"Hmmm..." Simon's feet twisted and sc.r.a.ped the ground under him as he faced the direction of all of the noise. An aura of pressure has enveloped the area where the crowd was, causing everyone to fell down to their knees.
"Who is interrupting the event?" Simon asked nonchalantly as he walked back towards the crowd.
"A dog of Demon King! You do not even bow before the sight of a divine Archangel!" A figure clouded in light and fog phased into view above the maze, holding a sword of pure light. With an expression of disgust, the archangel announced his intentions.
"I am Archangel Oriel, strongest of the angels. My brothers and sisters have already surrounded this palace and will begin the purification of the Devil n.o.bility. After this day, there will no longer be a devil force."
Suddenly a ring of angels appeared around the palace, practically blocking off all routes for escape in the immediate vicinity. Even if one were to find their way to the teleportation obelisk, they would not be able to activate it before being attacked by angels.
With this, the devil n.o.bility and the newly minted adults felt fear like they had never felt before.
"It has also come to our attention that your leader has broken through to the realm of Devil Magic. Because of this, Our lord has decided to descend onto your puny realm to destroy your ruler before your very eyes!"
"Let the glory of Lord Light fill this pitiful plane!"
The sky became lighter, and the sound of fanfare echoed throughout the palace. Only a halo of pure light could be seen in the centre of it all, like a deity descending down onto the mortal realm.
BOOM
A hulking figure appeared above all of the angels. With ceremonial robes of pure white, and and a crown made of the finest of diamonds, the exorbitant being descended on The Demon World.
"So it is you. Grand Chancellor of the Grand Union, Lord Light." Simon chuckled briefly at the sight of his would be aggressor.
"Devil, you know who I am? I have not shown my likeness to anyone in the last 300 years."
"F**king idiot, I heard it from your slave."
*silence*
"..."
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A SLAVE, WRETCHED DEVIL?!!" Oriel exclaimed in pure anger.
"Mind your words, devil. I, Lord Light, will not tolerate blatant disrespect towards my subordinates!"
"So what if call your slave a slave? The strongest of your slaves cannot even defeat the weakest of my warriors!" Simon laughed without holding back, severely offending the angels and bruising Oriel's ego.
"Listen, do you even know where you are? This is not a place where any angel can just come and go as they please. Especially when you wish to harm my people."
"And what will a puny devil like you do about it?"
"Now where is Malece Arch?! Come out before I destroy your people myself!!" Lord Light yelled furiously with his finger pointed at the palace.
"Light, you are no longer a 9th rank visionary?" Simon asked plainly as he began to hover above the ground.
"That is correct. I am not at a realm that you can comprehend. Even a flick from me can kill you."
"Oh, so like this?"
BANG
With a simple flick pointed at Oriel, Simon sent the crus.h.i.+ng force of his power through the wind and towards his target.
CRAAACK
Like a hammer upon a nut, Oriel shattered into an unimaginable amount of pieces, not even able to react to his demise as a result.
"What...! ORIEL IS DEAD!!!" An angel yelled at the top of their lungs.
This was not the power of a mere 1st rank Devil Magician. Not even a 2nd, 3rd, or maybe even 5th rank could do something like this. It was simply too horrifying to witness.
What have the angels done to invoke the wrath of a t.i.tan?
"You see? A slave. You did not even shed a tear when he died." Simon said mockingly as he pointed at where Oriel was.
"Arrgh... He was a fine angel! How dare you do this!" Lord Light recovered from his shock and released the full extent of his pressure.
"Hohoh... Lord Light, an 8th rank Angel Magician? Your slaves are far too weak. You would not even be able to use them as meat s.h.i.+elds against my lightest attacks." Simon continued mocking the angels.
"I am already at the peak of the 8th rank. When I break through to the 1st stage of the 9th rank, I will become an omnipotent existence." Lord Light plainly spoke with his hands behind his back.
"So you came all the way down to the Demon World to kill low tier devils? Does the Heavens not know that h.e.l.l will take this as an act of war?"
"h.e.l.l's Emperor has not broken through in a centuries. I can kill him easily once I break through."
"Hahah... funny thing about that." Simon hovered higher to a point that only his shadow could be seen.
"The Emperor you know is dead, and you will never live long enough to break through towards the 9th rank."
"Lord Light, you are too weak." The crackling of thunder could be heard as the sky became pitch black. Simon's horns illuminated his presence with the light of pure gold. With only himself being able to produce light which can break the darkness, he became the centre of it all.
CRACKLE
"Your mind and cunning is nothing."
BOOM
"Do you know this feeling? This is the power over the world."
"Do you know what this symbolises?"
"Do you know just who you are in the presence of?"
"Before me, you are food for my ants."
Lord Light started shaking, his eyes started blurring and his head was producing an untold amount of sweat. He could even be mistaken for a waterfall. In the presence of one such as Simon, he can only kneel and ask for a quick death.
"Now tell me, are you going to destroy my domain?" Simon's Eyes flickered with intense energy.
"No... my lord."
