The cla.s.ses for the day ended yet again. Linri was honestly annoyed today. Whenever he was alone Chesa would come over and tell absurd stories. She was like a clingy girlfriend. However, he didn't even have enough power to refute her. Whenever he tried to speak she would just shush him and say she didn't need any thanks for sharing her wisdom.

He was getting ready to leave the cla.s.s after packing his stuff. He had an appointment with Hayato about another heist. This time it was probably more dangerous than the time they broke Kris out but it should be fine since it was going to be a small three-man team.

On another note, he was also excited from tomorrow. Today in the lunch break they cast votes to pick the Student Council president. Tomorrow the school was going to hold an event to give the winner his post and make a statement about the recent attack on the school grounds.

He didn't care about the statement. He was excited because he was finally going to be able to meet a certain immortal. Elvario to be exact. If he did not remember it wrong Elvario was going to win the elections and he was going to make a speech about how Ms Snow was evil and shouldn't be trusted. He had even accused her of being the reason for the attack. At the time Linri wanted to get into the good books of the admin Luxor so he had sided with Snow and refuted Elvario's claims, saying that they didn't hold any evidence and she might very well be an angel. Now that he thought about it that was hilarious. He didn't think that he could be this gullible.

While Linri was deep in thought a blue dog cut his way. It had some interesting light blue tribal patterns on its fur.

"Hey, young man. Is your name Linri?" the dog spoke to him.

Linri ignored the dog and just walked past it. Nothing good can come from interacting with it.

"I am speaking to you. Hey!" the dog kept barking and followed after Linri.

Of course, he kept ignoring the dog but it decided to bit him in his cuff to stop him from walking.

"What!?"

"So you finally stop ignoring me? Are you Linri? You should be him? My nose can never be wrong! So why did you ignore me? Did you think you were getting crazy hearing a dog speak? This is very much real. Also didn't your parents teach you about respecting your elders-" The dog kept speaking and speaking. For f.u.c.k's sake, he had heard about energetic dogs but this was a first.

"Stop, stop! What did you want to say?"

"You are still disrespecting me. Today's generation is so outrageous. Never paying any heed to what their elders have to say" The dog was about to go off on another tangent. That was when Linri saw Kekkei.

"s...o...b.. Snacks" Linri shouted towards Kekkei and he threw one towards him. Oh man, Kekkei might be insane but Linri liked the fact that he never asked questions and just went along with everything. The fact that he has a sub-dimension which contained literally everything was also a bonus.

"You want this? You want this? Who is a good boy, who is a good boy?" Linri played with the dog after taking out a snack and dangling in front of it.

"I am. I am a good boy. I am the best boy. Give it to me! Give it to me!" The dog forgot what it was saying and started to jump up and down.

"Okay! Sit" the dog sat down.

"Look at me. Look at me in the eye" said Linri while pointing towards himself. The dog looked at him but its eyes were wandering towards the snack from time to time.

"Who is the alpha? I am the alpha"

"Yes! you are the alpha. Now give me the snack! Pretty please" The dog was getting restless. Its tail was wagging furiously.

"Take it" Linri threw the snack up into the air and the dog jumped to catch it.

"Who is a good boy? You are! Yes, you are!" Linri started to scratch the dog behind the ears.

"Yes, I am the best boy. I am the bestest boy. Give me more!"

"Paw" The dog raised its paw.

"Good boy!" Linri threw another snack into the air which it promptly gobbled up.

"One more! One more!" The dog was going crazy over the snacks. It started ran around him in circles. No wonder that scaredy-dog s...o...b.. could do all those insane stuff just for a treat of these.

"Sit" the dog sat in front of him. Linri put a treat on its snout.

"Wait... wait..." It was becoming restless.

"Give me the command. Please"

"Wait... wait... Go" The dog flipped the treat and gobbled it up.

"Okay, who is the alpha?"

"You are the alpha! You are the alpha!"

"Who is a good boy?"

"I am! I am!"

"Rollover" the dog rolled over on its back.

"Stomach" the dog laid on its back showing its stomach and Linri started to scratch it furiously. It was on cloud nine and its leg kept kicking out showing how much it liked it.

"Sit" the dog immediately sat awaiting his further commands. Its tail just didn't stop moving, showing how much it liked him... or the treats but tomatotomato.

"Now speak" It really was fun to play around with this dog since he was a dog person himself but he had other things to do.

"*Bark* *Bark*" it looked at Linri expecting another treat but Linri didn't give one. He just rolled his eyes.

"No, you idiot I meant; speak about why did you stop me"

"Oh right" then the dog had a moment of realisation. Did it just do all that embarra.s.sing stuff? Even show his stomach to him? That was the best way a dog could show its submission.

"Did you just? How dare you disrespect your elder? I tell you the new gen-"

"Stop" the dog stopped speaking and whimpered. Curse these animal instincts forcing it to obey him!

"Who is the alpha?"

"You are..."

"Louder!"

"You are!" Linri threw it another treat. After eating it, the dog climbed to his feet and made puppy eyes begging for more.

"No more treats. Now tell me why did you stop me?"

"Oh right," The dog regained its senses. It didn't want to trample its pride like that but those treats were so d.a.m.n good!

"*Ahem* My name is Baxter Ni-"

"Stop" The dog stopped speaking.

"Did I ask you to tell your life story? Just cut to the chase"

"Yes yes yes. I am Ellie's father and came to check up what kind of a person you were" Ellie was short for Elizabeth. Her primary power was invisibility. Nothing could see through her aside from his thermal vision and that was only because Ravii had allowed it. Normally she wouldn't even appear on sonar. But that also meant that she didn't have any sort of attacks making it a big weakness. That was why as a secondary ability Ravii had given her the [Spirit Companion]. Honestly, this was the reason Linri didn't want to interact with it in the first place. Otherwise, he would have loved to keep rubbing its cute little tummy.

"So? Are you satisfied?" The dog tilted its head.

"Wait, are you not going to ask why her father is a dog?" The dog asked in surprise. Linri just rolled his eyes again.

"No. She is an orphan and you watched her grow up so you consider her as your pup"

"How did-" Linri cut the dog short before it asked the most obvious question. Honestly, shouldn't people have heard of this by now? Why did everyone have to ask the same cliché question? Geez.

"I am an info broker and I know everything about her. Satisfied? Now can you please let me go my way?"

"Then you knew who I was from the start?" A realisation dawned on it.

"Pretty much" said Linri while scratching its ears.

"But you still ignored me. Why?"

"It's because I don't want to have anything to do with her. Are you happy? Now you can go back to your master. Shoo," The dog didn't move an inch.

"Why? Why don't you want to have anything to do with her? If your answer doesn't satisfy me I am going to bite you to death *Growl*" The dog arched its back and showed him its teeth. He seemed ready to pounce on him.

"*Sigh* so you are also another hypocrite. If I were to say I liked her you would be all like 'young man you don't deserve her so before both of you gets hurt, stop this relations.h.i.+p'. But now that I rejected her your fragile little ego can't handle the fact that someone might not like your beautiful little princess. Because I like dogs I am gonna let this slide but if you dare to show me those teeth again I will turn you into a pile of ash, understood?" Linri said while patting the head of the dog. His actions and words didn't match at all! He clearly liked the dog and couldn't possibly hurt it.

The dog stopped its antics and looked confused. Then it left the place with its tail between the legs.

When Linri was out of its sight the dog spoke again.

"I am sorry Ellie" its head was looking down.

"Don't worry. It's not your fault" a voice came from beside it. She sounded heartbroken.
