The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 91 - 91 Tears

The moon shone brightly on the dark skies littered with twinkling stars of various sizes. These quiet yet surreal view became a magnicent backdrop of the back garden of the Song mansion where two people, one standing and one kneeling on one knee, were currently there as if highlighted with their uniquely cold yet sweet atmosphere that had filled the atmosphere around them. 

The leaves rustled at the pa.s.sing night wind and the petals of the flowers got blown away and floated around the garden with those two people at the center. With the nature's sound, it gave the two a unique music played for them. 

The wind picked up and blew toward October making her bun undone and her black hair cascading down her back in waves. At this sight, Lexus seemed like he was getting more and more mesmerized by the woman before him. The longer he looked, the more he fell for her. His throat run dry, his heart quickened its pace, and his hold of her hand tightened. 

Why isn't she saying anything? Does that mean that she won't accept him anymore and would rather divorce him? Will she really dare to leave him? Questions kept popping in his mind that dread washed over him and he even got more nervous.

If she would really reject him, then what should he do?

While he was drowning in his despair, suddenly he felt a drop of water on his hand. Is it starting to rain? He looked up the skies and saw that it was free of dark clouds. He then looked up to her and his heart immediately quiver and his mind went blank at the sight of her.

Lexus immediately stood up and panicked at October's tears falling down from her eyes. He was dumbfounded. However, he still tried to calm himself and hid his panicked self. Reaching out his hand gently wiped her tears.

October's face that were stoic were now slowly cracking open to reveal her delicate and soft side. She felt like she was about to burst with emotions. She was completely overwhelmed that her eyes started to well up and tears fell down one after the other. According to her research, pregnant women tend to get more emotional than usual so maybe this happening to her right now was because of her pregnancy.

"Why are you crying? Are you hurting somewhere?" Lexus asked worriedly. "Or is it because of my proposal?"

October watched his cold and rough face becoming fl.u.s.tered and uneasy while carefully wiping the tears on her face. His hand brus.h.i.+ng across her face were cold and and slightly shaking. It must have been really tough for him to propose like that to her. It must have took a lot of thinking and courage when he did that. 

Warmth slowly enveloped October's chest and it spread in her body like wildfire. Looking at his distressed face somehow made her chest squeeze in pain. 

Ah. He really got me this time. 

After a while of thinking about his proposal, Lexus hardened himself and coldly said with firmness in his voice as he stared deeply on October's eyes that were still glistening with her tears, "I...We already registered our marriage. You're already my wife. So..." Lexus said but couldn't finish his words. He was hesitant about saying it, thinking that she might not like it and would outright reject him.

"...Yes." October said after a long pause.

"Huh?" Lexus was taken aback. 

Lexus was always smart and sharp; however, right now, he felt like he had gotten dumb.

"Foolish man. Why are you dumb at this time?" October coldly said but her eyes were sparkling and playful. Slowly, her face softened and said to him with the most bright smile, "Yes, I'll marry you."

"Ha...haha...hahaha!" Lexus laughed delightedly that he almost jump around in glee. He was already almost at his wits end and was already almost giving up. This woman...seriously! He almost went crazy.

"You really are daring enough to say that I am a fool. Not that I really mind." Lexus said while gently flicking October's forehead. He then continued to wipe the remaining tears away from October's face. 

"You really know how to make your husband go crazy about you ah!" Lexus sighed in relief as he run his fingers through his air. He can still feel that his heart is stil beating so fast and have not yet calmed down. 

"Yes, though I would truly be troubled if you'll really go crazy." October lightly said as she looked at the peircing blue eyes s.h.i.+ning at the moon's light. Ah, she could stare at them all day and night without getting tired of it.

Chuckling, Lexus brushed the back of his hand on her cheek then trailed down to her hand. He then got the ring and inserted it to October's delicate ring finger. The three diamonds on her ring s.h.i.+mmered under the moonlight. However, in Lexus' eyes, October's smile were more brighter than any other that it was blinding him. 

Without taking his eyes off of her, Lexus lifted her hands and kissed it tenderly.

"You know, you still look beautiful while crying." 

October lifted her brow at this and flatly said, clearly not happy at what he said, "Are you saying that you would not mind seeing me cry?" 

"No! That's not what I meant!" Lexus immediately blurted but then paused when she heard a giggle. Looking down, he saw her giggle while looking at her. Her face were still pinkish and her nose were red because of her crying.

October's giggle were like bells ringing in Lexus' ears. It was so resounding that left Lexus flabbergasted. In the 27 years he had lived, this was the first time that he felt so overwhelmed with happiness and became enamoured with someone as amazing and gorgeous as the woman in front of him.

"I know. I was just teasing you." October said with mirth clear in her eyes. Right now, it was like she was a different person. The Ice Director was nowhere to be found. Instead, she was almost as if replaced with a bright and warm person only. If Lexus did not see her being like this, he would have a hard time believing it. However, no matter if she was the blank-faced director or the her right now, it does not matter for Lexus for he will accept and love her for who she was.

Lexus' lips twitched at the sight in front of him. He could not believe that he just got teased like this by his wife. "I don't mind getting teased by you as long as you are happy."

"Hmm...okay." October said as her face returned back to its serious and stoic face, "Then, I'll be in your care now...hubby."

Lexus fell silent and stared deeply into October's eyes. Both were silent and were at each other's arms. With the moon as their witness, accompanied by the nature's music, the atmosphere were warm, cozy, and just romantic. 

Then, Lexus slowly leaned down and his eyes half-closed. His face slowly getting nearer on October's till their noses touched. October's heart beats rapidly and got herself drowned in his burning eyes. Slowly, her eyes closed.
