

"No, I'm just too happy. Ren has grown so much and has made us proud."

"Yes, he had."

Ren just kept standing there without saying anything. He didn't feel like he could b.u.t.t in the conversation. 

His mother would rarely cry and the last time she had cried was when they had gone to watch «Secret spy» together. 

More than his mother, his father's att.i.tude surprised him.

Ren knows well that his father would rarely show his emotions but today, he was looking at Ren with a rare smile.

It was like he was not hiding himself. 

"Anyway, let's go eat outside today. I'm going to southern China tomorrow, so let's enjoy today."

Ren and the other cast members will board the flight tomorrow in the afternoon. The staff was already there for a week.

They were setting up everything before the cast cones there.

"Yes, let's go."

Ren and his parents have an enjoyable dinner after that. It was their most enjoyable dinner in a long while.

He was browsing some video streaming sites but he was not able to find anything interesting. There was nothing interesting in the other websites too.

Reading about celebrities and idols fascinated him but for the last two days, there was only one news on every news portal.

The news was of the Golden dragon movie awards and the winners who won the awards.

Although Xiao Yunhai had won the award for the first time, Xiao Rin was more trending than him in the SNS websites.

The tag of the youngest actress to win the best actress award was more tempting than a heavenly king winning the best actor award. 

That's why Xiao Rin's popularity was growing astronomically. 

"It's gotten old now."

Although it was a hot topic currently, the man was already bored of it. He wanted something more exciting. 

At that moment, he suddenly found a news that was climbing quickly in the real-time search rankings. 

The man quickly clicked on it and what he saw shocked him.
