The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 75 - 75 Eat More

October stared blankly at the pile of food in front of her. It wasn't that long since the food arrived so when did this food start piling up? 

October turned to Lexus then to Grandpa He. Both were still even trying to put some food on her plate. She felt her veins pulsating in her head. 

"What are you two doing?" She asked and the voice she used was so cold that the temperature in the room dropped significantly. 

"You have to eat more. You look too skinny." Grandpa He said as if to defend himself.

"That's right. Especially now that you're not the only one eating."  Lexus said gently as he patted her head affectionately. He then leaned down to whisper in her ear, "And I want to feel some meat on you."

Lexus hissed in pain when he got himself pinched furiously by October. He looked at her and surely, he was glared at. 

Grandpa He saw that glare and was a little surprised. Even though it was just for a moment, he clearly saw her gaze.

The Song couple also saw this but did not say anything. However, what made Song Wei wonder was to why Grandpa He looked surprised. That was just a normal glare so there was really nothing out of the ordinary.

"You know I can't eat all of these." October really felt helpless at how these two were acting  Isn't this a bit too much? 

Mother Song nodded her head in agreement. "I agree."

October felt relieved that someone understood her. She looked up and locked eyes with Mother Song. The look in her eyes were just soft yet strong at the same time. But then a plate full of dishes were pushed toward her by Mother Song and her body immediately stiffened.

"You really are skinny. Don't let yourself be in too much stress with work and don't skip your meals. You have to eat more." Mother Song said with a smile on her face as her once cold eyes were now filled with humor. 

Father chuckled at the sight of this. Because of how his usually cold and overly indifferent son was now showing such expressions and being so intimate, without even considering that they were in the adults' presence, he was relieved and happy about his son's change and proud that his son's eyes were not blind. Just looking at October and that temperament she has was enough to know that she was a lady like no other.

The atmosphere in the room were light and warm. The people around the table were eating and being merry. The tension between the two families at first immediately vanished, as if that tension did not even occur in the first place. 

At this unexpected turn of events, the two big and powerful families from City A that don't have any connection with one another even in the slightest bit were now suddenly connected by marriage. This is a situation wherein n.o.body had ever antic.i.p.ated.

"This..." October looked at the two plates piled up with food in front of her. She was just so utterly flabbergasted at this. She never thought that Mother Song would also join in on "feeding" her. Just looking at the unbelievable amount of food that they wanted her to consume was really horrying. How can she be able to eat all of this? She was not that thin to begin with, at least that's wht she thought. 

"Well then, let's also eat." Father Song clapped his hands and said with a voice filled with laughter. Thankfully, the three stopped putting food on October's plate and started to eat as well. 

October blankly stared at the food in fron of her. After a few seconds, she went to start eating it. She was still on her first plate but she was already full. She bit her lips and was really at a loss for words but then she heard a soft chuckle beside her. Turning her head to look at Lexus, she saw his eyes dancing and glowing a brilliant light. They were full of laughter in them. 

Pursing her lips and glaring at him, she got a piece of meat and placed it in front of him. "Eat."

"No." Lexus raised his brow at her and just looked at the food in front of him. He looked at her darkening face and his urge to tease her was getting stronger. "I won't eat that."

"Eat or else." October gritted her teeth and squinted her eyes dangerously. Who said that they should put too much food on her plate that was enough for 5 persons?! That was just totally insane. She can't clearly eat it all up. 

Lexus' eyes glinted and his smile ws more dazzling. He looked at October cute angry face and had the urge of wanting to kiss her. Unfortunately, there were other people in the room. He then leaned in and ate the food that was in front of him without breaking his gaze away from October's. 

October felt her heart jump a mile. What was that? She felt her face turning hot and even her body was rising in temperature. What was that cold yet sultry eyes he used while looking at her? 

Clearly, October's actions backfired.

Grandpa He's face was livid. He glared at Lexus and almost wanted to gnash his teeth at him. He wanted to kick Lexus away and throw him out of the room. But no matter how much she so wanted to do that, he used all of his strength just to force him to control his surging anger. Turning to his granddaughter, he then sweetly asked, "Lan'er, feed your grandpa too."

Lexus looked at the old man and couldn't help but frown. His brow twitched as he looked at the petty-looking old man beside October. He was looking at her with such antic.i.p.ation. 

Lexus was really dumbfounded of how childish Grandpa He was. What is this old man trying to do now? 

Mother Song looked at the scene unfold in front of her eyes and a soft smile spread on her red lips. Suddenly, she felt a a hand patting her lap. She then turned to her husband who was looking at her with his doting eyes. 

"Have a bite of this, too. They're delicious." Father Song said as he also put a piece of meat in front of Mother Song. 

a.s.sistant Ke and a.s.sistant Yu was later then got invited to sit and eat with them. Surely, they declined but they were just so insistent until they finally gave in. Both then looked at the people around them and was just silently watching this heart-warming and lively dinner. The food on their table seemed more appetizing and the taste of it seemed to be so delicious.

After a few moments, they had finally finished eating. All were silent and were now having tea.

Song Wei looked around them and was the first one to open his mouth to say, "Master He, I would like to apologize for what my stupid  son did. However, I saw that he was serious and seemed really happy. So I would like to request of wanting you to grant them your blessing in their marriage."
