"If you don't trust me, then It's not required. I'm sorry. I will order lunch for you." Arlo didn't expect her to doubt him.

"Wait!" Sky took a deep breath and continued, "What else do you expect me to say when you ask me out of nowhere. Are you sure you can manage without affecting the work?"

"I'm certain." He replied confidently.

"You have to take care of everything. Cleaning will be done by the staff." She took her card from the bag and pa.s.sed it to him.

"Kitchen wasn't used on this floor for more than a year. You may have to check and change."

"I will look into it now." Arlo replied excitedly.

Seeing him leave, She couldn't understand why he was so exhilarated, "Arlo! I will kick you out if I don't like your cooking skills." She wasn't serious and she was just scaring him.

"No problem Ms.Sky." Arlo replied and exited her office.

'Why do all these men know cooking?' Sky asked herself and started working.

Arlo had ordered lunch for Sky and sent it to her. Then he called Ryan, "I'm sending pictures of kitchen s.p.a.ce with measurement and requirements. Plan everything and send them."

"Sh*t. This is not fair. You never cooked when I asked you. You always do everything she asks. Am I still your brother?" Ryan scowled.

"She didn't ask. I did. Now arrange or else I will forget I have a brother." Arlo replied and hung up the call.

After having meals with Sky for so many days, he understood she wasn't picky and enjoys all types of food.

He sent pictures, measurements of the room, kitchen design and a few kitchen appliances lists. Even though Ryan was jealous of Sky, he did everything as requested.

Soon Arlo's people came to restructure the kitchen. He relayed some more information and returned to work.

News about this soon traveled to David. The latter immediately guessed Arlo must-have heard a conversation between Sky and Kris. After thinking about it for a while, he called Arlo.

"Chairman Harley!" Arlo greeted first.

David hummed, "What's going on?"

Arlo knew about David very well so he explained immediately, "I heard the conversation between Ms.Harley and President Lan. But that's not the sole reason for me to decide cooking. If she likes President Lan, don't worry I will not interfere between them."

David again hummed and was about to hang up, Arlo spoke, "Chairman Harley, Is Ms.Sky allergic to any food or spices?"

"Peanut. She is allergic to peanuts." David replied. 

"Thank you! Chairman Harley. Have a pleasant day." Arlo hung up the call.

He thought about all the foods they have ordered and ate. Thankfully there were no peanuts in any of those dishes. When Andy informed him, he didn't mention it.

People sent by Ryan were very efficient and they finished in limited time and left. Sky didn't think about it much and left office after studying with Arlo.

The next day, Arlo brought groceries, fresh vegetables and meat on the way to the office. Around twelve o'clock he informed Sky and went to the kitchen. He had the same intercom connection in the kitchen if in case anybody calls.

Sky checked the time and called Arlo, "Shall I come there or you getting it here?"

"Ms.Sky, I will bring it in ten minutes." Arlo replied before hanging up. Sky thought to check in the kitchen and went there.

Sky leaned on the door frame and saw the small kitchen which seemed larger in a full white interior with a wooden top on the cabinet. Two walls had cabinets, cooktop, and many electronic appliances. Towards the gla.s.s wall, there was a small tall round table with two metal swivel bar stools in white. The left side of the door had a mini wine rack with the wine bottles and half a dozen wine gla.s.ses.

Arlo's back was facing Sky. He was busy serving the plates and didn't notice her. Sky lightly tapped on the door and entered. Arlo turned around and saw Sky entering inside.

"Ms.Sky?"

"Kitchen interior matches with my office interior. You changed them?" Sky went towards the table and sat on a barstool and pointed him to the other seat.

Arlo was delighted to know she would be eating there. He had specifically picked the round table and mentioned he needs only two bar stools. Even if anybody wants to join, the table would be too tall to use with other chairs available on the last floor.

He knew there was a camera in her office and others would be watching. But there was no camera in the kitchen except at the entrance.

"Yes! Added steel finis.h.i.+ng instead of black." He quickly arranged the table and sat down.

"You don't have to arrange like this." Then she pointed at the center rectangular bowl, "This is Burrito Bowl?"

Arlo nodded. "Are you sure I will like it?" Sky asked as she looked at the beautifully arranged bowl.

"Try it." Arlo was optimistic.

Sky took her fork and tasted. Rice and black beans were perfectly cooked, with avocado, lettuce, and tomato it tasted delicious.

It wasn't her first time she tried burrito bowl hence she could tell it tasted yum because of cream sauce. She ate another spoon before speaking.

Arlo could tell from her expression that she liked.

"This is very tasty, especially the sauce." Sky said as she continued to eat.

Arlo smiled, "That's the chipotle cream sauce."

"But the taste is a little different. You prepared it?" Sky spoke in between each spoon.

Arlo nodded, "You are such a foodie." He didn't expect her to know the difference.

Sky smiled and pointed one more dish, "This?" It was a curved thick light brown base holding flavored meat topped with curd, cuc.u.mber, radish, and cilantro.

Sky saw him looking at the dish without answering. "Don't tell me that this is your own dish." Sky said it and took one to eat.

"It's spicy." Arlo warned.

It was in small size hence she kept it in her mouth in a go. A chuckle escaped from his lips before he could realize and pa.s.sed a tissue to her looking at her puffed cheeks.

Sky slowly chewed it, the base was crispy, meat was tender and spicy but it was flavourful with curd on it. Sky slowly enjoyed and commented, "Scrumptious."

"I never thought you could cook so well."

"Are you really going to cook for me daily?"

"Ahh, If you cook like this, I will become piggie soon." Sky thoroughly enjoyed the lunch.
