Simon gestured downwards, signalling for all of the angels to return to the ground, lest they want to end up like Oriel. Perhaps they might be left with less, maybe turning into split atoms and causing a fission reaction from how weak they are. Many things taken into account, Simon probably would not use the same move on weak angels.
"So, Angels, do you accept me as your lord?" Simon asked as he landed on the ground, eyes glowing vibrantly with a mocking look on his countenance.
"I, Lord Light, no... Servant Light, hand over all of my territories and powers to my lord!" Light knelt down on the ground and did not dare look up.
"LORD! How can we bow down to a devil?! This is a sin against tradition! How can we look our ancestors in the eyes once we've subordinated ourselves to these wretched fiends?! WE MUST SLAY THEM ALL!!" An angel shouted in contest to Light.
Light knelt down at the centre of the angels. Many angels also knelt down in support of Light's decision, but a few could not abandon their pride. To the majority, these few had become a threat to all angels' continued existences.
"How am I a wretched fiend? I am kindhearted and only wish for everything to be peaceful in the realm. Have I not just slain your worst enemy, the Emperor of h.e.l.l?"
"You are evil! You killed Oriel and expect angels to bow to devils! We cannot lay down our pride to a tyrant!"
"A tyrant? I am no such thing. I only killed Oriel because he, like many of you, were here to murder my people. I for one, do not appreciate it when you attempt to murder my people. In fact, I am being very merciful in letting you all live."
"An Evil Tyrant nonetheless." An angel scowled.
"Hahah..." Simon hovered above the centre of everyone, displaying a sense of carelessness.
"I am Simonifirac Crypts, your lord sovereign." His voice resounded across the realm. Even those in their homes far away and those in the human and angels worlds could hear him clearly. His voice echoed in their ears a sense of fearlessness and absolute dominance.
"I have slain the Emperor of h.e.l.l and subordinated the Grand Chancellor of the Grand Union, therefore conquering the known realm. Many of you do not know my name, but as of today, even the deaf shall hear it. My words have transcended your barriers of worlds and reached out to the entirety of this realm."
All activity across the realm halted as people began to hear the voice of Simon and instinctively look up to the sky. As if in awe of a deity, they could only look up to him.
"My words are now law. My judgement is absolute. You will heed my words as if they are a sword to your neck, for you will thank me. The realm is unified under me, and you are now under my protection. So naturally, life will be safer."
"From today onwards, there will be no wars. I will it that if a nation dares to start conflict with another, they will my destroyed to their last person."
"Diplomatic relations will open between all realms effective as soon as possible."
"As your lord, I hope you understand that these changes are for the good of all. Any hate or animosity between races, I do not care about. You will all follow these laws or face the consequences."
"And there will be a selection for my disciples from each nation. I expect a batch of 10 candidates from every nation by the end of the next week. Do not disappoint me."
Simon finished his address and looked at the defiant angels with a face of pity.
"You still want to strike up conflict with me just because of my race? I am not sure who the real fiend is here. I just established world peace while you were shouting that I should die; your ancestors would be bowing down to me for my deed and vilifying you all for your heinous words."
"Truely pitiful. An agent of peace is only seen as a fiend." Simon internally laughed at his fine acting. He was by no means altruistic, but he did believe world peace would make his homeland safer. It also worked as a way to slap those angels right across their egotistical faces.
"Uhhh... Lord, We sincerely apologise for our hateful words and ask that you may forgive us for being blind." One of them said as she kowtowed before Simon.
At this point in time, the devil were finally coming to realise what was happening. Karlus was utterly amazed and speechless of how his son had become. Other n.o.ble devils felt pride in knowin that a devil had finally reached the peak of existences in the realm. People that knew Simon could only nod somewhat after falling into a lapse of shock. This is Simon, Ruler of the realm, subjugator of all life, bringer of world peace.
Is there more to say?
"Light, you have done well in acknowledging my power and kneeling early. I hereby grant you the position of outer disciple. Since your talent is suitable, I will grant you techniques that will allow you to become much more powerful than you can ever imagine. But know that you will never be able to defeat me." Simon hovered over Light and handed the latter a thick red book.
"I, Light, am now the disciple of Lord Simonifirac Crypts. I will obey every word of my master and learn all that he teaches me with an open mind and a determined heart!"
Light never expected Simon to outright declare world peace just like that. He did not know that such a thing would be possible. But then again, Simon had more than enough power to do so. All he had to do was order Light and take care of things on the devil side, and world peace could be established like that.
A kind of admiration started to form in Light towards Simon. He may have felt prejudice towards devils, but Simon was different. Simon did not want more bloodshed.
That could be interpreted as grace and mercy, but Simon knew it was just for efficiency.
