The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 94 - 94 Working Women

"Good morning, Director."

The usual greeting that October received every working day. However, the employees noticed that something was kind of different in the atmosphere that their director was carrying. 

Although it was subtle, there really was something bright radiating from her but they could not put a figer on it. Just that she was still expressionless as ever yet they were still left bewildered and confused. Soon, they gave up on it and just continued to watch their director's slim back that was exuding with calmness, elegance, and confidence.

"Good morning, Director Park." A jovial voice sounded which October immediately recognized.

Octobee turnee toward the person who have called her and bowed respectfully toward that person and greeted back, "Good morning, Director Sheng."

"Lovely weather, don't you think?" Director Sheng lightly commented as he looked outside the clear gla.s.s doors and and walls of the building.

October straightened herself and followed his gaze and agreed, "Indeed so."

The Director and a.s.sistant Director seldom meet early in the for the directors all have a different timetable than the rest of the employees and so it was really a sight to see these two indivuals standing side by side in the hallways of the first floor, even though the two were of the same department. After that short pleasantries they each exchanged, they proceeded on entering the elevator under the curious eyes of all the employees on the first floor.

"You know, Director, you seem kind of different." Director Sheng smilingly said at October once inside in the elevator. He could not say for sure if it was good or bad but he just a.s.sumed that the change in October was good and so he bluntly said and quite unreservedly at that. With his hands behind his straightened back, he looked over the stern-faced October.

"I am?" October asked at no one in particular. She does not seem any different to how she usually in the past. Hee clothes were the same as before and she does not remember having any new office clothes. Also, her hairstyle and shoes were also the same. There was also, definitely, no color on her face aside from her light pink lipstick. So there really was no change on herself. "I don't seem to feel any different, Director Sheng."

Director Sheng laughed, making jis shoulders shake rhythmetically. "You seem rounder and your complexion seems s.h.i.+ny."

"Director Sheng, it is rude to say that women are fat." Octobr flatly said, not at all uncomfortable or intimidated with her superior in saying things that were on her mind. Just that, some people would no doubt spread rumors about her which may or may not be good for her.

"No, I'm not saying that you are fat. Director Park don't put words on my mouth." Director Sheng said while shaking his head.

October then gave Director Sheng a sideway glance but did not say anything much.

"What I am trying to say is that you don't look tired like you always have. Your complexion too is health.

"..." October, having heard this, does not know how to answer or know what to say. Slowly, under the scrutining eyes of Director Sheng, her small jade-like face slowly got tinted with a rosy blush.

"Hmm." Director Sheng hummed as his eyes squinted while he smiled. Seeing how October fan herself with her hand despite the fact that the inside of the elevator is considerably cold, he chuckled at how jittery she had been. Even if her face was still blank, her eyes however was telling otherwise.

"Calm down, child. I won't ask for any details." Director Sheng started with a warm gaze that has tinge of happiness and helplessness. He then straightened his back more and said, "I'm happy to see you changing like this. So whatever choices you made, I will support you."

October turned to Director Sheng and a complicated look flashed pa.s.sed her green eyes. She felt her chest warmed up. She was undeniably touched at the kind words she received from Director Sheng, but she still can't tell him everything about her family at this time.

The elevator door dinged and opened. It was the floor where October's office was located.

"Thank you, Uncle." October said as she bowed her head once again at the man she most respected. After that, she stepped out of the elevator. Even if not now, her family background will sooner or later be exposed for everyone to know.

Director Sheng, still with a kind face plastered on his face, nodded his head at October and the elevator door closed. Seeing that, October then proceeded in walking toward her office.

"Good morning, Director." Yun Xixi greeted with a bright smile gracing her delicate face as soon as she noticed her boss walking toward the office. After that, she went to help her boss carry her things into her office with much delight.

"Morning, Xixi." October replied in greeting. With a warm look on her eyes, she looked at her bubbly secretary and thought that she really looked like a cute fluffy white pomeranian dog. Unconsciously, she lifted her hand and patted Yun Xixi's head.

After doing that, she stopped and looked at Yun Xixi who was looking at her with shock which greatly mirrored hers. She was just thinking how cute her secretary was but, the next thing she knew was that her hand was already on her secretary's head. She was really surprise at what she did.

October cleared her throat awkwardly and quickly went to her table and sat.

Yun Xixi was left stiffly standing at the center of the s.p.a.cious office. What just happened? She blinked her eyes once, twice, then she furiously blinked her eyes. Realizing that she looked foolish at her actions, she then slowly came back to reality and hurried to her boss' table and placed her things on it looking as fl.u.s.tered as she ever was. Considering that her idol, her boss, just patted her head, there were not much words to describe what she was currently feeling.

After that little incident, Yun Xixi went back to her table and started working; the same goes with October.

"Director Park, the figures you needed for the seasonal promotion for the next quarter is a bit high. I revised the figures for you and will let my secretary bring it to you for your perusal. That is just a suggestion on my part." a.s.sistant Director Kang Mei said on the phone. She is the a.s.sistant director for the accounting department. Even though the two are on the same floor, they rarely see each other. Also, the age gap between the two are quite big resulting for them to not have much topic to talk about aside from their work. However, despite this, they still respect each other as women working in the same company.
