"Fine! You know what! I don't care! Get yourself killed and see if I even move a muscle! But I am warning you! If you lay your hand on Brie, I will f.u.c.king rip your head off!" said Linri.

"Stop stop! We don't need to fight amongst each other. I am sure there must be a civilized way we can handle this" said Kou trying to stop Linri from doing anything. However after what he said she started to suspect Fosse's motives too. Even though Linri had a foul mouth most of the time he had done countless good things ever since coming here.

She wasn't there to see it but she heard he stood up against Zero to stop The Opening Ceremony slaughter. He helped Brie to deal with Tory. He protected Jaime on the first day he arrived here and provided her with a home. He always made his intentions clear and warned them ahead of time about The Game instead of acting like an ally and then betraying them. So he wouldn't have lashed out like this for nothing. He wasn't even hanging out with them but still acted like he was angry towards Fosse's path of evolution.

That should have been a tacit agreement that he was going to help him when Fosse's master comes here. And the part about the Church of the Sun might be a warning to Fosse. Maybe he was trying to chew more than he could swallow and Linri was warning him about that. What did they call this in anime terms? Ah, yeah! A tsundere! Always acting like the bad guy so that others wouldn't have to do dangerous things. He was such a sweet guy like that.

Linri just felt a bone-chilling cold. That should have been impossible concerning his body. He also noticed the strange gaze Kou was giving him but ignored that totally. If he did not acknowledge its existence that meant it never happened.

Anyway, for now, Linri had other matters to think about. For example how he was going to fight against Leon. If the trio hadn't encountered Fosse's party it should have been easy. Yui would have tanked Leon and activated her [Snow Field] and [Icy Breath] but with Rondo and Fosse here as frontline fighters that plan was out of the question. 

Then what now? Maybe Rondo can be the frontline fighter and Yui can stay behind. She would be covering their backs. That wasn't such a bad idea.

*Drip*

Linri felt a tiny drop of water fell to his face. He immediately pulled out his guns while the others looked at him dumbly.

"Didn't you hear that brown-haired guy? We shouldn't fight against them" said Rina as she stood in front of him.

*Drip* *Drip* *Drip*

More water started to drip from the ceiling. This time others noticed that too and didn't say anything. Each took their individual fighting stance and looked towards the ceiling. They knew that the next form of Leon was going to be [Water Lord] so they were tense.

*Drip* *Drip* *Drip*

The water continued to drip but nothing else happened.

"I guess we were being paranoid?" said Kou.

"Maybe," said Linri and lowered his guns but he didn't put them back into their holsters. He was still wary of a possible sneak attack. Just like they say it was better o be safe than sorry.

*FWOOOOSH*

Suddenly the ceiling collapsed and water started to spray all over them. The water did not slow down and it got even stronger. Soon all six of them were washed away by a sudden wave. Linri held his breath and created a hand made of fire which held him in place.

When the wave stopped he saw Leon standing in the middle debris looking at him. At first, he had his usual arrogant face but his expression changed when he noticed Linri standing in front of him.

"You!"

"Me?" Linri acted like an idiot. Even though Leon had different elemental incarnations he was still the same person and of course, that meant he remembered Linri.

"How dare you!? How dare you look down upon me you filthy animal"

"Weird. I don't remember doing such a thing... Ah! Are you the mangled flesh I killed just now?" said Linri as he put out an oscar worthy acting.

"Hahahaha, I bet you are surprised right? I bet you are s.h.i.+vering inside. Asking yourself how can he still be alive right?" Leon started to laugh maniacally.

"Nope not really," said Linri as he carefully put wox on his breast pocket.

"That's because I am a G.o.d! No matter how many times-" 

*BANG*

Leon's words were cut short by the sudden gunshot. The bullet had grazed his face and now it started to bleed.

"Bla bla bla, I am immortal, bla bla bla, you can't kill me, bla bla bla, I am dying how is this possible!? So can we skip forward to the part where you are dying? I am honestly bored with your third rate egoistical villain s.h.i.+t" Linri said sarcastically.

He obviously had no intention to stand here all day and listen to Leon's blabbering. The reason he was playing along just now was so that his friends could regain their footing and join the fight. He might be the strongest student in the school but he was not arrogant enough to think he could solo a boss.

There were too many instances where his arrogance cost him and he had no intention to repeat them again. Since he had teammates now why should he fight the boss alone?

"You filthy animal! How dare you!? How dare you hurt this divine being?" Leon lost his temper. A vein had even popped in his forehead.

Leon shot three water blades travelling at [3x Superior Speed] towards Linri which he dodged without even breaking a sweat.

"Is that all? Man, what has this world come to be? Now every random Tom d.i.c.k and Harry has the audacity to call themselves G.o.ds. *Sigh* Better put him out his misery before the real G.o.ds get angry and smite him" said Linri sarcastically.

[Inferno Cage]

The move Linri sealed because it was not worth its cost was unsealed again. Now that he did not need to worry about imploding he didn't need to limit his ability usage. He could finally go wild without thinking about the consequences!

A cage made out of azure blue flames surrounded Leon. He was worried at first but once he noticed it was made out of fire he started to laugh again.

"Just what you would expect from a dumb animal. Don't you know that I control water? How can you be dumb enough to use fire against me? Hahahaha" said Leon as water covered his hands.

He grabbed the cage's bars to instil fear onto Linri, however, he noticed the mocking smile on Linri's face. When he grabbed the bars suddenly he felt like thousands of lightning bolts. .h.i.t him at the same time. His hair stood up like spikes and foul smoke was coming out of his mouth.

As Leon was disoriented due to sudden shock he was. .h.i.t by all of Linri's friends' attack. Rina's [Impact Bolts] dealt especially hard considering lightning countered water. Instead of just dealing [4x Extreme Strength] of damage each of them dealt [5x Uber Strength] of damage!

Due to the sudden barrage of attacks smoke covered the hallway. Linri readied his guns and got ready to shoot the moment he saw the shadow of Leon. He was also frowning. If Leon was still okay he should have broken out of his [Inferno Cage] but he could still feel his connection to it. That meant Leon still should have been alright.

"Did we get him?" Rina asked.

At that moment Linri just wanted to turn back and shoot this idiot right between her brows. Don't you f.u.c.king know what a flag means? You just f.u.c.king created a flag that signalled Leon was alright. For f.u.c.k's sake go and read some manga or some s.h.i.+t.

The smoke in the hallway was dispersed and Linri could see a golden water body surrounding Leon like a bubble. He seemed like he was still okay but a little haggard. f.u.c.k! Now, do you see what have you done you little bimbo? And they said only the women with blond hair was dumb... that was a little s.e.xist. Linri retracted that statement. He didn't want some social justice warriors (SJW) ganging up on him online.

"*Cough* What did you do?" Leon asked Linri as he coughed up blood. Phew, thankfully they still managed to deal some damage to him.

"Who knows" Linri replied back as he shrugged. Then he started to shoot at Leon's golden water barrier.

The bullets travelled at [6x Superhuman Speed] and instantly struck his s.h.i.+eld. Seeing the result Linri frowned. They weren't able to penetrate the barrier and he was looking at him smugly inside it. Ugh, this suddenly became hard mode. If he could not penetrate the barrier how was he supposed to kill this motherf.u.c.ker?
