Lu Weisheng ran as fast as his legs can take him up the stairs. The gold-digging woman was stopped by the security guards, who wouldn't let her through without the higher up permission. She stomped her foot then turned away with a huff. She thought she had caught a big fish when she saw initially saw Lu Weisheng coming down from the second floor.

She had everything planned out from the beginning to the end. It wouldn't have been ruined if it wasn't for that woman!

"Zheyan! Zheyan! Zheyan!" Lu Weisheng frantically shouted, sitting down on the couch next to Yang Zheyan. "Guess who I saw?"

Yang Zheyan gave him an uninterested look but decided to play along, "A woman with a curvy body, big chest and rounded bottom."

Lu Weisheng mouth curved into a smile, "You do know my preferences! Except that's not the case this time. Trust me, you really want to know!"

He waited for Yang Zheyan to beg him to spill it. Although it was only a dream that will never happen. Unable to hold himself back, Lu Weisheng blurted, "I met the woman at the museum!"

"Where?" Yang Zheyan straightens up his posture with his eyes light up with interested now.

"Here! She was heading towards the bathroom. You should have seen how she was dressed. She looked like a completely different person from earlier-" Lu Weisheng didn't get a chance to finish his sentence. Yang Zheyan was already heading downstairs, "Will no one ever let me finish talking! Hey! Where are you going?"

Yang Zheyan was too far to hear him, though it wasn't like he was going to answer if he did anyway. He scanned the dance floor quickly to the bar area, but there was no sight of Xiong Jingfei. She must not have returned yet, so he heads straight toward the direction of the bathroom.

On the way, he heard a woman high pitch scream through the halls with another voice mixing in with hers. It sounded like they were arguing about something.

"Did the two of you planned this out?"

Yang Zheyan stopped himself from turning the corner, seeing Xiong Jingfei arm being held by another man. The man no one else than her ex-boyfriend, Feng Huan. There was a dark storm brewing in his eyes as he watched what was going to happen next.

He almost rushed out to help Xiong Jingfei when he saw how hard she was pushed to the ground. He stopped himself when he heard Zhao Fan screaming, "Liar! If you cheated on her before why wouldn't you do it to me?"

He knew this information already, it was on the papers the investigator he hired wrote down. Feng Huan had a one night stand with Zhao Fan, and Xiong Jingfei happened to walk in on them the same day. What a coincidence!

The only reason he hasn't come out yet was that he wanted to see if she still had feelings for Feng Huan. However, he kept seeing her hand reaching out, trying to grab the potted plant next to her. Then she dropped her hand as if she gave up whatever idea was going through her head.

"You want this mute over me?"

Then something inside Yang Zheyan snapped hearing the word mute. Was there something so wrong with being one? Hearing from his mother, he can still tolerate but hearing from an unknown woman. It was unforgivable.

While those two were arguing, he helped Xiong Jingfei stand up. Then putting on his G.o.d-given smile, "Darling, I'm sorry for arriving late."

"Yang Zheyan?" Feng Huan immediately recognized him.

Yan... What? Xiong Jingfei thought she heard a name she didn't want to hear.

"Darling, I told you not to drink so much." Yang Zheyan pulled her closer to his side, ignoring Feng Huan. Thanks to his many years of practicing on doing it to Lu Weisheng, he did it so naturally that it didn't offend Feng Huan.

Yang Zheyan smiled brighten up more seeing Xiong Jingfei expression. It was between confusion and, "Do I know you?" He heard she has a terrible memory for faces. Except she should at least recognize her fiancee when seeing him. He felt hurt a little on the inside, especially when he knew who she was the moment his eyes landed on her.

Feng Huan took a step closer to them, "May I ask what is your relations.h.i.+p with Feifei?"

Feng Huan did an awesome job at hitting one of Yang Zheyan never existed until now nerve. Who does he think he is? Calling out his bride-to-be name so intimately. On the inside, he scoffed, enjoy it while you can.

"Feng Huan, I see that you have eyes. Are you perhaps blind?" Yang Zheyan angelic smiled grew brighter by the second insulting Feng Huan. Then he leaned down, giving Xiong Jingfei warm cheeks a light kiss.

Suddenly, it brought a sense of familiarity between both of them. Xiong Jingfei felt a heavy thump against her chest, and it was not due to the alcohol. She turned her head to find his face very close to hers. He regained his composure, giving her a genuine smile before turning to face Feng Huan again.

"Does this help open your eyes?" Yang Zheyan slowly walked away with Xiong Jingfei, going at the same pace she was. He wanted to get her out of this place. She didn't need to keep hearing unimportant people insulting her. He only came to a stop when he heard Zhao Fan shouting, "Older brother Zheyan, that woman is a sly fox! She's lying to you!"

"Oh?" Yang Zheyan turned back around, tucking Xiong Jingfei's loose hair behind her ears. "Miss Zhao, how is she lying to me? Do enlighten me with your words of wisdom."

Zhao Fan smirked, getting the opportunity to talk with Yang Zheyan at last. She took his words as a compliment, hearing his smooth, calm voice.

"She lied to Huan that she didn't have anyone. Turns out she had a fiancee all along! You're being cheated."

First of all, when did he become this woman "older brother?" He doesn't recall having a little sister. Second, she didn't lie to Feng Huan. Both of them had recently found out about the arranged marriage. Something Feng Huan did not look into before making a rash decision in breaking things off. Well, it does make things it easier for Yang Zheyan. Lastly, he is her fiancee, so how can she cheat on him with him.

"How can my wife put a green hat on me with me?" Yang Zheyan asked.

"W-wife?" Feng Huan stammered, he didn't hear it wrong, right? No one mentioned that Xiong Jingfei was married already.

"Ah, sorry. Feifei is not yet 'my' wife but will be in the coming months. I am her betrothed groom." Yang Zheyan grinned, telling Feng Huan she was off-limit. "My darling~, you lost your ring again. No wonder you have insect buzzing around you."

He glanced at her ringless finger, he really needs to get her one as soon as possible. It'll help lessen these unwanted pests.

"Miss Zhao likes to insult my wife..." Yang Zheyan dropped his smile. "What was it again? Ah, a mute?"

Zhao Fan froze, she didn't think he heard her yelling at Xiong Jingfei for being a mute. In the past, when she appeared in front of Yang Zheyan, she always tried to look proper and ladylike. Hoping she'll catch his attention because everything about him was better than Feng Huan.

"I'll see past it this once because of your father. Do it again, and we will see what happens to you." Yang Zheyan didn't want to waste any more time on these people. Seeing the half-asleep Xiong Jingfei, he bent down and lifted her into his arms.

At this moment, Zhao Fan's father words came slapping her across her face. "Do not be fool by Yang Zheyan's smile and smooth words. He didn't get this far based on a smile."
