The CEO's Lovely Wife Chapter 95 - 95 Sketches Of Designs

"Yes, I'll look it up and review it for finalization. I will be troubling you again after revising. Thank you for this, Director Kang." October said, with a trace of respect clear on her voice. Among all the female executives in the company, she was most respectful toward this a.s.sistant director.

a.s.sistant Director Kang was a woman of pride and perseverance. Despite being at her position for almost a decade and not able to advance on the higher position, she was not at all discouraged with her work an was even more working diligently. Even if it were of minor issues or errors, she would no doubt be so prudent with her checking that such mistakes were corrected in a second. 

Working with such an outstanding woman was really such a great opportunity. Having to work with her, October wanted to at least learn something from her or two. With that, she will also grow as an individual and as a professional.

However, unknown to October, Director Kang also respected this young director who worked her way up the ranks and did not fold under the pressure of the people older than her and was even striving to work even harder. She was somehow made to realize that age was just a number and that hardwork and perseverance were some keys in unlocking one's potential and can help in reaching to greater heights. With that, a.s.sistant Director Kang liked this young and charismatic a.s.sistant director.

"Mm." Director Kang replied with a small smile hanging on her lips. "Well then, if you'll excuse me."

"Yes." October said while nodding her head. After that, Director Kang ended the call and both continued to do their work.

A knock was heard on October's door and came in was Yun Xixi walking towards her with binded doc.u.ments on her hand. 

Yun Xixi then gently placed the doc.u.ments and said, "Director, this is the doc.u.ment that Director Kang's secretary delivered for your perusal." 

At this time, her eyes wandered on October's table and noticed scattered papers that was not the usual papers with reports and graphs but those were sketches of designs for a gown. What made Yun Xixi more surprised was what gowns those were. Just the elegance and sophistication of the gowns and it's color and the design itself were all screaming what the gown was for. They were, without a doubt, sketches of wedding gowns. 

October noticed that Yun Xixi was still standing by her table. She then paused in looking through some doc.u.ment and raised an eyebrow at the wide-eyed Yun Xixi who was looking intently on something. She followed her secretary's gaze and her eyes rippled for a moment before it returned back to its normal calmness.

"Is there anything else you need, Xixi?" October asked as she randomly picked up one of the papers with a sketch on it. 

Yun Xixi flinched as soon as she heard her name being called. She turned to October and saw her nonchalantly looking at the designs. 

"N-no, director." Yun Xixi immediately shook head. Her pretty face was flushed in embarra.s.sment. She just got herself caught by her boss snooping around her private affairs. With that, she quickly bowed her head and turned her heels to walk out of the office but was stopped midway when she was suddenly called again by her boss.

"Xixi, do you know about fas.h.i.+on, even if its just a little bit?" October asked coolly as she leaned her back on her chair, looking relaxed and comfortable but still have a graceful demeanor. 

October looked at Yun Xixi intently with her calm eyes making the poor Yun Xixi uncomfortable under her gaze. 

"I am an amateur when it comes to fas.h.i.+on, Director. But I usually like looking at fas.h.i.+on magazines and the like." Yun Xixi feebly said as she s.h.i.+fted her weight from one foot to another.

October nodded and asked again, "What do you think would be a gown that suits me?" 

October was just outright frank. She did not ask in a roundabout manner and instead asked straight to the main point. For her, such things will just be a waste of time.

Yun Xixi blanked out for a second before exclaiming with a glitter in her eyes, "Everything would really  definitely  suit you, Director! Oh my gos.h.!.+ With your raven black hair swept to the side adorned with glittering flowers that would seem like stars s.h.i.+ning in the night sky. Then your gown hugging your body that showed your magnificent curves on the right places. Then your gown that flowed down like waterfall from your waist down to your soles. Aahhh! So magical! So beautiful! So stunning!" 

October's lips twitched as she saw her secretary being so enthusiastic that she can almost say that Yun Xixi was already immersed in her own world. She find it funny and cute that she then couldn't help slightly shook her head in helplessness. Just that, isn't her secretary overestimating her saying that any gowns would fit her? Also, the question she asked was still unanswered and she doew not want to ask again for the words that Yun Xixi used were terms she could not understand.

"Oh my. I talked too much. I'm sorry, Director." Yun Xixi apologetically said while covering her mouth. "Did I somehow gave you an idea, Director?"

How could October say that she did not get any idea from the  glittering  words that came out of Yun Xixi's mouth? She just just pursed her lips tightly as to stop herself from saying frank words. 

"Yes, I have a vague idea on it." October ligtly said and sat back up and stared again at the designs. "Thank you, Xixi."

"It's my job to be of help in any way possiblr, Director." Yun Xixi grinned widely as she enthusiastically skidded out of October's office.

After seeing that her door closed with a click, October sighed and arranged the scattered designs that was on her table and set it aside. For now, she will have to skip that and continue the work on hand. If she let herself get stuck with this, she won't have any progress with her work and that was one thing that she must prevent in happening. 

With that, the issue regarding her wedding dress was put to a halt and was immediately thrown at the back of her mind. 

When lunch came, just as Yun Xixi and October were starting to eat, a call from Yun Xixi's telephone sounded. Yun Xixi then immediately got up from her chair and went to her table to answer. She talked to the person on the phone then nodded her head and went back to her seat as soon as the call ended.

October did not ask her about it and thought that it was just some trivial matter.

"Young madam, young master sent me to give you this." He said as he presented the a packed box in front of October while respectfully saying this.

Yun Xixi's ears instantly perked up as soon as she heard this man calling her boss "young madam." She quickly turned to the man who was respectfully bowing his head toward her boss. She then turned her head to look at her boss with a gaze full of gossip. She wanted to know ah! She will pay any amount of money even including her savings just to know hear recent news involving her boss. She was dying to know ah!

"Thank you, Lyndonn." October thanked the man who she recognized as one of Lexus' bodyguards. After that, Lyndonn took his leave silently under the curious and burning gaze of Yun Xixi, making the poor bodyguard s.h.i.+ver.
