Lu Weisheng came downstairs for disappointment, he couldn't find the ladies who the crowd was cheering for a second ago. They were quick to drink and ready to disappear!

It didn't take long for his attention to go elsewhere. A woman who appeared out of place with the way she dressed, tried to wave down the bartender for his attention. Lu Weisheng observed her, she continuously weakly wave her hand instead of shouting out for the bartender.

"Did you want a drink?" Lu Weisheng asked.

She immediately turned towards him. Still, without saying anything. She was making gestures with her hands that she wanted a drink.

"Ahh, a drink! Okay!" Lu Weisheng snapped his fingers to get the bartender's attention, confirming she really couldn't speak. Being the gentleman he is, he decided he'll help her out.

The bartender quickly came to serve him, after all, he was the one who pays their bill.

The woman reached into her purse, trying to get out money to pay but was stopped by Lu Weisheng. He couldn't make a woman pay, and it was for one drink only. While being occupied, he did not realize the person he was looking for already sat down next to him.

Xiong Jingfei came back to order another drink. Not for herself, she had enough for the night. She needed to give Xu Suying another shot! When the bartender finished making their drink, she tugged him by the sleeve and pointed to their shot gla.s.s.

"Right away," he smiled, knowing what she meant.

Against the cool countertop, she rested her arm on top and laid her head down. She watched Lu Weisheng and the woman trying to communicate with each other. It wouldn't be considered watching them either when her vision wasn't focusing. She sighed, she can no longer drink as much as she used to in the past.

Though her focus wasn't totally there, she can clearly tell what was happening. This man next to her was about to fall for that woman's trap. He wanted to leave, but the woman was not letting him go. To trap him, she made him hold her purse, then made the excuse she needed to go to the bathroom.

Xiong Jingfei almost wanted to applaud the woman for her outstanding acting skills. Evidently, this woman was an expert in doing this a lot. Then she narrowed her eyes, watching the woman walk to the restroom. She hates this type the most.

Lu Weisheng felt a tap on his shoulders, he turned towards that weak and gentle tap. To his surprise, it was the runaway woman at the museum.

"It's you-"

Xiong Jingfei cut him off midsentence by shoving her phone into his hand. Obviously, he was confused at what she was trying to tell him. Did she want his phone number?

She used her finger, pointing at the screen on her phone for him to read.

"This..." Lu Weisheng read what was texted on the screen. Although some of the words were jumbled up, showing how sober she was.

'You are being played. She can talk.'

Lu Weisheng had a look of disbelief on his face, the woman before didn't seem like she was that great of an actress to fool him. There is no way he is being tricked.

Xiong Jingfei shrugged, she tried telling him the truth to save him.

Seeing the woman return, she took her phone out of his hand and drank the shot the bartender served. Which she realized it was not meant for her! She wanted to slam her head against the counter, telling herself she needs to leave this place or she might not leave alive.

The woman proceeds to play out her non-talking act. Unable to watch anymore, Xiong Jingfei got up from her chair.

At the corner of Lu Weisheng's eyes, he watched her get up to only trip and land directly between both of them. He wasn't sure if it was intentional or not, but she seemed to have accidentally elbowed the woman's chest too.

"Watch where you are walking!" The woman shouted, attempting to push Xiong Jingfei off her.

She immediately got up and profusely apologize before going on her merry way. However, not without turning back around to give him a smug smile with an eyebrow raised.

He sat there, stunned. The voice that came out of the woman's mouth was rather... masculine. Now he felt like an idiot for doubting her warning. It was so hard to tell, so how she can tell when she was already half-drunk. She, no he didn't look like a man...

Xiong Jingfei didn't care if the woman was a he or she. She didn't care if the woman was trying to scam Lu Weisheng for his money. It was his to spend or give it all away. What she cared about was the fact that the woman pretended she couldn't talk, so she can receive some sort of pity.

She scoffed, brings back some awful memories. Those eyes that pity her like she was a broken person when she lost her voice. Those hands that treated her like she was damaged. Worse of all, those voices that mock her for not having one anymore.

On the way to the bathroom, she happened to come across something unwanted.

"No! I can't accept it!" Zhao Fan screamed echoed through the entire hallway.

"Feifei?"

She didn't stop at the mention of her name, more like she picked up her pace. Unfortunately, being intoxicated did not help her get far from Feng Huan. Right when she was about to trip, he grabbed her arm to stabilize her. It was better if he didn't "help," it only brought on furious Zhao Fan who pushed her from the behind.

"Feifei!" Feng Huan tried to help her again but was held back by Zhao Fan.

"Is it because of her? Is that why you wanted to end things between us!" Zhao Fan screamed an octave higher, "Did the two of you planned this out?"

"Fan, listen! We didn't plan anything!" Fang Huan attempted to go around her to help Xiong Jingfei who was still lying on the floor.

"Liar! If you cheated on her before why wouldn't you do it to me?" Zhao Fan clutched Feng Huan's s.h.i.+rt, demanding for an answer she already knows.

Xiong Jingfei wanted to throw the potted plant vase next to her at Zhao Fan's head. Telling her, she should have known and to stop bring her into their problems. She has enough on her plate with the arranged marriage alone.

Feng Huan couldn't say anything back to Zhao Fan. It was exactly as she said, that's how their relations.h.i.+p originated. Xiong Jingfei caught him with her in bed.

"You want this mute over me?" Zhao Fan laughed, she thought it was the funniest thing that came out of her mouth.

Goodness, gracious! Mute, mute, mute! Is that all everyone knows what to say? She must be too perfect that no one can find anything different to say. She rolled her eyes, she'll just take it as a compliment.

She was already in the middle of getting up by herself until someone reached down to take her hand. She was about to take another tumble when her other leg tangled up with the other. Fortunately, she was caught right away, the person wrapped his hand around her waist to help her stand.

"Darling, I'm sorry for arriving late."
