The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 92 - 92 Phone Call

Lexus leaned down to kiss October's soft lips. The kiss was sweet, gentle, and not hurried. The two were taking their time in this lovely moment they shared. The coldness of the night breeze did not bother the two at all. The two were unperturbed.

Ring...

But of course, some things can never be stopped which had, unfortunately, interrupted Lexus and October. Lexus was so p.i.s.sed at this moment that his face frosted over and his eyes glinted dangerously.

It was, in fact, his stupid phone ringing.

Lexus shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled his phone out in a hurry, he answered his phone with a growl, "What?!"

At this time, Lexus could not care less about being harsh with his tone or anything of that matter because he just got himself so terribly interrupted at his sweet time with his wife. It was just so unacceptable that he just thought of how he would get back at the person who called him with a such "great" timing. Seriously! He was so mad that it was making him crazy.

"Ha! Such tone you got there, my dear son." Jane's voice sounded on the other end of the phone that immediately made Lexus' face to stiffen for a bit. Because of the fact that October was looking at him, he needs to quickly hide his stiffness.

It was just the tone that Lexus' mother used was so mild and soft and it seemed like she was smiling. However, he knew that behind her mother's smile was seething coldness. 

"Hmph! Now you are being silent." Jane said as she rolled her eyes at her son. "Anyway, knowing how p.i.s.sed you were when you answered the phone, I can already tell you are with my daughter-in-law. So I disturbed you, huh. Well, not that I care about it."

Lexus' lips immediately twitched at the mocking tone of his mother. Even if he wanted to talk back, and knowing his mother, she would definitely make him eat a loss and vomit blood. He would rather offend his father but never his mother.

Lexus remained silent but did not forget to wrap his free hand around October's  shoulders and held onto her tightly. At this cold night, he has to keep his dear wife warm and free from getting sick. Keeping silent is better than saying words that may or may not be used against him. It would be more troublesome if he had to deal with his mother's dark temperament.

"Anyway, I have already prepared the necessary things needed to do on our end. Also, I already contacted my friend and asked her to make some designs for my daughter-in-law's wedding dress. Your formal wear for the wedding is also been prepared in order for it to complement the wedding dress. If my daughter-in-law have other ideas with regard to the design, she can tell me all about it so I can tell my friend to make some alterations on the design. Tell her that she does not need to hold back about anything. Wedding is, of course, a once-in-lifetime event and every woman have an ideal wedding that they wanted to have, surely your wife also has one. So, with that, I'll be sending her designs later tonight." Jane nonchalantly said as she gave a glance at the five designs drawn on pieces of paper spread across her table in her study. "Considering that you two were in the middle of something, I will send these designs tomorrow so you can look into it. The night is still young so you younsters should just go do whatever you want but not too much since my grandchild is already there."

Mother Song did not linger much and just said the things she needed to say. Lexus did not even say much during this phone call and had just remained entirely silent. However, she just had to say that last sentence out loud making the woman in his arms to stiffen.

October just realized that Mother Song was really sharp and quite blunt about it too. However, considering that they were already expecting a child and that they were already married, on paper, it was ought to happen more often...right? Just that the way Mother Song said it was so calm and nonchalant as if the things she said was not that much. Was that even something a mother-in-law should say so frankly? But October really does not know.

Lexus shoved back his phone inside his pocket. After that, he took off his suit jacket and draped it over October's shoulders before landing a kiss on her forehead. "Well, you heard her so..."

October saw that seductive smile that Lexus wore on his handsome face and the burning gaze he looked at her was just so penetrating. In a blink of an eye, her face turned red. Even if she wanted to look away, Lexus was holding her chin up to look at him.

"So let's go and continue where we left off." Lexus' smile widened ever more as he started to pull October back inside the mansion. 

"What?" October exclaimed but still got dragged by Lexus. At this time, she just noticed the maids and butlers on the garden and on the opened backdoor. 

Ah? Since when were they there?  

October felt stupid at her own question when she already know the obvious answer of that. To set up this numerous lights on the vast garden, of course it needs a lot of helping hands to finish this. 

But still! To think that she was not able to notice them when they were obviously popping their heads out of the bushes and trees to look at them, it made October even more ashamed of herself. She was even more convinced now that her attraction to Lexus was never miniscule for it was already enough to make her lose her attention to her surrounding.
